In order to solve the bounding box deviation while the object moves rapidly, which will cause the loss of the object, an improved Kernelized Correlation Filter object tracking algorithm is proposed based on motion estimation. The block-matching algorithm is used to estimate the motion of the tracking object in the adjacent frames of the video sequence, and the estimated results are quantified to judge the severity of the object’s motion. Then the size of the search box is adaptively adjusted. Two data sets of both OTB100 and OTB50 are selected for the experiments. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm can effectively solve the problem of object loss caused by rapid object movement and achieve long-term stable tracking of objects.

The Inertial Measurement Unit/Global Positioning System/BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (IMU/GPS/BDS) tightly coupled integrated navigation system and navigational positioning system uses observation information based on the code pseudorange. The system can effectively improve the accuracy of the pseudorange-observed quantity based on the carrier-phase smoothed pseudorange, thereby improving the accuracy of navigation and positioning. However, the measurement noise after pseudorange smoothing does not conform with the characteristics of white noise, which causes the Kalman filter to easily diverge. At the same time, the stability of the filter is more seriously affected due to the presence of cycle slips. In connection with the aforementioned problems, the characteristics of the smoothed pseudorange noise is analyzed and a noise model is established in this paper. On this basis, a robust adaptive filtering algorithm is designed to carry out online, real-time estimation and compensation on the measurement noise, which, in combination with the robust estimation theory, carries out filtering to reduce the effects on the filter brought by the level of measurement noise and the uncertainties of the model. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that, in a complex environment, the robust adaptive tightly coupled integrated navigation system based on a carrier-phase smoothed pseudorange has higher positioning accuracy.

This research paper addresses the pivotal domain of image classification, a field with profound real-world applications. The significance of classifying hazy images into distinct categories lies in the ability to apply the most suitable dehazing algorithm for each class. Relying solely on human perception is deemed suboptimal due to its unpredictability and vulnerability to bias, underscoring the need for an algorithmic approach to image classification. The initial binary haze-clear classification is refined into six nuanced categories: dense fog, thick fog, moderate fog, light fog, thin fog, haze. While convolutional neural networks (CNNs) excel in image classification, manually constructing network structures for specific tasks requires numerous trials to fine-tune a multitude of hyperparameters. This process is time-consuming, and finding the fittest hyperparameters suitable for target data poses a challenge. This research paper introduces a Differential Evolution (DE) based automatic network evolution model, optimising hyper-parameters by exploring the fittest parameters. The proposed evolutionary algorithm identifies optimistic hyperparameters. By merging the capabilities of the Differential Evolution algorithm with a sophisticated classification system, this research promises to push the boundaries of hazy image classification. This approach enhances classification accuracy and empowers subsequent applications by delivering cleaner and more detailed images. The results showcase a more efficient and effective approach to tackle the challenges posed by atmospheric haze, ultimately contributing to advancements in computer vision, object recognition and various domains relying on visual data analysis.

Nowadays, advanced devices such as mobile phones, allow us to easily take digital photos. But sometimes, the result doesn't come out as expected due to corruption by various noises. Here is where the image denoising methods can play an important role. In this paper, we present a novel image denoising algorithm based on Wiener filter, discrete wavelet transforms (DWT) and Akamatsu transform. The Wiener filtering is used as a pre filter block and the combination of DWT and Akamatsu transform along with usage of crucial factors optimum values obtained using particle swarm optimization (PSO) helps this method to have high performance in image restoration. The proposed method was applied to four gray scale 512 × 512 size standard images corrupted by Gaussian and Salt & Pepper noises and the algorithm outcomes were within acceptable range. Peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) is used to compare the performance of our new algorithm with some of the other existing schemes. Simulation results proved that the proposed algorithm works well and has better performance in image denoising than some of its counterparts presented in the literature in the case of PSNR improvement.

Reverberation is one of the major causes of speech degradation. The popular weighted prediction error (WPE) technique performs dereverberation by estimating the late room reflections using a multi-channel prediction filter. However, the length of the prediction filter in each short-time-Fourier-transform (STFT) band must be sufficiently long to model the late reverberation component accurately. This leads to inverting a large matrix in every frequency bin, making the WPE method computationally expensive. The WPE method is also vulnerable to additive noise. To tackle these issues, we present a computationally efficient dereverberation technique in this work. We decompose the long prediction filter into three smaller sub-filters using third-order tensor decomposition. One sub-filter acts as a spatial filter, while the other two act as temporal prediction filters. We then develop an iterative algorithm to get optimal solutions for all three sub-filters. The spatial filter is optimized as a weighted distortionless beamformer to deal with noise, while the temporal filters are optimized as weighted Wiener filters. Since the lengths of the sub-filters are smaller, the respective covariance matrices are computationally easier to invert, leading to an efficient algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is robust to noise and outperforms the current WPE based algorithms in terms of dereverberation.

This paper introduces an advanced methodology for the design of an infinite impulse response (IIR) of order 8, utilizing the Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA). SSA is a cuttingedge meta-heuristic optimization technique inspired by the foraging and anti-predation behaviors of sparrows, renowned for its swift convergence and precision in identifying optimal solutions. This study harnesses SSA to optimize critical filter parameters, including peak stopband attenuation, transition width and normalized passband attenuation. The optimized coefficients derived through SSA are employed to develop a high-performance IIR filter. Comparative analysis and experimental results underscore the superior efficacy of the SSA-based design approach over traditional optimization techniques, demonstrating notable improvements in accuracy and efficiency. This work underscores the potential of SSA as a formidable tool for the sophisticated designing of IIR filters, offering significant advancements in the field of digital signal processing.

In industrial production, obtaining the discrete status of equipment from massive time series data has become an urgent demand, which places higher requirements on the time series classification (TSC) algorithm. The feature-based TSC method achieves interpretable and potential classification capability by extracting meaningful descriptive statistical features. Limitations exist in current feature-based TSC algorithms, hindering the acquisition of diverse statistical features due to a lack of knowledge and insufficient research on processing redundant features, thereby limiting performance enhancements. Therefore, in this article, a novel feature-based TSC algorithm tracking differentiator-based multiview dilated characteristics (TD-MVDC) is proposed. The innovative introduction of a tracking differentiator combined with dilation mapping as a preprocessor into the feature-based TSC method is proposed to improve feature diversity efficiently. Ensemble feature selection based on filter feature selectors with different store ratios is designed to generate multiview features to enhance feature stability quickly. Linear classifiers and hard voting to fastly classify and integrate multiview features to increase classification performance robustly. Finally, comparative and ablative experiments are conducted between TD-MVDC and the representative feature-based TSC algorithms on the extensively compared UCR archive to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

The research aims to improve underwater image quality due to the scattering and absorption of light, resulting in poor image quality and reduced visibility. In this study, we propose a novel approach for underwater image enhancement and object recognition using Convolutional Neural Network, or CNN algorithms with the integration of a median filter, implemented in MATLAB. The median filter serves as a preprocessing step to reduce noise and enhance image clarity, while the CNN algorithm is employed for object recognition in the enhanced images. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in image quality and object recognition accuracy compared to existing methods. The proposed framework offers a promising solution for underwater applications such as marine biology, underwater surveillance, and underwater robotics, where clear imaging and accurate object detection are essential.

Breast cancer is the globe’s initial highest death-causing cancer in women which is given to the international agency of analysis on cancer-the World Health organization and the American cancer society. This paper expounds on the classification of breast cancer from the mammogram images MLO view. This paper proposes a technique to de-noise the mammogram Images using the improved bilateral filter and improved canny edge detection for the breast tumor. The region from the image is then selected using the New Gabor cut algorithm. The Mean Square Error and Structural Similarity are proposed to be improved using the improved Bilateral filter. The approximation in the background and foreground extraction for the Region of Interest is performed proposing the New Gabor cut algorithm and so the Edges were drawn predominantly by using the improved Canny Edge Detection. The Mean Squared Error and Similarity Index is 15.65 and 0.91. Doing This Pre-processing will facilitate further research in the Feature Extraction process to detect breast cancer in an efficient way.
