Today's rapidly changing world has led travelers to seek customized experiences that align with their individual preferences and interests. With the continuous evolution of the digital realm, the expectations of users interacting with online platforms for travel planning and reservations are also evolving. To cater to the demand for personalized recommendations and enhance the user experience, we propose the incorporation of a Content-Based filtering algorithm into our tour website. This algorithm, in conjunction with a recommender system for Travel and tourism management, enables users to book tours nationwide through a single dynamic website that provides comprehensive information on various destinations and tour specifics. Developed with PHP as the front end and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 as the back end, the website is compatible with all browsers. Programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and PHP were utilized in its creation. Administrators have the capability to add tour packages from selected travel agents and hotels by establishing a tour page. Subsequently, users can register and reserve each package, with confirmation managed by the admin in the booking management section. Users can easily view their confirmations in the “My Booking” page, making this platform user-friendly for all travelers seeking seamless bookings and detailed information. Furthermore, alongside implementing a Content-Based filtering algorithm for personalized tour recommendations, we aim to promote the availability of accommo-dations in local rural areas. This endeavor not only presents travelers with cost-effective lodging choices but also contributes to the economic growth of the communities they visit.

As an alternative to quantum error correction, quantum error mitigation methods, including Zero-Noise Extrapolation (ZNE), have been proposed to alleviate run-time errors in current noisy quantum devices. In this work, we propose a modified version of ZNE that provides for a significant performance enhancement on current noisy devices. Our modified ZNE method extrapolates to zero-noise data by evaluating groups of noisy data obtained from noise-scaled circuits and selecting extrapolation functions for each group with the assistance of estimated noisy simulation results. To quantify enhancement in a real-world quantum application, we embed our modified ZNE in Quantum Random Access Memory (QRAM) - a memory system important for future quantum networks and computers. Our new ZNE-enhanced QRAM designs are experimentally implemented on a 27-qubit noisy superconducting quantum device, the results of which demonstrate QRAM fidelity can be improved significantly relative to traditional ZNE usage. Our results demonstrate the critical role the extrapolation function plays in ZNE - judicious choice of that function on a per-measurement basis can make the difference between a quantum application being functional or non-functional.

Removing noise in digital images is a fundamental operation that arises in many application domains. In this paper we consider the median filter, a filtering technique that replaces the color of each pixel with the median of those in a square neighborhood of fixed radius. For some use cases, the size of the neighborhood or the image depth may be large, making existing algorithms either too slow, or not applicable at all due to excessive memory requirements. In this paper we describe architecture-specific optimizations that enable the computation of the median filter with arbitrary window size and image depth on multicore processors and GPUs. We report preliminary results that indicate that the parallel implementations are suitable for practical use, with the GPU version outperforming the CPU.

In order to solve the problem of low registration accuracy in traditional point feature matching algorithms, this paper proposes a high-resolution remote sensing image registration algorithm based on locally invariant feature points. Firstly, a bilateral filter is used to preprocess the reference image and the image to be registered separately, preserving their edge information and removing noise. Secondly, extract local invariant feature points from the preprocessed two images. Then, bidirectional matching is performed using the Euclidean distance ratio method of nearest and second nearest neighbors to obtain matching feature points[1]. Finally, perform affine transformation on the registered images. To validate the method's effectiveness, we propose the affine transformation root mean square error (AT-RMSE) as an evaluation metric for accuracy. PLEIADES images from two time phases in Shenzhen are selected, and the results demonstrate that although the bilateral filter increases the running time of the algorithm, it can reduce AT-RMSE by more than 55%; In addition, registration methods based on SURF features have better performance and significantly improved accuracy compared to SIFT based methods.

This study addresses the contemporary issue of cyber violence by developing a malicious content filtering algorithm to enhance online environmental health and safety. Leveraging comprehensive natural language processing (NLP) techniques, the research focuses on capturing implicit meanings and contextual associations in harmful speech through a cross-platform, multilingual algorithm design. The proposed system aims to achieve precise identification and effective blocking of toxic content across social media platforms, news comment sections, and forum discussions. By accommodating diverse linguistic and cultural contexts, the solution seeks to significantly reduce the dissemination and societal impact of malicious discourse, ultimately contributing to a more harmonious and equitable digital ecosystem.

In this article, the meta-hybrid intensified current search (MHICuS), one of the most efficient metaheuristic optimization techniques, is applied to optimally design the fourth-order active band-pass filter. The structure of the considered fourth-order band-pass filter aligns the Sallen-Key topology. Results obtained by the MHICuS will be compared with those obtained by the classical technique using the Butterworth filter coefficient comparison principle. As results, it was found that the fourth-order active band-pass filter designed by the MHICuS provides very satisfactory frequency response with closer to the ideal response than the classical technique using the Butterworth filter coefficient comparison principle.

Image denoising is a critical task in various fields such as digital photography, medical imaging, satellite or remote sensing, and, also preserving important image details while removing noise is essential. This paper introduces the Hybrid Adaptive Median-Gaussian Filter (HAMGF), a novel method designed to effectively mitigate both salt-and-pepper and Gaussian noise especially in grayscale images. The proposed HAMGF technique combines adaptive median filtering, which dynamically adjusts the window size to remove impulsive noise, with adaptive Gaussian filtering, which varies the smoothing strength based on local image variance to reduce Gaussian noise. However, the proposed hybrid technique is implemented on a variety of noisy images, demonstrating its ability to outperform traditional filtering methods that are typically specialized for single noise types. HAMGF not only excels in reducing noise but also in preserving critical image features or details, such as edges and fine textures, making it particularly suited for applications requiring high-fidelity image restoration. The results highlight the flexibility and robustness of HAMGF, showcasing its potential for broader adoption in noise reduction tasks. The proposed research work demonstrates an important advancement in the area of image processing which is offering a versatile as well as powerful tool for the enhancement of image quality across varied domains.

Muscle activity monitoring plays a vital role in diverse fields, including clinical examination, rehabilitation assessment, and human-robotics interaction. However, the quality of acquired physiological signals often suffers due to limitations in sensor flexibility, robustness, and resistance to interference, which hampers the realization of long-term muscle activity monitoring. In this study, we introduced a novel wearable, flexible monitoring system, comprising a Magnetic-Inertial Measurement Unit (MIMU) and surface electromyography (sEMG) sensor. The designed flexible electrodes exhibited superior performance with low contact impedance and high signal-to-noise ratio. Additionally, we proposed an adaptive filtering algorithm based on a finite-state machine framework. This algorithm effectively compensated for orientation information by utilizing an electromagnetic interference observer and dynamically filtered electromyographic information through automated notch filter adjustments, enhancing the system's robustness against electromagnetic disturbances. Furthermore, validation experiments were conducted on five subjects across different muscle groups. The results, obtained from 12 hours of continuous monitoring with measurements taken every two hours, showcased consistent low contact impedance (60.32±12.15kΩ) and high signal-to-noise ratio (17.64±0.53 dB) of the designed flexible sensors. Notably, the system successfully improved posture-related information and dynamically filtered sEMG signals in environments with random magnetic field interference. In summary, our proposed flexible wearable monitoring system demonstrates promising capabilities in acquiring high-quality sEMG-orientation data, offering reliable and superiorquality information for applications in human-robot interaction.

Stereophonic acoustic echo cancellation (SAEC) requires the estimation of four unknown impulse responses by using four corresponding adaptive filters. The affine projection algorithm (APA) is an attractive solution, which has improved tracking speeds with respect to the classical alternatives. It can be employed by reinterpreting the SAEC setup and using a single complex valued adaptive filter. In this paper, we propose a regularization technique for the APA designed to mitigate the effects of double-talk situations on the adaptive process.

Contextual ASR or hotword customization holds substantial practical value. Despite the impressive performance of current end-to-end (E2E) automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems, they often face challenges in accurately recognizing rare words. Typical E2E contextual ASR models commonly feature complex architectures and decoding mechanisms, limited in performance and susceptible to interference from distractor words. With large language model (LLM)-based ASR models emerging as the new mainstream, we propose a CTC-Assisted LLM-Based Contextual ASR model with an efficient filtering algorithm. By using coarse CTC decoding results to filter potential relevant hotwords and incorporating them into LLM prompt input, our model attains WER/B-WER of $1.27 \% / 3.67 \%$ and $2.72 \% / 8.02 \%$ on the Librispeech test-clean and test-other sets targeting on recognizing rare long-tail words, demonstrating significant improvements compared to the baseline LLM-based ASR model, and substantially surpassing other related work. More remarkably, with the help of the large language model and proposed filtering algorithm, our contextual ASR model still performs well with 2000 biasing words. 1
