Energy-efficient design for buildings (EEDB) is a vital step towards building energy-saving. In order to greatly improve the EEDB, the next generation EEDB software that makes use of latest technologies needs to be developed. This paper mainly focuses on establishing the model of the next generation EEDB software. Based on the investigation of literatures and the interviews to the designers, the requirements on the next generation EEDB software were identified, where the lifecycle assessment on both energy consumption and environmental impacts, 3D graphics support, and building information modeling (BIM) support were stressed. Then the workflow for using the next generation EEDB software was established. Finally, based on the workflow, the framework model for the software was proposed, and the partial models and the corresponding functions were systematically analyzed. The model lays a solid foundation for developing the next generation EEDB software.

The shortage of guidance of perfect mental models is one important reason of failure of business process reengineering (BPR) in enterprises. First of all, the importance of mental model to BPR is discussed based on exploring about both BPR reasons and influencing factors and the framework model of the relationship between mental model and BPR is constructed. Then the defect of mental model in the enterprises which need BPR is analyzed. Extracting 3D information of an object from its 2D projection is a primary objective in contemporary computer vision research and thus has long been studied. In this paper, a new method for reconstructing the 3D framework models of a planar object from its 2D hidden-part-drawn line drawing is proposed. The hidden-part-drawn line drawings are depicted under the perspective projection. Some constraints between edges and vertices are given on basis of the positional relations of lines and junctions in the drawing. We have established a linear system based on these constraints. The 3D framework information of a planar object can be obtained by solving the linear system. The feasibility of our method is proved by mathematics and the experiment results.

With the rapid growing of the network scale and its capacity, the traditional peer-to-peer (P2P) network management model is not suitable. In this paper, we present a novel network management framework model called "Cloud to Cloud" (C2C). In this model, a number of management services are deployed on geographical distributed servers to form a management service cloud, and NMS uses services provided by this cloud to manage the underlying physical network cloud. This paper describes the general characteristics of the C2C model, and then introduces its architecture, information model, communication model and functional model. In the end, we give an implementation framework of C2C model in the wireless access network management.

An implementation on this model with free-shaped region partition is also introduced. Our highly image-adaptive scheme can achieve coding gains of 1.0-1.5 dB for compression ratios larger than 10:1 in comparison with conventional quadtree scheme.
