Based on fullyactuated technology, a sliding mode control approach is suggested for helicopter systems with all degrees of freedom. First, the degree of nonlinearity and coupling is lessened by applying the feedback linearization technique. And the helicopter systems transform into fullyactuated systems. Secondly, a sliding mode controller is built with the assumption of system stability in order to achieve the intended tracking task. Third, the reliability of complete closed-loop structures is investigated using Lyapunov theory. Finally, this work presents simulation data to validate the effectiveness of the designed control technique.
