With the continuous expansion of power production scale, safety risk assessment has become a key issue to ensure the stable operation of the power system. To address this issue, this article proposes a power production safety risk assessment system based on fuzzy logic algorithm. Firstly, a fuzzy membership function is established to quantify risk indicators in response to the fuzziness and uncertainty factors present in the power production process. Subsequently, an evaluation model based on fuzzy reasoning is designed to comprehensively evaluate and weight analyze various risk factors. Finally, a corresponding evaluation system is developed to achieve real-time monitoring and early warning of safety risks in power production. Through experimental analysis of actual power production data, the results show that the accuracy of the fuzzy logic algorithm system in risk identification reaches 87.5%, and the average error in future risk prediction is 2.87. In the above data conclusions, the evaluation method based on fuzzy logic algorithm can effectively warn potential safety risks when processing complex risk information, and has significant advantages, which can provide strong support for the safety management of power production. © 2024 IEEE.

Herbs produce non-woody stems and have many applications in medicine, food, and perfume products. We used an electronic nose system and a fuzzy logic algorithm to identify herbaceous plants in this study. The gases emitted by the plants were analyzed with the MQ sensors. The results were used with a fuzzy logic approach to identify the name of the plant. The performance of the prototype system was evaluated for Oregano, Spearmint, and Peppermint with 38/45 plant samples. The prototype showed an accuracy of 100% for identifying oregano, 73.33% for spearmint, and 80.00% for peppermint. The overall accuracy was 84.44%. © 2023 IEEE.

Active vibration control of a hoop truss structure with piezoelectric bending actuators based on a fuzzy logic algorithm

Active vibration control of large flexible space structure is a challenging topic in the system dynamics and control of spacecraft. This paper proposes a novel approach for vibration control on a large hoop truss structure, typically used as mesh satellite antenna. First, to suppress the first-order bending modal response of the hoop truss structure with an initial disturbance, a piezoelectric bending actuator with excellent bending actuation performance was carefully designed as a key component of an active vibration control system. Then, the actuating characteristics of the actuator and the dynamic equations of the active structure were analyzed and formulated based on a finite element method. In order to improve the vibration-attenuating effect of the control system, a Mamdani-type fuzzy logic algorithm was employed in a closed-loop control system. Finally, simulations and experiments were implemented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed active control approach and structure. The experimental results showed that the decay time of first-order bending modal response (around 0.34 Hz) of control system reduces by 75% compared with that of the uncontrolled system. The results demonstrate that the proposed active vibration control system has good application potential in controlling the bending modes of a large flexible spacecraft.

With the development of modern society and economy, modern business models have changed. Enterprise management is no longer the main function, which requires new management concepts to coordinate production and operation and create new management models. Corporate economic management is one of the main tasks of corporate governance. In order to improve corporate governance, the effective corporate economic evaluation model must be established. The advantage of fuzzy logic algorithm is that it can effectively express fuzzy data and is easy to understand, which is more transparent. The application of fuzzy logic algorithm in the research of enterprise economic management can fully reflect the advantages of fuzzy logic algorithm and improve enterprise governance. In this paper, the fuzzy logic algorithm was used to study the economic management model of enterprises. This paper first introduced the enterprise economic management model, including the definition, characteristics and shortcomings of the enterprise economic management model. The performance evaluation methods of enterprise economic management were introduced, including the clarity of performance evaluation objectives, the optimization of performance evaluation means and the feedback of performance evaluation results. Finally, the fuzzy logic algorithm was used to evaluate the performance of enterprise economic management, and the indicators and performance evaluation model of enterprise economic management were established. In the experimental part, the fuzzy logic algorithm was used to evaluate the economic management of four enterprises. The experimental results showed that Enterprise A had the highest ability to evaluate the economic management of enterprises, and the comprehensive evaluation result of economic management was above 0.9, so it had a very high enterprise economic management ability. This manuscript aims to increase the utilization of solar energy, which is both environmentally friendly and easily accessible, to satisfy the energy needs of developing countries. In order to achieve this goal, maximum power generation should be provided from photovoltaic panels. Several maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods are utilized for maximum power generation in photovoltaic panel systems under different weather conditions. In this paper, a novel intelligent hybrid fuzzy logic-controlled maximum power point tracking algorithm founded on the perturb and observe (PO) algorithm is presented. The proposed fuzzy logic controller algorithm and the incremental conductivity maximum power point tracking algorithm were simulated in a MATLAB(2018b version)/Simulink environment and evaluated by comparing the results. Four Sharp ND-F4Q295 solar panels, two in series and two in parallel, were used for the simulation. In this study, the voltage ripple of the proposed hybrid method was measured at 1% compared to the classical incremental conductivity method, while it was 8.6% in the IncCon method. Similarly, the current ripple was 1.08% in the proposed hybrid FLC method, while the current ripple was 9.27% in the IncCon method. It is observed that the proposed smart method stabilizes the system voltage faster, at 25 ms, in the event of sudden weather changes.

Hybrid evolutionary algorithm based fuzzy logic controller for automatic generation control of power systems with governor dead band non-linearity

A new intelligent Automatic Generation Control (AGC) scheme based on Evolutionary algorithms (EAs) and fuzzy logic concept is developed for a multi-area power system. EAs i.e. Genetic algorithm-Simulated Annealing (GA-SA) are used to optimize the gains of fuzzy logic algorithm (FLA)-based AGC regulators for interconnected power systems. The multi-area power system model has three different types of plants i.e. reheat, non-reheat and hydro, and are interconnected via Extra High Voltage Alternate Current transmission links. The dynamic model of the system is developed considering one of the most important Governor Dead Band (GDB) non-linearity. The designed AGC regulators are implemented in the wake of 1% load perturbation in one of the control areas and the dynamic response plots are obtained for various system states. The investigations carried out in the study reveal that the system dynamic performance with hybrid GA-SA-tuned fuzzy technique (GASATF)-based AGC controller is appreciably superior as compared to that of integral and FLA-based AGC controllers. It is also observed that the incorporation of GDB non-linearity in the system dynamic model has resulted in degraded system dynamic performance.

In a DC microgrid, virtual capacitor droop control (CDC) can achieve power allocation according to different frequency characteristics of a hybrid energy storage system (HESS). However, the control performance may be easily affected by the line impedance. In this paper, an adaptive droop controller based on a fuzzy logic algorithm is proposed. By detecting the unbalanced power and the voltage deviation, the droop coefficient can be adaptively adjusted to mitigate the influence of the line impedance and achieve desirable power splitting in the HESS. Furthermore, the small-signal model of the HESS is established and the impact of the droop coefficient variation on the stability of the DC microgrid is exploited. The simulation results in PSCAD/EMTDC verify the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive droop controller. It has been proved that desirable power splitting can be obtained among multiple HESSs under different scenarios.

Implementation of fuzzy logic Scheme for Assessment of Power Transformer Oil Deterioration Using Imprecise Information

This research aims to analyze the implementation of a fuzzy logic-based approach in improving the diagnosis of power transformer oil deterioration, which is critical for maintaining the efficient performance and operational life of transformers. Traditional diagnoses are based on strict measurements that do not account for the factors of variability and uncertainty of the actual data. In this article, we perform six different types of tests in this regard, and data have been collected during the period of 2021 to 2022 of 188 power transformer failures in the New KotLakhpat Lahore unit, whose voltage range is 132/66 kv and rating capacity is 40/50 MVA. In this case, a fuzzy logic-based scheme is developed based upon the membership function, a rule-based and defuzzification method that works with imprecision and the implementation of uncertainty in assessing the condition of transformer oils. Moisture, acidity, and a dissolved gas analysis indicator, along with other indication approaches such as interfacial tension, viscosity, and tangent delta measurement, are used to analyze the deterioration process in transformer oils. In the visual representation, oil samples with the following properties were first fuzzified: 19.9 mm2/s of viscosity, 0.453 mgKOH/g of acidity, 695 ppm of DGA, 20.8 mg/kg of moisture, 19.98 of IFT, and 4.35 x 100.14 of tangent delta. The output that was generated by software using the values entered into the parameters (HI and Age) after defuzzification is 45. fuzzy logic serves as a concrete framework for transforming the diagnostics system and deterring the threats to the entire transformer's health and reliability in the future. By using this technique, various faults were hypothetically and practically analyzed in a transformer to implement early detection technologies with the possibility to reduce maintenance costs and extend operational life up to 45 years. A novel fuzzy logic-based image steganography method to ensure medical data security

This study aims to secure medical data by combining them into one file format using steganographic methods. The electroencephalogram (EEG) is selected as hidden data, and magnetic resonance (MR) images are also used as the cover image. In addition to the EEG, the message is composed of the doctor's comments and patient information in the file header of images. Two new image steganography methods that are based on fuzzy-logic and similarity are proposed to select the non-sequential least significant bits (LSB) of image pixels. The similarity values of the gray levels in the pixels are used to hide the message. The message is secured to prevent attacks by using lossless compression and symmetric encryption algorithms. The performance of stego image quality is measured by mean square of error (MSE), peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity measure (SSIM), universal quality index (UQI), and correlation coefficient (R). According to the obtained result, the proposed method ensures the confidentiality of the patient information, and increases data repository and transmission capacity of both MR images and EEG signals. A proposal for off-grid photovoltaic systems with non-controllable loads using fuzzy logic

A fuzzy-logic based methodology is proposed and evaluated for energy management in off-grid installations with photovoltaic panels as the source of energy and a limited storage capacity in batteries. The decision on the connection or disconnection of components is based on fuzzy rules on the basis of the Photovoltaic Panel Generation measurement, the measured power required by the load, and the estimation of the stored energy in the batteries (this last is obtained from the estimation of the Depth-of-Discharge). The algorithm aims to ensure the system's autonomy by controlling the switches linking the system components with respect to a multi-objective management criterion developed from the requirements (supply of the load, protection of the battery, etc.). Detailed tests of the proposed system are carried out using data (irradiation, temperature, power consumption, etc.) measured in a household at the target area at several days of the year. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves the objectives of system autonomy, battery protection and power supply stability. Compared with a basic algorithm, the proposed algorithm is not sensitive to sudden changes in atmospheric parameters and avoids overcharging the battery. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
