Multi-level programming is characterized as mathematical programming to solve decentralized planning problems. We have considered a multi-level linear programming problem and applied fuzzy mathematical programming, (FMP) approach to obtain the solution of the system. We have suggested FMP method for the minimization of the objectives using linear membership functions. FMP is a supervised search procedure (supervised by the higher level decision maker (DM)). The higher level DM provides the preferred values of decision variables under his control (to enable the lower level DM to search for his optimum in a wider feasible space) and the bounds of his objective function (to direct the lower level DM to search for his solutions in the right direction). Any modern industrial manufacturing unit inevitably faces problems of vagueness in various aspects such as raw material availability, human resource availability, processing capability and constraints and limitations imposed by marketing department. Such a complex problem of vagueness and uncertainty can be handled by the theory of fuzzy linear programming. In this paper, a new fuzzy linear programming based methodology using a modified S-curve membership function is used to solve fuzzy mix product selection problem in Industrial Engineering. Profits and satisfactory level have been computed using fuzzy programming approach. In this paper, we consider the multi-product newsboy problem with fuzzy demands under budget constraint. Since the demands of products are often fuzzy in real life, the profit of the newsboy is fuzzy too. We develop three types of models under different criteria: EVM model, DCP model and CCP model. In these models, the objective functions are to maximize the expected profit of newsboy, the chance of achieving a target profit and the profit which satisfies some chance constraints with at least some given confidence level, respectively. Furthermore, the hybrid intelligent algorithm based on genetic algorithm and fuzzy simulation is designed for these models. This paper presents multiobjective flow network problem using fuzzy programming technique, which is useful for the planning, modeling and designing of flow network problems like communication networks, oil pipeline systems and power systems. Many authors have treated flow network problem with a single objective function. Practically, this is multiobjective (e.q., capacity, time, cost) problem. The multiobjective flow network problem is transformed to a single objective linear programming problem through a fuzzy membership function and the problem is solved by linear programming algorithm. Vehicle routing problems (VRP) arise in many real-life applications within transportation and logistics. This paper considers vehicle routing models with fuzzy travel times and its hybrid intelligent algorithm. Two new types of credibility programming models including fuzzy chance-constrained programming and fuzzy chance-constrained goal programming are presented to model fuzzy VRP. A hybrid intelligent algorithm based on fuzzy simulation and genetic algorithm is designed to solve the proposed fuzzy VRP models. Moreover, some numerical experiments are provided to demonstrate the applications of the models and the computational efficiency of the proposed approach.

Loading containership optimization mostly contributes to its turnover time and saving scare resources in terminal. A systemic fuzzy model was discussed, which includes loading container sequence determination, yard-crane allocation and container vehicle assignation. The model simulates fuzzy aspects of equipment handling and insures quay-crane usage at given possibility. Its objective is to minimize the sum of handling cost defined. An improved Genetic Algorithm was proposed. Numerical experiments show that the model is competent for practical simulation and the algorithm gains stable and preferable optimization result.
