Its solving methods have attracted many attentions. In this paper we present a new approach, based on the genetic algorithm, for dealing with a programming problem with fuzzy-valued objective function and constraints. Firstly, we propose the concept of generalized equilibrium value of fuzzy number, and analyze the properties, further give the operation rules;secondly, we establish a generalized equilibrium value-based fuzzy programming method combined with genetic algorithm;finally, we analyze the characteristic of the above mentioned method through a non-linear fuzzy programming problems.

In this paper, by analyzing the essential characteristic of fuzzy programming and the deficiencies of the existing methods, we propose the concept of synthesizing effect function for processing the objective function and constraints, and give an axiomatic system for synthesizing effect function. Then, we establish a general fuzzy programming solution model based on synthesizing effect function (denoted by BSE-FGM, for short), and give the concrete application demonstration. Finally, we analyze the model through an example. All the results indicate that our method not only includes the existing fuzzy programming methods, has better structural feature, but also can, effectively merge the decision preferences into the solution, so it can be widely used in many fields such as complicated system optimization and artificial intelligence.

An improved evolutionary programming algorithm is proposed for fuzzy programming problems. The idea is to mimic the physics of electromagnetism by considering each individual as an electrical charge. Charge of each individual is defined using membership functions. After calculating these charges, like the electromagnetic force, we calculate a combination force exerted on each individual. This combination force is regarded as the search direction of mutation operator. The fitness function is given by membership functions. A fuzzy model is developed for designing 3D trajectory of horizontal wells. The fuzzy model can be transformed to fuzzy programming problem and solved by our proposed method. The model is illustrated numerically and the results are efficiently.

We analyze the importance of practical aggregate production planning (APP) under uncertain environment and present a novel fuzzy programming resolution model based on the credibility measure of fuzzy event. The customers' demands, the unit profits and the available manufacturing capacities are all regarded as fuzzy variables;three types of common constraints are re-formulated as fuzzy chance constraints. Considering that the generalized fuzzy optimizing model is difficult to solve, we deduce an equivalent transformation technique on the assumption that the fuzzy variables obey trapezoidal distributions. In this way we convert these models into a equivalent crisp linear programming model which can be rapidly solved by the Simplex algorithm. Finally, we employ this approach on a real-world fuzzy APP problem in an automobile pressing company. The results demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed algorithm.

This paper presents multiobjective flow network problem using fuzzy programming technique, which is useful for the planning, modeling and designing of flow network problems like communication networks, oil pipeline systems and power systems. Many authors have treated flow network problem with a single objective function. Practically, this is multiobjective (e.q., capacity, time, cost) problem. The multiobjective flow network problem is transformed to a single objective linear programming problem through a fuzzy membership function and the problem is solved by linear programming algorithm. In the field of civil aviation, MRO market has a strong seasonal characteristic. Combined with research on continuous airworthiness of the aircraft, the spare parts order procedure and flight planning process, and analysis on fuzzy demand and fuzzy production capacity, the model of spare parts order with fuzzy reliability constraints is established. Under the background of actual civil aviation enterprises, spare parts quantitative order model and algorithm in spare parts planning decision system in non-deterministic environment are put forward. It applies the theories and methods of fuzzy mathematics and probability and statistics, building the target programming model for reconfigurable spare parts, to formulate optimal reconfigurable spare parts production plan. An increasing need to improve efficiency have been enforcing buyer companies to give more attention on their supplier. As one critical task within the company's supply chain management system, a proper supplier selection mechanism not only results in a more reliable and long term supplier-buyer partnership, but also provides opportunities to reduce various costs and realizes stable production. However, one of the main characteristic of supplier selection problem is that a fuzziness often adheres in the process of selection. In this paper, multi-objective-objective supplier selection problem is studied, and a grey fuzzy programming approach is developed to tackle uncertainty in decision maker's aspirations for fuzzy objectives, and in membership parameters of fuzzy objectives simultenously. In the formulated problem, uncertainty in the membership parameters is treated as interval grey numbers. A numerical example demonstrates our approach in providing a range of compromise solutions which impart more flexibility in supplier selection decisions.

Scenarios provide background for decision-making by clarifying possible paths of emerging technologies. Based on the analysis of three basic stages of empirical scenario construction, i.e. analysis phase, subsystem analysis phase and syntheses phase, credibility theory and fuzzy programming are introduced to dissolve scenario planning problems. This paper adopt such research road as (1) measurement of factors' credibility, (2) analysis of pairwise factors' compatibility, (3) eliminate incompatible scenarios through pruning rules, and (4) choice of scenarios through fuzzy programming. And then, the choice of scenarios can be conducted by expected value model. In the end, the further research fields are also discussed.

In a multi-state system, both the system and its components are allowed to experience more than two possible states, e.g. completely working, partially working or partially failed, and completely failed. In this paper reliability evaluation and reliability optimization of k-out-of-n systems are studied for the case where the components and the system have multiple performance levels. A recursive algorithm is used for reliability evaluation of multi-state k-out-of-n systems with independent components. Then a fuzzy model is presented for minimization total cost subject to reliability constraint. In the fuzzy model a fuzzy constraint is used for reliability that may we use different weights to constraint and objective function, and as a consequence the amount of importance of each objective function and reliability constraint can consider. Finally a numerical example is given.
