Combined with the simple flow control method and low discharge energy of all vanadium battery energy storage system, this paper proposes a flow control method based on fuzzy algorithm to improve the energy efficiency of all vanadium flow battery energy storage system. fuzzy controller which is applicable to the system is designed, charging and discharging power, SOC, frequency of the inverter are fuzzy modeling and optimal flow control strategy is produced by fuzzication, reasoning machine and defuzzification. The experiments show that flow control method based on fuzzy algorithm can effectively control the flow and improve discharge energy of all vanadium battery energy storage system.

A common UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)'s collision avoidance module was introduced in this paper to handle the flight safety of the UAV. Some ultrasonic sensors were used to collect the obstacle's distance and direction information in real time. The fuzzy algorithm was used to plan a new obstacle avoidance path based on the information. By taking over the control right of the flight controller and sending it the new movement commands, the module would allow the UAV to finish the obstacle avoidance task. During the process, any modification on the original codes of the flight controller was not needed. The MATLAB simulations and experiments verified the effectiveness of the common UAV's collision avoidance module.

A quadrotor is needed by geologists to do surveillance and monitoring in several disaster-prone areas. Therefore, quadrotors which are able to perform autonomous hovering in order to move from one location to another are required. Based on the problem, This paper presents the trajectory and altitude control for autonomous hovering of quadrotor by using fuzzy logic controller. This algorithm is applied to the altitude control that serves to control the quadrotor to hover at a specific position. It is also applied on the trajectory control so that the quadrotor will be able to move to x and y trajectories. The proposed algorithm shows that quadrotor can quickly hover at a predetermined height taking rise time in 1.5 second and settling time at 1.9 second. Furthermore, the quadrotor is able to move from the initial position to the next position with the rise time in 1.4 second and settling time at 2 second.

A self-healing system for a new type fiber optic smart structure based on fuzzy control algorithm

A self-healing system for fiber optic smart structure based on fuzzy control algorithm is presented. The system consists of light source, the liquid-core fiber optic smart structure, photoelectric detection circuit, A/D convertor, relay and micro controller. Light source contains communication light and repair light. The smart structure is made up of the composite embedded with the homemade liquid-core fiber. It plays a vital role in the system. The liquid is mix of oligomer, reactive diluent, photo initiator and auxiliary. Photoelectric detection circuit is used to convert the light signal into electrical signal. Micro-controller is responsible for collecting and processing photoelectric signal. The system software is designed using fuzzy inference algorithm to derive electromagnetic relay to control the switch between the communication light and repair light. Experiments are carried out by destroying the composite structures. The results show that the system is stable and reliable. It realizes the aim of damage self-repairing for composites.

The computer system is becoming more complex and massive network data, which brings great difficulties to the traditional intrusion detection system. Intrusion detection system is an important part of the network and information security architecture, which is mainly used to distinguish the normal activities of the system and the suspicious and intrusion patterns. But the challenge is how to effectively detect network intrusion behavior in order to reduce the false alarm rate and false negative rate. Based on the shortcomings of existing intrusion detection methods, the fuzzy C-means clustering method is proposed to analyze the intrusion detection data, so as to find out the abnormal network behavior patterns. By testing the CUP99 data set, the results show that the IFCA is not only feasible but also accurate and efficient. The improved fuzzy clustering algorithm proposed in this paper can improve the detection rate of intrusion detection and reduce the false detection rate, and can be widely used in intrusion detection system.

Virtual musculoskeletal control model with a spindle-like fuzzy algorithm for robotic compliance

Robot manipulators should comply with the environment when working with humans. However, compliance control is a difficult problem for robots and thus it was investigated in the present study. We propose a virtual musculoskeletal control model from the perspective of bionics to facilitate the compliance of the robotic manipulator. The musculoskeletal system of the human forearm is simplified as a closed-loop control system with three parts: the central nervous system, muscles, and spindle. A mathematical model is deduced and integrated with the dynamic model of the robot manipulator. The control model also comprises three parts: the first part compensates for the Coriolis force and gravity;the second part provides stiffness to regulate the deviation;and the third part imitates the feedback from the spindle to comply with the environment. A fuzzy controller is designed based on the muscle and spindle model to obtain spindle-like feedback. Our simulation results demonstrate that the spindle-like fuzzy algorithm can adapt to the environmental constraints by imitating the function of the neural muscular system. This virtual musculoskeletal methodology allows accurate path control, but it also ensures the compliance of the robotic manipulator. These characteristics are helpful for allowing robot manipulators to cooperate with humans. (C) 2014 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

At present, the power grid mainly classifies customers based on customer value, demand characteristics, credit rating, satisfaction, and other aspects to improve the service quality of electricity customers. The core of researching and establishing a value evaluation segmentation and value-added service system for power customers is accurate and efficient clustering algorithms. However, the lack of exploration of potential customer needs and analysis of demand value makes it impossible to further enhance the promotion ability of value-added products and better provide differentiated services to customers. The research results indicate that this article establishes a demand mining and demand value evaluation system, which effectively manages and scientifically analyzes the demand data of electricity customers. It can provide a basis for user demand information analysis and comprehensive analysis management, customer demand mining and demand value analysis, and make customer demand worth evaluating correctly. Liquid level as an important in the chemical industry and many other industrial production parameters, the measurement and control effect directly affects the quality of the product, so the liquid level control plays an important role in the industrial production. Because the liquid level of liquid level control system has nonlinear, big lag, outlet valve port mathematical model is difficult to accurately set up wait for a characteristic, the conventional incremental PID algorithm is difficult to obtain satisfactory control effect. To solve above problems, this paper designed the control using PLC, controlled by fuzzy controller, the form for the closed loop control system, in order to implement the constant of the liquid level. Simulation experiments show that the fuzzy PID control level, the system be able to complete the various automatic and manual pump start, stop, and no impact to switch, and fault alarm, a smooth transition.
