In this article, the author describes two ways that can be done during this coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis, namely through guidance and COUNSELING. The author freely translates that guidance as "God, You, and I Dance" and COUNSELING: as "Communicate yourself in God". In the middle of the COVID-19 crisis, this article offers new insights into the search for meaning and a long-term purpose in life.

Introduction In 2005, the International Patient Decision Aid Standards (IPDAS) collaboration identified guidance and decision coaching as important dimensions of patient decision aids (PtDAs) and developed a set of quality criteria. We sought to update definitions, theoretical rationale, and evidence for guidance and/or decision coaching used within or alongside PtDAs for the IPDAS update 2.0. Methods We conducted 2 scoping reviews on guidance and decision coaching, including systematic searches and a hand search of the Cochrane Review on PtDAs. Eligible studies were randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on guidance or decision coaching used with/alongside PtDAs. Data, including conceptual models, were summarized narratively and with meta-analyses when appropriate. Results Of 1022 citations, we found no RCTs that evaluated guidance in PtDAs. The 2013 definition for guidance was endorsed, and we made minimal changes to the description of guidance. Of 3039 citations, we identified 21 RCTs on decision coaching informed by 5 conceptual models stating that people exposed to decision coaching are more likely to progress in making informed decisions consistent with their values. Compared to usual care, decision coaching with PtDAs led to improved knowledge mean difference [MD], 19.5/100;95% confidence interval [CI], 10.0-29.0;5 RCTs). Compared to decision coaching alone, PtDAs led to a small improvement in knowledge (MD, 3.6/100;95% CI, 1.0-6.3;3 RCTs). There were variable effects on other outcomes. We simplified the decision coaching definition slightly and defined minimal decision coaching elements. Conclusion We found no evidence on which to propose changes in guidance in IPDAS. Decision coaching is continuing to be used alongside PtDAs, but there is inadequate evidence on the added effectiveness compared to PtDAs alone. The decision coaching definition was updated with minimal elements.

Benefit transfer is the use of pre-existing empirical estimates from one or more settings where research has been conducted previously to predict measures of economic value or related information for other settings. These transfers offer a feasible means to provide information on economic values when time, funding and other constraints impede the use of original valuation studies. The methods used for applied benefit transfers vary widely, however, and it is not always clear why certain procedures were applied or whether alternatives might have led to more credible estimates. Motivated by the importance of benefit transfers for decision-making and the lack of consensus guidance for applied practice, this article provides recommendations for the conduct of valid and reliable transfers, based on the insight from the combined body of benefit transfer research. The primary objectives are to: (a) advance and inform benefit-transfer applications that inform decision making, (b) encourage consensus over key dimensions of best practice for these applications, and (c) focus future research on areas requiring further advances. In doing so, we acknowledge the healthy tension that can exist between best practice as led by the academic literature and practical constraints of real-world applications.

Aims There is increasing evidence showing the importance of long-acting injectable antipsychotics in the management of schizophrenia, especially in terms of improving patient medication compliance. A panel of experienced clinicians in Hong Kong mapped out a set of consensus statements with an aim to facilitate the understanding and use of long-acting injectable antipsychotics among local physicians. Methods Eight discussion areas regarding long-acting injectable antipsychotics were selected by the chairman of the consensus group. A series of meetings were held for the panelists to discuss the published literature and their clinical experience, followed by the drafting of consensus statements. At the final meeting, each consensus statement was voted on anonymously by all members based on its practicability of recommendation in Hong Kong. Results A total of 12 consensus statements on the rational use of long-acting injectable antipsychotics were established and accepted by the consensus group. Conclusion The consensus statements aim to provide practical guidance for Hong Kong physicians on the use of long-acting injectable antipsychotics in schizophrenia patients. These statements may also serve as a reference for doctors in other parts of the Asia-Pacific region.

This paper proposed an innovative guidance strategy, denoted as NMPC-IM, which integrates the Insensitive Mechanism (IM) with Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC) for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) pursuit-evasion scenarios, with the aim of effectively intercepting maneuvering targets with consideration of input constraints while minimizing average energy expenditure. Firstly, the basic principle of IM is proposed, and it is transformed into an additional cost function in NMPC. Secondly, in order to estimate the states of maneuvering target, a fixed-time sliding mode disturbance observer is developed. Thirdly, the UAV's interception task is formulated into a comprehensive Quadratic Programming (QP) problem, and the NMPC-IM guidance strategy is presented, which is then improved by the adjustment of parameters and determination of maximum input. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, and the simulation results show that the NMPC-IM guidance strategy can decrease average energy expenditure by mitigating the impact of the target's maneuverability, optimizing the UAV's trajectory during the interception process.

Adventure tourism operators have historically drawn upon a range of broad, multi-purpose sustainability frameworks to provide experiences that are more ecologically and socially just. However, these efforts have been hindered by the need to interpret and translate large volumes of diverse sustainability guidance, which is often unclear or prohibitively complex in terms of how it can be applied to specific adventure operations. This paper aims to address this issue by (1) identifying the primary types of sustainability guidance available for adventure operators;(2) critiquing the benefits and limitations of each form of guidance;and (3) making recommendations for research and practice. The inquiry employed a systematized review methodology, informed by Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, to interrogate the various forms of sustainability guidance available to adventure tour operators. The analysis revealed three broad categories of guidance: Paid Memberships and Certifications, Guidelines and Frameworks, and Pledges and Declarations. The findings demonstrate how each of these categories brings distinct benefits and limitations to operators, depending on their size and scope of provision. Implications for practice are offered, in terms of how existing frameworks might be adopted and/or alternative approaches to integrating and monitoring sustainability initiatives developed. Suggestions for further research include examining adventure travellers' and operators' perceptions of the three different categories of guidance found in the current study, and the ways in which operators engage with this guidance.

Enhancing Visual Analytics (VA) systems with guidance, such as the automated provision of data-driven suggestions and answers to the user's task, is becoming increasingly important and common. However, how to design such systems remains a challenging task. We present a methodology to aid and structure design of guidance for enhancing VA solutions consisting of four steps: (S1) defining the target of analysis, (S2) identifying the user tasks, (S3) describing the guidance tasks, and (S4) placing guidance. In summary, our proposed methodology specifies a space of possible user tasks and maps them to the corresponding space of guidance tasks, using recent abstract task typologies for guidance and visualization. We exemplify methodology through two case studies from the literature: Overview, a system for exploring and labeling document collections aimed at journalists, and DoRIAH, a system for historical imagery analysis. We show how our methodology enriches existing VA solutions with guidance and provides a structured way to design guidance in complex VA scenarios.
