Genetic arithmetic operators in genetic algorithm be improved, and a hybrid genetic algorithm of a gradient algorithm combining with the genetic algorithm be given against to the defects such as premature, slow on convergence rate, weak in the ability of local search, all these appeared on the progress of genetic algorithm's iteration. Analysis result indicate that not only strong on the local search capacity of gradient algorithm be exhibited but also strong on the general search capacity of genetic algorithm be combined based on the hybrid genetic algorithm,which make phenomenon of premature avoid, and the rate of convergence be improved greatly. Concrete calculated example indicated that the hybrid genetic algorithm is an effective structural optimization method.

In this paper, the fast finite-time consensus tracking problems of the second-order leader-following multi-agent systems are investigated. First, an improved fast finite-time consensus tracking algorithm is presented that based on the gradient algorithm of the overall cost function. Second, we prove that the leader-following fast finite-time consensus can be achieved in finite time with the fixed and switching directed topologies. Finally, some simulation examples illustrate the superiority of the improved algorithm.

A type-2 fuzzy neural system (T2FNS) is proposed in this paper for process control. The structure of the system is presented and the rules for updating its parameters are derived using the gradient algorithm. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is evaluated on a laboratory setup that regulates the speed of a DC motor and the experimental results are compared with those obtained with the use of a type-1 fuzzy neural system (T1FNS). It is seen that T2FNS results in reduced oscillations around the set point in the presence of load disturbances.

The paper presents the results obtained by the authors during the research done on the efficient usage of photovoltaic panels and proposes performant numerical methods for the estimation of the maximum power point (MPP). The P(U) and P(I,U) models are computed for the BGSP - P225 solar panel model. For the first model, P(U), the paper proposes a polynomial interpolation search algorithm and for the P(I,U) model an optimal gradient algorithm, respectively. The performances obtained with these methods are evaluated and the main results are commented. The implementation of the search algorithms for the maximum power point is important for the computation of the set point given to the control systems, which control the photovoltaic panel, in order to obtain optimal photovoltaic generated power.

In this paper, a power amplifier (PA) optimization method based on multi-frequency load impedance is proposed. A broadband PA with Chebyshev low-pass structure operating from 2.5 GHz to 3.5 GHz is designed to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of this method. In this work, the proposed multi-frequency impedance matching method (MFIMM) is compared with the central frequency impedance matching method (CFIMM). With the same optimization algorithm, the gradient algorithm that embedded in advanced design system (ADS), the proposed multi-frequency technique shows superior performance in both optimization time and optimized PA results.

The paper presents a stochastic model predictive control (MPC) scheme for nonlinear continuous-time stochastic systems with chance constraints. The approach uses the unscented transformation to predict the mean and covariance of the nonlinear continuous-time dynamics. Special emphasis is put on integrating the resulting unscented MPC formulation within a real-time gradient algorithm by exploiting the structure of the optimality conditions. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated for an automotive emergency braking scenario with collision avoidance.

In order to solve the problems of slow tracking speed and low accuracy in vehicle mobile satellite communication system, a new step tracking algorithm based on the steepest descent method was proposed. This algorithm adjusted the tracking direction and step size by the steepest descent method, and set the proper threshold to stop tracking. The simulation results showed that the numbers of tracking were reduced to17 steps and tracking accuracy is improved.

Image fusion, as a research hot point nowadays in the field of infrared computer vision, has been developed utilizing different varieties of methods. Traditional image fusion algorithms are inclined to bring problems, such as data storage shortage and computational complexity increase, etc. Compressed sensing (CS) uses sparse sampling without knowing the priori knowledge and greatly reconstructs the image, which reduces the cost and complexity of image processing. In this paper, an advanced compressed sensing image fusion algorithm based on non-subsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) is proposed. NSCT provides better sparsity than the wavelet transform in image representation. Throughout the NSCT decomposition, the low-frequency and high-frequency coefficients can be obtained respectively. For the fusion processing of low-frequency coefficients of infrared and visible images, the adaptive regional energy weighting rule is utilized. Thus only the high-frequency coefficients are specially measured. Here we use sparse representation and random projection to obtain the required values of high-frequency coefficients, afterwards, the coefficients of each image block can be fused via the absolute maximum selection rule and/or the regional standard deviation rule. In the reconstruction of the compressive sampling results, a gradient-based iterative algorithm and the total variation (TV) method are employed to recover the high-frequency coefficients. Eventually, the fused image is recovered by inverse NSCT. Both the visual effects and the numerical computation results after experiments indicate that the presented approach achieves much higher quality of image fusion, accelerates the calculations, enhances various targets and extracts more useful information.

In this paper, a method is presented for on-line identification of systems with unknown time delay. This method is based on two parametric models of system that one of them is defined for transfer function parameters estimation and the other one is defined for delay value estimation. gradient algorithm is used for estimating transfer function parameters and a new algorithm is suggested for estimating delay value. The effectiveness of this method has been demonstrated through simulation. Also this method has been used for identifying laboratory CNC system parameters. The delay in this system is due to signal transmission between the CNC and the network.

Sub-pixel interpolation technique is a way that getting sub-pixel gray value by interpolation algorithm and then it is substituted into the correlation expression to calculate the sub-pixel position. It is a key way to improve the displacement measurement accuracy in Digital Speckle Correlation Method (DSCM), meanwhile, it is more time consuming than other steps. A new quarter sub-pixel registration method is proposed which can significantly cut down the sub-pixel searching time. On the premise of not reducing accuracy, an improved Taylor's series expansion in gradient algorithm is used to get higher registration speed. At the same time, a new cubic convolution interpolation method is proposed to get extremely high accuracy. These conclusions are proved by the results of the experimental system.
