This paper aims at the problem that hardware-In-The-loop (HITL) simulation still relies on the medium in flow industry and designs a new kind of HTIL simulation system, in which there is no medium and the controllers are software simulation. The paper which makes use of the simulation modeling theoretics, control and communication technology realizes this kind of system with the boiler of flow industry as the typical target. The practice results show this technology is feasible, completely satisfies practice request, and due to no-medium in the system, it not only debases costs of constitution and maintenance, but also has the characteristic of green and environmental protection.

simulation platform was designed and developed for an intelligent vehicle with camera, including the control algorithm simulation in Matlab, three-dimensional simulation based on Microsoft robotics developer studio(MRDS) and the hardware-in-the-loop simulation. The debugging efficiency was improved by transplanting the control algorithm developed in Matlab into the MRDS where the more realistic models and environment were used to debug control algorithm and analog tunable parameters. The hardware-in-the-loop simulation was realized by introducing the underlying hardware of intelligent vehicle model. According to the improved algorithm in MRDS, changed model parameters in Matlab. By downloading the underlying code and parameters obtained in real-time workshop to the intelligent vehicle model and running, the users can observe and record the running status and related parameters of the vehicle in the principal computer in real time, then the interactive debugging between software simulation and hardwaresimulation was realized.

An optical flow-based technique is proposed to estimate spacecraft angular velocity based on sequences of star-field images. It does not require star identification and can be thus used to also deliver angular rate information when attitude determination is not possible, as during platform de tumbling or slewing. Region-based optical flow calculation is carried out on successive star images preprocessed to remove background. Sensor calibration parameters, Poisson equation, and a least-squares method are then used to estimate the angular velocity vector components in the sensor rotating frame. A theoretical error budget is developed to estimate the expected angular rate accuracy as a function of camera parameters and star distribution in the field of view. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is tested by using star field scenes generated by a hardware-in-the-loop testing facility and acquired by a commercial-off-the shelf camera sensor. Simulated cases comprise rotations at different rates. Experimental results are presented which are consistent with theoretical estimates. In particular, very accurate angular velocity estimates are generated at lower slew rates, while in all cases the achievable accuracy in the estimation of the angular velocity component along boresight is about one order of magnitude worse than the other two components.

Aiming at vehicle yaw stability control, the method for estimating vehicle's side-slip angle is proposed by weighted state observer and immediate integration, also, a yaw stability controller is designed based on sliding mode control. The estimating method can be applied in vehicle's linear and nonlinear operating conditions and the sliding mode controller can realize vehicle's yaw stability control effectively. In order to analyze and verify control performance, sensor signals and drive signals of vehicle yaw stability control system are analyzed, furthermore, a method for designing rap id prototyping controller based on 16 bit single chip microcomputer, meanwhile, rapid prototyping controller's function and developing method are introduced and discussed. In hardware-in-the-loop simulation system based on high-precision vehicle dynamics model, the yaw stability controller is verified through rapid control prototype in various conditions. The results show that the controller can satisfy the requirements of yaw stability control and the rapid control prototype can be used for the rapid development of control strategy.

The power-split hybrid driving system can enhance the dynamic and fuel economy performances markedly by the corresponding of the power-coupling machine and the motors. The dual-mode hybrid system can augment the speed range by the mode shifting and it is suitable for the heavy and off-road vehicles. Based on the power flow and the restricting relation of the speed and torque, the energy management strategy for the dual-mode power-split hybrid driving system based on the optimal fuel economy of the engine is proposed. This strategy adjusts the engine operating state which can enhance the fuel economy by adjusting the speed and torque of the motors. And the power and the operating points of the engine, the batteries and the motors is ascertained by the strategy. The hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation platform for the hybrid driving system based on the dSPACE is developed and the HIL simulation of the energy management strategy is carried on. The test results indicate that the energy management and control is realized by this strategy and the fuel economy is enhanced by optimizing the engine operating points.
