this paper introduces a new compact intelligent algorithm for global optimization problems. The proposed algorithm is inspired from music improvisation. It is a variant of harmony search algorithm. It is called the compact harmony search algorithm (cHSA). It uses a compact representation to store the harmonies in the memory. The proposed intelligent algorithm is compared to the standard version of harmony search algorithm and the results shown that it is very efficient in terms of convergence uality, accuracy, stability and time processing. We give also an application of the algorithm for the realization of self-standing-up of the humanoid robot hydroid.

Automation of analog integrated circuit (IC) design process is very important because of the optimization contradictions. In this study, benefits of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms are presented on two stage operational amplifier design using harmony search algorithm (HSA) and Non-dominated Sorting Genetic algorithm (NSGA-II). HSA is a new kind of multi-objective evolutionary algorithm which was inspired from the musicians those are looking for the best combination of musical sounds of different instruments that produces most pleasing sound. NSGA-II is an advanced version of genetic algorithm. It combines both current parents and their child population to select new parents. These kinds of design automation tools are required for analog circuit design because there are several contradictions in the design. In this work, transistor sizes which effects all constraints indirectly were automatically synthesized by HSA an NSGA-II.

At supply chain development model problem of small and micro tourist enterprise at big data era, supply chain design method of small and micro tourist enterprise based on dynamic guidance and multi-objective harmony search algorithm is put forward. Firstly, construct multi-objective optimization model of supply chain of small and micro tourist enterprise based on the objective of minimizing the total cost and maximizing satisfaction of logistics demand node enterprise;secondly, bring in harmony search algorithm, construct new fitness function on the basis of α dominance relation and realize performance improvement of optimization process;finally, display that the proposed method has relatively high optimization accuracy in supply chain design of small and micro tourist enterprise through simulative example with more reasonable design process and it is significant to improve competitiveness of small and micro tourist enterprise.

The Smart Grid(SG) has widely supported the electric power from the Distributed Generation(DG). It becomes a practical standard to generate the electric power from a renewable energy into the distribution system to compensate for the power demand, especially in the peak time. However, the advancement of the SG continuing with the classical problem of active power loss as the traditional grid. This research aimsto solve the active power loss problem by analyzing the elements and study to solve, in the scope of the organization that provides the electrical power. In order to solve the problem, the solutions can be achieved by feeder routing with adjusting cost Dijkstra's algorithm, afterward decided the allocation and sizing of DG by using the Evolutionary Computing(EC) which are harmonysearch(HS), Artificial Bee Colony(ABC), and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) algorithms. The experiment evaluates the performance of the algorithm usingpower flow analysis, Backward/Forward Sweep Method, on the IEEE 33-bus system. From the experimental result, the PSO provides the best performance. The overall active power loss in the case 3 DGs was reduced from 202.67 to 52.29 k W, representing 74.20%reduction.

Furnace temperature influencing factors are complicated in regenerative aluminum smelting furnace. Traditional modeling ways of neutral networks are complex and their generalization abilities are poor. Therefore, this paper used the method of Kernel Principal Component Analysis (KPCA) to extract the main components of networks inputs. KPCA can reduce the relevance of inputs and simplify network structure. The improved extreme learning machine (ELM) is adapted as the prediction model of furnace temperature. ELM improved by harmony search algorithm (HS) can effectively enhance the performance of ELM. In the end, the furnace temperature prediction model was established by KPCA-HS-ELM were compared with the model were established by BP, ELM and HS-ELM. Results show that the prediction model of furnace temperature based on KPCA-HS-ELM has better prediction ability and higher generalization ability. The KPCA-HS-ELM model can provide reference for furnace temperature control.

Power allocation is an important research topic of communication research. In view of the shortcomings of the current power allocation methods in communication networks, such as poor fairness, communication interruption and low frequency, a new power allocation method based on harmony search algorithm is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the current research on power allocation in communication is advanced. The mathematical model of communication power allocation is established by line analysis. Then the mathematical model of communication power allocation is solved by harmony search algorithm. Finally, the simulation experiment of communication power allocation is carried out. The experimental results show that under the condition of high SNR, the harmony search algorithm can quickly find the communication power allocation scheme, improve the communication capacity, and greatly reduce the frequency of communication interruption.

One major problem in the area of wireless sensor networks is the coverage problem. The coverage problem deals with the ability of the network to cover a certain area or some certain events. In this paper, we focus on the area coverage problem. We propose SRAHS, a sensing radius adjusting protocol, to deal with the problem of area coverage. In this protocol, proper sensing radius can be determined using the harmony search algorithm. Due to the proposed protocol accuracy in adjusting the nodes sensing radius, it is able to provide the full coverage in less densities. Moreover, as the result of increasing nodes density, the proposed protocol decreases both the nodes sensing radius and the energy consumption. We have simulated our protocol and simulation results show high efficiency of the proposed protocol
