Pole determination of X(3960)and X_(0)(4140) in the decay B^(+)→D_(s)^(+)D_(s)^(−)K^(+)

Two near-threshold peaking structures with spin-parities of J^(PC)=0^(++)were recently discovered by the LHCb Collaboration in the invariant mass distribution of the decay process B^(+)→D_(s)^(+)D_(s)^(-)K^(+).In our study,we employed a coupled-channel model to fit the experimental results published by the LHCb Collaboration,simultaneously fitting the model to the invariant mass distributions of,MD_(s)+D_(s)^(-),M_(D)_(S)^(+)K^(+)*** utilized a coupled-channel model to search for the poles of *** determination of the poles is meaningful in itself,and it also lays a foundation for future research on *** turning off the coupled-channel and performing another fit,we observed a change in the fitting quality,and the effect was almost entirely due to the peak ***,we suggest that may not be a kinematic effect.

X and Zcs in B+→J/ψϕK+ as s-wave threshold cusps and alternative spin-parity assignments to X(4274) and X(4500)

Recent LHCb amplitude analysis on B+→J/ψϕK+ suggests the existence of exotic X and Zcs hadrons, based on an assumption that Breit-Wigner resonances describe all the peak structures. However, all the peaks and also dips in the spectra are located at relevant meson-meson thresholds where threshold kinematical cusps might cause such structures. This points to the importance of an independent amplitude analysis with due consideration of the kinematical effects, and this is what we do in this work. Our model fits well J/ψϕ, J/ψK+, and K+ϕ invariant mass distributions simultaneously, demonstrating that all the X, Zcs, and dip structures can be well described with the ordinary s-wave threshold cusps. Spin-parity of the X(4274) and X(4500) structures are respectively 0− and 1− from our model, as opposed to 1+ and 0+ from the LHCb model. With all relevant threshold cusps considered, the number of fitting parameters seems to be significantly reduced. The LHCb data requires Ds(*)D¯* scattering lengths in our model to be consistent with zero, disfavoring Ds(*)D¯* molecule interpretations of Zcs(4000) and Zcs(4220) and, via the SU(3) relation, being consistent with previous lattice QCD results.

Systematic investigation of α- and cluster-decay modes in superheavy nuclei

We systematically investigate the α-decay and spontaneous fission (SF) half-lives of superheavy nuclei (SHN) Z=124 and 126 in the mass number range 292≤A≤314. The α-decay half-lives (log10T1/2) have been calculated within the double folding model (DFM), the universal decay law (UDL), the scaling law of Horoi, and the universal curve (UNIV) formula. To identify the mode of decay of these SHN, a competition between SF half-lives and α-decay half-lives has been performed. The study reveals that even-mass number isotopes of 124292–314 and 126292–314 will survive fission, and α chains can also be predicted from these SHN. The variation of log10T1/2 against parent nucleus mass numbers of α-decay chains of each SHN isotope is found to be governed by the presence of magic or semimagic nucleon numbers of the parent nucleus in the sense that log10T1/2 becomes maximum at or near these numbers. The probable heavy cluster radioactivity (CR) in the mass number range Ac=18–126 from 124294–324 and 126294–312 is also studied using the same four models of α-decay half-lives. heavy clusters with charge numbers in the range 36≤Zc≤46 are dominant decay modes relative to α decay. Clusters with small logTc values relative to α decay are found to be the six clusters, Kr, Sr, Zr, Mo, Ru, and Pd. The most probable cluster emissions having the smallest logTc values relative to α decay are Mo104–106 and Ru106–110 from 124312; from 126296 the clusters are Mo94–96,Pd104–106; from 126298 the clusters are Zr90, Mo96; and from the SHN isotope 126300 the most probable clusters are Ru100–102. We found that the most probable cluster emissions occur when the proton and neutron numbers in the emitted clusters and their residual daughter nuclei are magic or near to the magic numbers.

Role of deformations and orientation effects in binary and ternary decay of the Cf252 nucleus

The phenomenon of spontaneous fission, which includes both binary and ternary decay modes, is observed within heavy and superheavy nuclei. Extensive efforts have been made to investigate the binary and ternary decay patterns exhibited by various nuclei belonging to the heavy-mass region. In this context, our study systematically examines the ground-state binary and ternary decay mechanisms of the Cf252 nucleus. To accomplish this, we have used the quantum mechanical fragmentation theory approach. It is known that the orientation angles of the decaying fragments play an important role in mass distribution. Therefore, in the present work probable orientation (both optimum and fixed) effects with deformations (up to quadrupole β2) of nuclei participating in the fragmentation process are taken into account. Further, the fission fragments for binary (A1+A2) and for ternary (A1+A2+A3) decay processes are identified by selecting channels of local minima in the fragmentation potential, with the third fragment A3 being He4 for the ternary fission. The inclusion of hot-compact/(90∘−90∘)/(0∘−90∘)/(90∘−0∘) orientations leads to the emergence of symmetric fission fragments, where shell effects are found to play the key role, whereas the cold-elongated/(0∘−0∘) leads to the participation of highly deformed nuclei with large mass asymmetry. In addition to this, two types of tripartition of the radioactive nucleus are considered: equatorial cluster tripartition and collinear cluster tripartition. Both configurations are studied by considering A3 = Mg30 and Ca48 as fixed fragments. The most probable fragments in the exit channel [Ni72(Z=28, N=44) + Sn132(Z= 50, N= 82)+Ca48(Z=20, N=28)] indicate that the deformations and the proton/neutron shell closure play a vital role in the spontaneous fission analysis of binary and ternary channels. Renormalization of beta decay at three loops and beyond

The anomalous dimension for heavy-heavy-light effective theory operators describing nuclear beta decay is computed through three-loop order in the static limit. The result at order Z2α3 corrects a previous result in the literature. An all-orders symmetry is shown to relate the anomalous dimensions at leading and subleading powers of Z at a given order of α. The first unknown coefficient for the anomalous dimension now appears at O(Z2α4).

Theoretical study of the B+→D−Ds+π+ reaction

Prompted by the recent discoveries of Tcs¯0(2900)++ in the Ds+π+ invariant mass distribution of B+→D−Ds+π+ process, we present a model that hopes to help us investigate the nature of Tcs¯0(2900)++ by reproducing the mass distribution of D−π+, Ds+π+, and D−Ds+ in B+→D−Ds+π+ decays. The structure of the triangular singularity peak generated from the χc1D*+K*+ loop near the D*+K*+ threshold is considered in our model may be the experimentally discovered resonancelike state structure Tcs¯0(2900)++. In addition, we employ a coupled-channel approach to describe the dominant contribution of the Dπ S-wave amplitude, and also consider other excitations. Our model provides a well fit to the invariant mass distributions of D−π+, Ds+π+, and D−Ds+ simultaneously.

Three-body unitary coupled-channel approach to radiative J/ψ decays and η(1405/1475)

Recent BESIII data on radiative J/ψ decays from ∼1010 J/ψ samples should significantly advance our understanding of the controversial nature of η(1405/1475). This motivates us to develop a three-body unitary coupled-channel model for radiative J/ψ decays to three-meson final states of any partial wave (JPC). Basic building blocks of the model are bare resonance states such as η(1405/1475) and f1(1420), and πK, KK¯, and πη two-body interactions that generate resonances such as K*(892), K0*(700), and a0(980). This model reasonably fits KSKSπ0 Dalitz plot pseudodata generated from the BESIII’s JPC=0−+ amplitude for J/ψ→γKSKSπ0. The experimental branching ratios of η(1405/1475)→ηππ and η(1405/1475)→γρ relative to that of η(1405/1475)→KK¯π are simultaneously fitted. Our 0−+ amplitude is analytically continued to find three poles, two of which correspond to η(1405) on different Riemann sheets of the K*K¯ channel, and the third one for η(1475). This is the first pole determination of η(1405/1475) and, furthermore, the first-ever pole determination from analyzing experimental Dalitz plot distributions with a manifestly three-body unitary coupled-channel framework. Process-dependent ηππ, γπ+π−, and πππ lineshapes of J/ψ→γ(0−+)→γ(ηππ), γ(γρ), and γ(πππ) are predicted, and are in reasonable agreement with data. A triangle singularity is shown to play a crucial role to cause the large isospin violation of J/ψ→γ(πππ).

QCD corrections to the Darwin coefficient in inclusive semileptonic B→Xuℓν¯ℓ decays

In this paper, we compute αs corrections to the matching coefficients of the dimension-six operators in the heavy quark expansion of the inclusive semileptonic heavy hadron decay rate and leptonic invariant mass spectrum with a massless quark and both a massive or massless lepton in the final state, analytically. The obtained results can be applied to the inclusive semileptonic B→Xuℓν¯ℓ (ℓ=e, μ, τ) and D→Xℓν¯ℓ (ℓ=e, μ) decays. The main application of our results is the background subtraction of the B→Xuℓν¯ℓ decay in the measurement of the B→Xcℓν¯ℓ decay, which is important for the precise extraction of Vcb and R(D(*)). They also play a role in the computation of lifetimes of heavy hadrons.

Three-body unitary coupled-channel analysis on η(1405/1475)

The recent BESIII data on J/ψ→γ(KSKSπ0), which is significantly more precise than earlier η(1405/1475)-related data, enables quantitative discussions on η(1405/1475) at the previously unreachable level. We conduct a three-body unitary coupled-channel analysis of experimental Monte Carlo outputs for radiative J/ψ decays via η(1405/1475): KSKSπ0 Dalitz plot distributions from the BESIII, and branching ratios of γ(ηπ+π−) and γ(γπ+π−) final states relative to that of γ(KK¯π). Our model systematically considers (multi)loop diagrams and an associated triangle singularity, which is critical for making excellent predictions on η(1405/1475)→πππ line shapes and branching ratios. The η(1405/1475) pole locations are revealed for the first time. Two poles for η(1405) are found on different Riemann sheets of the K*K¯ channel, while one pole is found for η(1475). The η(1405/1475) states are described by two bare states dressed with continuum states. The lower bare state would be an excited η′, while the higher one could be an excited η(′), hybrid, glueball, or a mixture of these. This work presents the first-ever pole determination based on a manifestly three-body unitary coupled-channel framework applied to experimental three-body final state distributions (Dalitz plots).

Cluster radioactivity preformation probability of trans-lead nuclei in the NpNn scheme

In the present work, the cluster radioactivity preformation probability Pc in the scheme of NpNn for the effective number of the valence particles (holes) in trans-lead nuclei has been systematically investigated. This quantity has been explored in the simplified parametrization of NpNn as well as the multiplication NpNnI of this product with the isospin asymmetry I. The calculations for Pc are both performed in microscopic and model-dependent way. Within the microscopic approach, based on our previous work [Chin. Phys. C 47, 014101 (2023)], Pc is calculated in cluster formation model combined with the exponential relationship of Pc to the α decay preformation probability Pα when the mass number of the emitted cluster Ac≤ 28. While Ac≥ 28, Pc is obtained through the charge-number dependence of Pc on the decay products proposed by Ren et al. [Phys. Rev. C 70, 034304 (2004)]. In the model-dependent approach, Pc is extracted through the ratios from calculated cluster radioactivity half-lives in the framework of unified fission model proposed by Dong et al. [Eur. Phys. J. A 41, 197 (2009)] to experimental ones. Both of the results show Pc in logarithmic form are linear to NpNn as well as NpNnI. For comparison, the parent-mass-number dependence analytical formula as well as the model proposed by Wei and Zhang [Phys. Rev. C 96, 021601(R) (2017)] are also used. Furthermore, the preformation mechanic for cluster radioactivity has also been discussed.
