The main objective of this paper by using image processing algorithms, mainly hough algorithm, to develop a system which is able to analyze, process and put in evidence all the necessary features of a CT image for diagnosing pulmonary fibrosis. To approach the presented topic, image processing algorithms, image filtering, together with the Matlab work environment were combined and the optimal solution was finally implemented. The main idea behind the method is to identify two types of lines of the CT image which gives to the specialist the correct diagnostic by interpreting the obtained results. As final results, the chosen solution incorporates some crucial steps which have to be done in order to obtain the desired processed image with all the important details visible. The final solution was tested on different CT images and the medical specialist used it for detecting this type of disease, the detection being very easily mistaken.

Due to the limited sensing ability with the single-view camera and the real-time requirement for multi-view scenarios or deep learning-based methods in complex scenes, the output of lane detection is not applicable for the actual lane departure warning system. To tackle this challenge, the authors propose a fast and robust approach for lane detection based on well-designed multi-camera fusion, integrating vanishing point estimation, and specified feature fitting strategies. To meet real-time demand, several simple but effective image processing means are introduced and improved. Concretely, on account of statistical information, the authors' method carries out an improved region of interest selection to speed up the detection. Afterwards, they used the B-spline fitting lane line on the strength of the RANdom SAmple consensus algorithm for the front view image detection and improved the hough algorithm for the two rear-view images correspondingly. Using coordinate conversion and self-designed fusion strategy, they get the robust lane information based on symmetrical lane detection from the left/right sides of both front and side views. Experimental results in newly introduced multi-camera scenarios show that their multi-camera fusion framework contributes to significant improvement in accuracy and robustness in comparison with traditional methods.

Existing eye control systems either are expensive or have high computational complexity, difficulties in realising and low detection rate. We propose an integrated and novel Helmet-Mounted Display (HMD) using macro infrared eye gaze tracking and spot detection algorithm that can help the limb-disabled people with healthy eyes. Clear black and white images of the pupil can be obtained by a micro-focus camera system and pre-processing software. We discuss pupil and spot detection method based on the improved hough algorithm, and the black and white image of the pupil location algorithm, tracking pupil movement by eye tracking. Furthermore, integration of the improved hough algorithm can reduce the HMD micro-positioning. Experimental results show that the proposed system has a higher accuracy than the existing methods.

At present, digital documentation recorded in the form of raster or vector files is the obligatory way of inventorying historical objects. The orthoimage is a cartometric form of photographic presentation of information in the two-dimensional reference system. The paper will discuss the issue of automation of the orthoimage generation basing on the TLS data and digital images. At present attempts are made to apply modern technologies not only for the needs of surveys, but also during the data processing. This paper will present attempts aiming at utilisation of appropriate algorithms and the author's application for automatic generation of the projection plane, for the needs of acquisition of intensity orthoimages from the TLS data. Such planes are defined manually in the majority of popular TLS data processing applications. A separate issue related to the RGB image generation is the orientation of digital images in relation to scans. It is important, in particular in such cases when scans and photographs are not taken simultaneously. This paper will present experiments concerning the utilisation of the SIFT algorithm for automatic matching of intensity orthoimages of the intensity and digital (RGB) photographs. Satisfactory results of the process of automation, as well as in relation to the quality of resulting orthoimages have been obtained.
