Hybrid image analysis model for hashtag recommendation through the use of deep learning methods

Content tags of a given image are the basic mechanism used in social networking services. One of the most commonly used websites like Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter is the hashtag. In this paper, we propose a hybrid solution for automatic image description extraction. A network architecture consists of a module for removing main objects from the image for additional classification of other elements on the background via U-NET (neural model designed for segmentation). Obtained images are classified by multi-branch convolutional networks. The results of such a classification are used to describe the probability of belonging to particular classes. Then, the probability of belonging to each class is used to find related linguistic values through the Skip-Gram module. The main advantage of the solution is the possibility of extending the network with additional branches to increase the number of main classes of objects. The proposal was analyzed through the object's classification, the use of learning transfer, and image description on two datasets, i.e. Animals-10 and HARRISON16. Experimental results show that the proposal is a very flexible solution for extending the model to other classes without the need to overtrain the entire architecture and reach higher classification accuracy than other models for social networking services.

The framebuffer image processing technology can conveniently manipulate the LCD panel and gain flicker-free screen updates. At the same time,it gives great convenience for the upper layer application development. In view of this, this paper has two values :(1)proposing an practicable image processing system based on the framebuffer.(2)implementing every module function on the Mini2440 development board.

Energy dissipation evaluation for stepped spillway using a fuzzy inference system

In this study, to evaluate the effects of geometry parameters on the dissipation rate in flows over the stepped spillways, a numerical model is provided and validated by using a physical model. A type of Fuzzy Inference system (FIS) is used to study the control of the rates of dissipation. It is used to measure the estimated energy dissipation under different scenarios, and the results are compared with prepared numerical database. An error criterion is used to examine the prediction accuracy of the FIS measurements. The realization of these kinds of considerations may, in turn, lead to a remarkable reduction in the dimensions of stilling basins. The results indicate that proposed FIS can be used as a valuable tool for operational control of dissipater structures with consideration of different geometric parameters. The method is proposed somehow to consider the uncertainty problems with consideration of the benefits, and some shortcomings noted in the literature.

Forest vegetation is the main body that constitutes forest resources. Accurate identification of the types of forest trees can lay the foundation for the research and utilization of forest resources. With the development of remote sensing technology, traditional optical remote sensing can only describe the horizontal pattern of ground features, which makes it difficult to identify single tree species. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the method of forest tree image recognition. This article mainly studies the forest image recognition system based on CCD and theodolite. In this article, the forest image recognition system based on CCD and theodolite uses near, middle, and far CCD cameras to detect the infrared radiation of the target and collect the target image. The image processing algorithm is designed for the image processing module, and the flow chart of the image processing algorithm is given. The processing function has designed the interface of the image processing module. The image processing module can extract the main information of the target from simple background and complex background. In this article, an experimental optical path is built, the forest image recognition simulation platform is verified, and the data obtained from the experiment is processed. The implemented color detection algorithm can achieve a detection accuracy rate of more than 91% for forest tree image recognition detection. The test results show that the image acquisition, transmission and display functions of the camera system realized by this subject are normal, and the system can achieve accurate recognition of the target.

Medicine is a perspective area for collaborative robotics. The paper presents the collaborative robot as a surgeon's assistant, accompanying the operation, submitting the necessary tools and performing other auxiliary actions. Such a robot must be mobile, have a manipulator, means of visual communication, an autonomous navigation system in the operating room, and an interactive system for interaction with the surgeon. The last task is considered in the paper. At the voice request of the surgeon, the robot have to find the necessary medical tool on the desktop and transmit it to the surgeon. This operation involves three steps: firstly, at the voice request, the robot must determine which tool is required by the surgeon;on the second step- to find the right tool on the desktop and take it;and on the third - to hand the tool to the surgeon. In the paper the neural networks technology is proposed to solve the recognition problems aroused at two first stages.

The aim of this research was to construct a semi-autonomous seeker robot in the form factor of a rover that inherits a degree of intelligence for aiding rescue operations through rubble. The developed robot would be able to crawl through the limited space available under debris and wreckages, providing real-time video feed of the situation along with night vision capability. By the means of an onboard positioning system incorporating beacons, the rover would be able to guide itself into and out of the wreckage site. In addition to that, with a carbon dioxide gas sensor, a methane gas sensor and an image processing system working in tandem, the robot would have the capability to successfully detect dead bodies and potential survivors. With the aid of the locator system interfaced with a GUI, the location of the dead bodies and/or survivors can be tagged while their distances from the rescuers can be determined by the robot's operator. To ensure uninterrupted communication throughout, a custom wireless communication system was developed based on existing Wi-Fi repeater technology. The entire system was rigorously field-tested for accuracy and reliability.

The continuous advancements in programmable device technologies enable the widespread use of FPGAs in an increasing number of industrial applications. The availability of powerful software design tools is a fundamental requirement to take advantage of the many advanced and specialized resources included in the latest devices. Although such tools exist, they are still far from guarantee first-time-optimized designs in many applications. This paper analyzes the application of two state-of-the-art FPGA design methodologies to an image processing system. The experimental results presented demonstrate that there is still much room left for experienced designers to enhance system performance.

Compared to traditional SAR, high-resolution PolSAR not only can provide texture and geometry information, but also can provide polarimetric information, which have been used extensively for various surface features recognition. Traditional methods only based on images characteristics which don't apply to high-resolution PolSAR images interpretation, causing the algorithm redundancy and low recognition rate. However, human's image cognition system is an efficient and intelligent image processing system, which nothing can be comparable to in targets recognition. Based on human image cognition mechanism, a new method for features recognition in PolSAR images is proposed in this paper to overcome above shortcomings. The proposed method utilizes hierarchical cognition model to identify different features: the first layer is visual cognition, the second layer is logical cognition and the third layer is psychology cognition. image segmentation and visual sensitive features extraction and integration are applied in visual cognition to derive preliminary recognition results. Based on the results from first procedure, fuzzy logic theory and Neural Network Model are both utilized in logical cognition. Background characteristics are utilized to identify features precisely in psychology cognition. The whole cognitive procedure is under the guidance of a priori knowledge, which is represented in accordance with production rules. Experiments are conducted over the EMISAR L-band PolSAR data and the E-SAR L-band PolSAR data. The results show that the proposed method can effectively and precisely identify different features in PolSAR images.

This paper introduces a Distributed image processing system based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). SOA offers considerable flexibility in aligning IT functions and business processes and goals. Each phase in image processing system is viewed as a web service operated on the internet. The web service provides various functions of pre-processing, noise removal, segmentation and feature extraction. image processing defines algorithms to process 2D & 3D digital images for meaningful interpretation of image content. Each algorithm is implemented as a web service. Set of algorithms are implemented for each phase and the phases of image processing are linked dynamically. Hence, depending on user's requirement the web services are dynamically linked using Event Condition Action [ECA] paradigm. We proposed light reference architecture for exposing the image processing system as a web service on a public network by granting external consumers to access internal services.

A kind of real time image processing system for target recognition and track is discussed. The system adopts master-slave DSP embedded structure in hardware, combines general DSP with special image processing circuit, and video data collection is controlled by program. This real time image processing system is designed with the high speed DSP TMS320C6201 while FPGA for image pretreatment. This paper emphasizes on introduction of real time image processing system based on DSP from the view of hardware. Experiments have been done by the system and the results are satisfactory.
