A space grid method, based on image processing technology, was proposed to evaluate asphalt mixture segregation, which used the ratio of statistical data variance and its square of mathematical expectation to describe material uniformity by statistics of distribution of particles on space grid. Computer procedure was developed and some experiments are made. The results indicate that this method is simple and can be used to evaluate asphalt mixture uniformity quantitatively with a good adaptability.

The small or medium-sized airports are generally lack of airport surface movement detection equipment due to the insufficient financial budget in early and latter investigation of airport's constructions or facilities. The paper studied airfield surveillance in the small or medium-sized airports by image processing technology and also discuss diverse surveillance sources in large airport and RWSL one of most key components in A-SMGCS. The analysis include: physical installation of video sensors, range of surveillance coverage, the flowchart of processing, the algorithm for detecting and tracking the moving objects which is suitable for environment of airfield in airport, the projection method between video image coordinate and airfield plan coordinate and the evaluation index of image processing technology.

The classification of mango in Vietnam and the world is being carried out mainly by direct labor of farmers using time-consuming and less efficient observations or some non-specialized machines and results for productivity not high, high cost, sorting out different types of mangoes is relatively costly. World studies of mango classification according to color, size, volume and almost done in the laboratory but not yet applied in practice. The quality assessment of mango fruit has not been resolved. So it is necessary to study image processing techniques;collect and build a database of photos of some types of mangoes in Vietnam;studying mango quality approaches and techniques, examining mango surfaces that are deep, withered, porous, deformed mangoes, ripening on mango fruit;application of image processing technology, computer vision combined with artificial intelligence in the problem of mango classification or poor quality. The goal of the study is to create a system that can classify mangoes in terms of color, volume, size, shape and fruit density. The classification system using image processing incorporates artificial intelligence including the use of CCD cameras, C language programming, computer vision and artificial neural networks. The system uses the captured mango image, processing the split layer to determine the mass, volume and defect on the mango fruit surface. This article is about the development of an automatic mango classification system using image processing technology combining artificial intelligence to control and evaluate mango quality before packaging and exporting to the market.

In the field of basketball, the existing training concept is based on the simulated observation and personal experience of the coaches, and it is subject to subjective judgment of inadequacies. Using image technology to train athletes is mainly to help coaches make decisions and improve the strength of athletes through the identification and recognition of athletes' states and transfer characteristics. The purpose of this paper is to study the basketball pose motion feature extraction algorithm based on image processing technology. This paper firstly builds the basketball posture model, introduces the feature extraction and selection in basketball posture, analyzes the application of image processing algorithm in basketball posture movement feature extraction, and mainly uses filtering algorithm to denoise the moving image. The algorithm in this paper mainly selects the normalized data processing algorithm to perform data induction processing on the feature data extracted in this paper. Experiments show that after image processing technology, the recognition rate of motion features by BP neural network is the highest, and the average recognition rate reaches 96%, which can effectively recognize the motion features of basketball posture.

In the detection of dead pixels in the print head, this paper innovatively proposes a dead pixel detection algorithm based on image processing technology for the low efficiency of manual detection and high labor cost. Firstly, the ROI is extracted based on the maximum connected region. Secondly, the binarized image is preprocessed by morphological processing, and then the texture is extracted based on the periodic structural features of the image. The specific steps of texture extraction are as follows: Firstly, this paper locates the largest connected area and gains the row and column of the connected area according to the polynomial fit. Secondly, according to the up and down translation, a column of texture regions is obtained, and then other texture regions are obtained according to the left and right translation. In addition, the Canny operator is used to detect the edge of the image, getting an image with texture edges and dead pixels. Perform a close operation on the image to remove dead pixels, and then subtracted from the original image, the dead pixels in the print head can be detected. The experimental results show that the algorithm not only can accurately detect the dead pixels in the print head image, but also has low complexity and short processing time, which is good for engineering practicability.

An efficient algorithm for estimating the vehicle speed is presented in this study. The image processing technology is applied to estimate the vehicle speed in this algorithm. The major algorithm is to calculate the pixel number change rate of license plate area to estimate the vehicle speed. At first, the license plate area will be captured by using image processing technology. And then, the pixels of license plate can be obtained on real time. Based on the pixel change rate, the vehicle speed can be estimated easily. The advantage of the proposed method is that because it is a simple algorithm, so the computation is very efficient. Moreover, this system can save the vehicle images simultaneously, which can be used in traffic surveillance systems.

In this paper, a new vehicle distance detection technology based on image processing is proposed to solve the traditional ultrasonic vehicle distance detection errors, many blind areas and other problems. The binocular vision sensing system was used to collect real-time images in front of vehicles. The vehicle in front of the collected image is identified through template matching, and the parallax principle is used to calculate the vehicle distance after confirming the presence of the vehicle. Experimental results show that this method can detect the distance between different angles and different positions with high accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.
