Over the years, medical image tracking has gained considerable attention from both medical and research communities due to its widespread utility in a multitude of clinical applications, from functional assessment during diagnosis and therapy planning to structure tracking or image fusion during image-guided interventions. Despite the ever-increasing number of image tracking methods available, most still consist of independent implementations with specific target applications, lacking the versatility to deal with distinct end-goals without the need for methodological tailoring and/or exhaustive tuning of numerous parameters. With this in mind, we have developed the medical image tracking toolbox (MITT)-a software package designed to ease customization of image tracking solutions in the medical field. While its workflow principles make it suitable to work with 2-D or 3-D image sequences, its modules offer versatility to set up computationally efficient tracking solutions, even for users with limited programming skills. MITT is implemented in both C/C++ and MATLAB, including several variants of an object-based image tracking algorithm and allowing to track multiple types of objects (i.e., contours, multi-contours, surfaces, and multi-surfaces) with several customization features. In this paper, the tool-box is presented, its features discussed, and illustrative examples of its usage in the cardiology field provided, demonstrating its versatility, simplicity, and time efficiency.

Background: The Matlab software is a one of the most advanced development tool for application in engineering practice. From our point of view the most important is the image processing toolbox, offering many built-in functions, including mathematical morphology, and implementation of a many artificial neural networks as AI. It is very popular platform for creation of the specialized program for image analysis, also in pathology. Based on the latest version of Matlab Builder Java toolbox, it is possible to create the software, serving as a remote system for image analysis in pathology via internet communication. The internet platform can be realized based on Java Servlet Pages with Tomcat server as servlet container. Methods: In presented software implementation we propose remote image analysis realized by Matlab algorithms. These algorithms can be compiled to executable jar file with the help of Matlab Builder Java toolbox. The Matlab function must be declared with the set of input data, output structure with numerical results and Matlab web figure. Any function prepared in that manner can be used as a Java function in Java Servlet Pages (JSP). The graphical user interface providing the input data and displaying the results (also in graphical form) must be implemented in JSP. Additionally the data storage to database can be implemented within algorithm written in Matlab with the help of Matlab Database toolbox directly with the imageprocessing. The complete JSP page can be run by Tomcat server. Results: The proposed tool for remote image analysis was tested on the Computerized Analysis of Medical images (CAMI) software developed by author. The user provides image and case information (diagnosis, staining, image parameter etc.). When analysis is initialized, input data with image are sent to servlet on Tomcat. Present paper deals with developing an advanced digital imageprocessing tool for determination of size and number density of precipitates present in creep-exposed P92 steel. The image processing toolbox in MATLAB is usually employed for noise detection and removal, edge detection, cropping, histogram of the region of interest as well as size wise distribution of the desired objects from the micrograph. This tool helps in fast and accurate acquisition of information. In this investigation, creep testing has been carried out on two P92 steel specimens at a temperature of 650 degrees C and stress of 120 MPa till rupture. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to capture images of the specimen in as-tempered condition and in the near-rupture gage region after creep rupture. The developed software has been used to analyze the micrographs for quantification of precipitates in terms of area fraction, size, and number density. The use of edge detection technique in the developed software helps in avoiding human intervention during image thresholding, thereby increasing accuracy in precipitate sizing. Findings from this investigation have been used to evaluate the role of precipitation morphology for specimen failure due to creep especially in precipitate strengthened steel like P92 steel.

Spatial visualization is the ability of an individual to imagine an object mentally and understand its spatial orientation. There have been multiple works proving that spatial visualization skills can be improved with an appropriate training. Such training warrant a critical place in the undergraduate engineering curricula in many engineering schools as spatial skills are considered vital for students' success in the technical and design fields [1-4] Enhanced spatial skills help not only professionals in the engineering field but also everyone in the 21st century environment. Drawing sectional views requires mental manipulation and visual thinking. To enhance students spatial reasoning, one of the authors of this study, conducted a class in spatial visualization. The course-learning goal aimed at improving first-year engineering students' spatial reasoning through instruction on freehand drawings of sectional view. During the semester, two teaching assistants had to grade more than 500 assignments that consisted of sectional views of mechanical objects. This was a tedious and a time consuming task. Motivated by this experience, this paper proposes a software aiming at automating grading of students' sectional view drawings. The proposed software will also give live feedback to students while they are working on the drawings. This interactive tool aims to 1) improve the learning experience of first year students, with limited CAD knowledge, and 2) introduce a pedagogical tool that can enhance spatial visualization training.

The impartial of this paper is to spread the License Plate Recognition for the traffic light development of Myanmar. In this paper, image processing toolbox, controlling and take boxes were proposed to extract the numbers and characters from the input images. Our method consists of three steps. In the first step, the input license plate image is increased by doing some the action or noise modification. Then the features of the characters are extracted to overcome the sameness problems of the Myanmar characters. Finally, neural network is used for the character recognition. The experiments were carried out on the dissimilar Myanmar vehicle images and results showed the efficiency of 93% which was substantially applied for the license plate detection, letters and numbers extraction.

Tato práce se zabývá možnostmi vytvoření vhodného prostředí k ovládání a nastavení kamer. V první části jsou popsány základní možnosti připojení kamer a vysvětleny jednotlivé parametry kamer. V druhé části je ukázáno, jak je možno vytvořit aplikaci, kde bude možno spustit více kamer současně, a které umožní jednoduché nastavení parametrů v programu MATLAB a programu C++BUILDER s využitím knihoven OpenCV.
