To explore characteristic of a new system with fractional order and complex variables, based on Adomian decomposition method (ADM), its nonlinear dynamical behaviors are discussed by bifurcation diagram, Lyapunov exponent spectrum, spectral entropy (SE) complexity, and DSP implementation. It is found that, for each parameter and order, there exists a large interval to make the system remain a hyper-chaotic state, which illustrates that the hyper-chaotic sequence could be more random to be applied in imageencryption. Especially, a novel image encryption algorithm is proposed based on the fractional order hyper-chaotic complex system and Galois field (GF). The column cyclic shift is used to scrambling part, the GF(17) algorithm is to diffuse pixel value. The security performances of algorithm are also analyzed. Finally, experiment results indicate that the proposed algorithm not only can effectively encrypt image, but also has better security features. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

A novel digital imageencryption scheme based on Poker shuffling and fractional order hyperchaotic system is proposed. Poker intercrossing operation has nonlinearity and periodicity, and can form permutation group. Firstly, the plain image is transformed into block image, and each block is confused by Poker shuffling operation with key. Secondly, bit plane of every pixel in each block is confused. Lastly, the scrambled image is encrypted by fractional order hyperchaotic sequence. This encryption scheme provides a secure and efficient key stream, and guarantees a large key space. The experimental results and security analysis imply that the new encryption method has secure encryption effect and property of resisting common attacks.

A new image encryption algorithm by using a discrete fractional angular transform and Arnold transform in image bit planes is investigated. In the image encryption algorithm, the original image is encrypted by the Arnold transform in image bit planes firstly, and then the resulting image is encrypted by the discrete fractional angular transform further. The key of the image encryption algorithm includes the parameters of the Arnold transform and the order of the discrete fractional angular transform. It is shown that the proposed image encryption algorithm is of high security and strong enough to counteract some conventional image attack manners.

In this paper, we analyze the security of a recent image encryption algorithm based on an improper fractional-order chaotic system suggested by Zhao et al. The fatal flaw in the cryptosystem is that the keystream generated depends on neither the plain-image nor the cipher-image. Another main issue with this algorithm is using the same key (the last key in the keystream) in all encryption equations. Based on these points, it is easy to recover the plain-image and the keystream by applying chosen plaintext attack in only one plain-image. Both mathematical analysis and experimental results confirm the feasibility of this attack. As a result, the cryptosystem under study is not suitable for cryptography.

It describes an improved encryptionalgorithm of a three-dimensional image based on multiple chaotic systems. The algorithm uses a variety of chaotic encryption system to cut the image into three-dimensional matrix systems, in three-dimensional space do the image scrambling transformation, three-dimensional chaotic sequence output by multiple chaotic systems achieved three color pixel substitution transformation of the spatial color image. Finally, according to the theoretical analysis and simulation results it shows that the encryptionalgorithm with large key space, good confidentiality, and the pixel values of the encryptionimage has a random uniform distribution features and zero correlation of the neighboring pixel values, verifies the proposed scheme has high security.
