The paper addresses the nonlinear control design problem for a two tank system. Three crucial industrial parameters i.e. temperature, level and flow are used in this work. Mathematical modeling of the proposed two tank system is presented in this work and the proposed system is also implemented using Lab View. industrial parameters are controlled by Fuzzy PID controller which greatly improves the performance of the system. This system can be adopted by industries to improve their processes and it can also be used by academia for teaching purposes. This system provides real time simulation and hardware implementation which provide aid in learning for the graduate and undergraduate control students.

Factory Acceptance Testing should involve customer's experts and knowledge in defining, reading and validating tests, while keeping labor costs at moderate level. This involvement requires a testing approach, which hides implementation details and emphasizes domain terminology. Keyword driven testing is seen a viable test automation solution to reduce cost and enable customer involvement in acceptance testing. We propose an approach for adaptation of Keyword driven testing framework to IEC 61131-3 industrialprocesscontrol applications. It utilizes importing of application elements, presented with PLCopen XML, and transforming them to proxy objects to be used as variables in test code, with domain specific names. Benefits include simplification of test and keyword specifications and hiding of implementation details from testers.

Model-centric development is one of the hottest topics discussed in the software engineering field today. Combination of Model Driven Development and Model Driven Architecture can be extremely powerful for supporting the development cycle of the application. The use of these software methodologies within the industrial Automation field allows meeting the requirement of current automation applications, such as flexibility, reuse, optimization and time and cost reduction. This paper focuses on the validation phase of a previously proposed Model-based Integrated Development Environment for industrialprocess Measurement and controlsystems (IPMCS). In particular, the validation tests for the industrialcontrolsystem being designed are automatically generated from the application model. The tests are executed by the control co-simulation tool that closes the loop between the control model, running in the PLC environment, and the process model running in a simulation environment.

This paper proposes a plant-based formal approach to development of a kind of hybrid processcontrolsystems. A hierarchical model consisted of formal specifications of processing equipment, processed objects and their relations is given. Based on the model, requirement specification can be systematically captured, and the controller can be designed by initiation from analyzing and synthesizing the processed object flows. An industrial process control system is used to illustrate our model and methods. Duration Calculus, a real-time interval logic, is used to specify some characters of our model and development of control strategy.
