The construction process of large-scale spaces such as airport terminals is often carried out in several phases, so the environmental performance assessment and analysis of completed projects can provide effective reference information for new projects. On the other hand, the layout of large glass curtain walls and skylights in the check-in halls of terminals, while fully introducing natural light, also brings potential glare hazards, and therefore the influence of different design parameters on glare needs to be clarified. However, current research has not yet discussed in detail the prediction of glare performance of terminal buildings and its influencing factors. This study aims to develop a transfer learning strategy and a workflow for predicting glare performance in terminal buildings. The results have proved that the transfer learning strategy can help quickly predict the glare performance between projects with similar spatial characteristics with high accuracy, and the outcomes also help clarify the influencing factors of glare performance and provide designers or managers with support for performance prediction and optimization methods.

Recently, voltage variation and flicker events in a power system are concerned by both of utility and customers. Actually, these two events are always measured separately, but in a certain cases they can happen successively. Voltage variation may cause equipments dropout or failure and result in huge economic losses;while voltage flicker will interfere human vision. In order to discriminate voltage variation from flicker in real time, this paper propose a virtual instrumentation system to implement a integrated algorithm which can complete the measurements of both events. The simulation results illustrate that the proposed method can effectively differentiate between voltage variation and flicker;besides, the field tests also validate the capability of the virtual instrument.

Target tracking is an important application of wireless sensor networks. The networks' ability to locate and track an object is directed linked to the nodes' ability to locate themselves. Consequently, localization systems are essential for target tracking applications. In addition, sensor networks are often deployed in remote or hostile environments. Therefore, density control algorithms are used to increase network lifetime while maintaining its sensing capabilities. In this work, we analyze the impact of localization algorithms (RPE and DPE) and density control algorithms (GAF, A3 and OGDC) on target tracking applications. We adapt the density control algorithms to address the k-coverage problem. In addition, we analyze the impact of network density, residual integration with density control, and k-coverage on both target tracking accuracy and network lifetime. Our results show that DPE is a better choice for target tracking applications than RPE. Moreover, among the evaluated density control algorithms, OGDC is the best option among the three. Although the choice of the density control algorithm has little impact on the tracking precision, OGDC outperforms GAF and A3 in terms of tracking time.
