For improving the quality of software, it is necessary to take into account the information of the subject area at all stages of its development. The paper first time proposes the structure of an intelligent multi-agent system for improving the quality of software by taking into account the information of the subject area at all stages of its development, which: performs semantic parsing of real software documents to find the necessary elements of information of the subject area;forms appropriate real ontologies for each document;compares ideal and real ontologies;estimates the magnitudes of the subject area information losses for each software document.

In this paper, a distributed autonomous control system based on intelligent multi-agent system (IMAS) is proposed. The framework for IMAS composed of control and protection intelligent agents (CPIAs) is introduced. The detailed structure and protection schemes of CPIA are illustrated. A simple distribution network with DGs is built on the simulation platform of DIg SILENT. The simulations provide persuasive evidence that IMAS can efficiently and accurately locate and isolate the faults. It is evident that IMAS can react faster than traditional relay protection and promote the reliability of distribution network. Copyright (C) 2018 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

Refugee crisis has escalated into a leading crisis in recent years, including Europe since 2015 after the massive refugee and migrant sea arrivals in the Mediterranean. Therefore, its socio-economic and environmental impact requires complex decision making for the delivery of effective humanitarian aid operations. Refugee settlement and shelter is an operations sector where the application of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods seems appropriate. Additionally, the range of involved decision makers as well as their relationships can be addressed using a multi-agent system (MAS). Different decision making fuzzy methods have been proposed in the literature which can be used by the agents in order to address refugee siting. The purpose of this paper is to perform a comparative analysis of two such methods, namely, hierarchical fuzzy TOPSIS and fuzzy axiomatic design approach used in a MAS for refugee siting. The comparative study has been done by evaluating operating temporary sites in Greece and the obtained results reflect the current situation.

In this paper, a distributed autonomous control system based on intelligent multi-agent system (IMAS) is proposed. The refugee crisis resulted in a large influx of refugees in the Mediterranean since 2014. However, crises are inherently complex phenomena, whereas the ultimate goal of all involved actors is to provide humanitarian aid to the affected populations. The required supply chain management and logistics operations are characterized by complex decision making whereas coordination between involved actors is necessary for effective aid delivery. Therefore, distributed problem solving based on autonomous and interacting agent can be used as a decision support tool in this field. The purpose of this paper is to address the solution of the refugee settlement site planning problem with an intelligent multi-agent system (MAS) modeling method. In particular, intelligent agents use two well-known multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM), Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy axiomatic design approach with risk factors (RFAD), to rank alternative sites for refugee settlement siting. Up to authors' knowledge, this study is the first that utilizes MAS and MCDM approaches in a decision support system for refugee settlement planning in literature. The proposed method has been applied to evaluate four currently operating refugee accommodation sites in Greece. Obtained results have confirmed and reflected the current situation in these camp locations.

The smart grid is an unprecedented opportunity to shift the current energy industry into a new era of a modernized network where the power generation, transmission, and distribution are intelligently, responsively, and cooperatively managed through a bi-directional automation system. Although the domains of smart grid applications and technologies vary in functions and forms, they generally share common potentials such as intelligent energy curtailment, efficient integration of Demand Response, Distributed Renewable Generation, and Energy Storage. This paper presents a comprehensive review categorically on the recent advances and previous research developments of the smart grid paradigm over the last two decades. The main intent of the study is to provide an application-focused survey where every category and sub-category herein are thoroughly and independently investigated. The preamble of the paper highlights the concept and the structure of the smart grids. The work presented intensively and extensively reviews the recent advances on the energy data management in smart grids, pricing modalities in a modernized power grid, and the predominant components of the smart grid. The paper thoroughly enumerates the recent advances in the area of network reliability. On the other hand, the reliance on smart cities on advanced communication infrastructure promotes more concerns regarding data integrity. Therefore, the paper dedicates a sub-section to highlight the challenges and the state-of-the-art of cybersecurity. Furthermore, highlighting the emerging developments in the pricing mechanisms concludes the review.

Engineering asset management (EAM) is a broad discipline with distributed functions and services. When engineering assets are capital intensive, management requires specialized expertise for diagnosis, prognosis, maintenance and repairs. The current practice of EAM relies on self maintained experiential rules with coordinated collaboration and outsourcing for maintenance and repairs. In order to enhance the life long asset value and efficiency (from the stakeholder's viewpoint) and after sales service quality (from the asset provider's viewpoint), this research proposes a collaborative maintenance platform that integrates real time data collection with diagnostic and prognostic expertise. The collaborative system combines and delivers services among asset operation sites (the maintenance demanders), the service center (the intermediary coordinator), the system providers, the first tier maintenance collaborators, and the second and lower tier parts suppliers. multi-agent system technology is used to integrate different systems and databases. agents with autonomy and authority work to assist service providers and coordinate communications, negotiations, and maintenance decision support. Finally, game theory is used to design the decision models for strategic, tactical, and operational decision making during collaborative maintenance practices.

multi-agent system provides a distributed collaborative platform and characterizes the system dynamics. Ontologies represent the domain knowledge and can be used to support various processes within a multi-agent system. Ontologies are high expressive knowledge models and as such increase the expressiveness and intelligence of a system. We propose onto-agent methodology for design of ontology-based multi-agent systems, as the first methodology that unifies the different approaches of the existing ontology and multi-agent systems design methodologies. Onto-agent Methodology is composed of the two interconnected processes: ontology design process and multi-agent system design process. Each of the two design processes is composed of five steps. We discuss each of the steps separately and provide some illustrative examples.
