Linear block cipher and category based random opposition learning for secured electronic health record sharing

Medical application is growing at mode for expertise application and patient-oriented relevance. Establish the health documentation yet group impartial total issues related to security and privacy. Blockchain is employed with cryptocurrencies and also stores all types of data in a securitized manner for Electronic Health Records sharing systems. Machine Learning is one more flourishing region that specifically utilizes electronic healthcare relevance. Hence, blockchain and IPFS (interplanetary file system) are introduced to address the security and privacy issues. In this work, a Linear Feedback Shift Register with Category-based Random Opposition Learning (LFSR-CROL) employing IPFS is introduced to secure electronic health record sharing. The LFSR-CROL method is split into three parts. First, a Hyperledger-based Blockchain is employed to store and share the data with the raw healthcare dataset as input. The Markov Decision Proof of Authority is used to perform validation for secure data sharing. The encryption/decryption is performed with a Simon Linear Feedback Shift Register Block Cipher. Finally, Category-based Random Opposition is used to create an optimal key. In this way, data confidentiality and integrity are enhanced. Experimental evaluation is carried out using the U.S. Healthcare dataset with different factors. The results of the proposed LFSR-CROL method is achieved by improved confidentiality and integrity minimum data delivery time, and computational overhead when compared to state-of-art-of methods.

The advancement of Intelligent Transport systems (ITSs) and the internet of Vehicles (IoVs) introduces significant security challenges, particularly in ensuring secure communication between vehicles and vehicles (V2V), vehicles and Road Side Units (V2RSU). These vulnerabilities could potentially compromise the integrity of vehicular networks, making robust security measures essential. This paper aims to develop a secure communication framework for IoV environments that addresses these security concerns by enhancing authentication and encryption processes. The proposed approach combines the Ring-Based Degree Truncated Polynomial Cryptosystem (RNTPC) with a Blockchain framework incorporating an enhanced proof-of-authentication (BEPoAuth) consensus algorithm. The approach is initiated from the registration phase and managed by a Trusted Authority (TA), ensuring secure vehicle and RSU registration. Authentication is carried out in two ways: V2V authentication through vehicle signatures and V2RSU authentication via batch verification of cluster members. Group keys are generated using RNTPC for secure communication, and blockchain technology is integrated to secure transactions within the IoV environment. The proposed methodology is evaluated using various performance metrics, demonstrating a 15%-20% improvement in throughput compared to existing techniques such as Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT), Secure and Highly Efficient Blockchain PBFT Consensus Algorithm (SG-PBFT), credit-based PBFT consensus algorithm (CPBFT) and Geographic-PBFT (G-PBFT). The system also exhibited minimal computational and communication latency while enhancing V2V and V2RSU communication efficiency. The RNTPC-BEPoAuth framework offers a robust and secure solution for IoV communications, significantly outperforming existing methods in terms of throughput and efficiency. Every nation needs a better healthcare system and services for general people for digital medical records, which are available on a large scale. However, patients' health data is too sensitive to share and unsecured to store on centralised storage. However, it is required to ensure security and privacy with better storage and retrieval methods for PEHR (Patient Electronic Health Record). Blockchain allows for the secure and effective exchange of PEHR in a decentralised, tamper-proof manner and traceable distributed ledger that stores using Hyperledger Fabric (HLF) framework in encrypted form on the interplanetary file system (IPFS). The hyperledger caliper benchmark measures the blockchain network's performance concerning transaction throughput and latency. This paper discusses the performance evaluation of a Blockchain-Enabled Patient Centric Secure (BEPCS) and privacy preserved electronic health record on IPFS. It proposes a strategy that may increase throughput by 5-10% and decrease latency by 5-10% with better security and privacy.

Traditional online file management systems, such as Google Drive and OneDrive, provide convenient platforms for collaborative editing and sharing, but they come with inherent limitations. These systems often offer limited storage space and operate on centralized architectures, which pose significant privacy risks as user data is controlled by service providers. Additionally, many fail to comply with regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL) by not offering clear transparency over who accessed data, when, and for what purpose. To address these challenges, we propose a decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) file management framework that integrates IPFS and Hyperledger Fabric. This framework provides secure, personal storage spaces for individuals or organizations to store and share files. The P2P network enables distributed storage, while the Hyperledger Fabric network maintains a consistent blockchain ledger for tracking file-related transactions. Our system reduces storage and communication costs through its decentralized structure, allowing file owners to maintain full control over access permissions and safeguard privacy. This paper presents the system architecture, core functionalities, and security measures designed to mitigate common attacks. Smart contract based digital evidence management framework over blockchain for vehicle accident investigation in IoV era

Digital collection and maintenance of evidence corresponding to an accident is of utmost relevance as vehicles become connected and part of internet of things ecosystem. A conceptual evidence management framework is proposed examining the future of accident investigation forensics in the era of connected vehicles. The framework discusses how evidence generated from vehicles involved in incident along with supporting evidence from nearby vehicles CCTVs and road users can be collected and managed over blockchain using smart contracts in a vehicle to everything connected environment. The management of evidence over blockchain serves as an immutable and auditable means to investigate and settle cases post an accident among the stakeholders. Dynamic access control over evidence data and reports based on location of incident and vehicle involved is implemented with the help of smart contracts. The cost of deploying and carrying out transactions using the smart contracts is evaluated over both public and private Ethereum blockchain. Mechanism and cost involved in storing evidence on chain versus off chain using inter planetary file system in most optimised manner saving memory and execution cost is compared and presented. The smart contract codes are deployed on Rinkeby test network and can be accessed using address mentioned.

Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) environment is driven by the evolution of internet-of-Vehicles, satisfying the applications of Intelligent Transportation systems. The rapid growth in vehicles demanded intelligent services such as traffic congestion, road safety, collision avoidance, and efficient traffic monitoring for autonomous V2X environments. On-board units and Roadside units communicate using Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol to broadcast vehicle and traffic information. But, CAN does not employ any security feature for encrypting the broadcasted messages. Hence, there is a demand to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques and Blockchain (BC) technology to handle security issues in CAN. Given this background, we proposed an AI-empowered, BC-based secure data communication underlying a 6G network. We have used CAN Intrusion Detection dataset for training and testing purposes. Our proposed architecture uses Gaussian Naive Bayes classifier to classify the dataset into attacked and attack-free classes and outperforms with 93% accuracy. We have achieved low data storage cost, low latency, and high scalability by employing inter planetary file system and a 6G network, respectively.

Recently, blockchain utilization with advanced encryption and decryption has gained improved attention over diverse applications. Especially in the medical field, big data storage requires an effective medium for managing user data with high confidentiality. The existing research presents diverse encryption algorithms, but certain drawbacks include sensitive information leakage, ineffective data integrity verification, and increased computational cost and time. The proposed work develops an effective blockchain mechanism for secured data storage to conquer these limitations. This article secures the medical research data from different team members for intellectual share estimation. Initially, the registration process involves user details such as name, contact number, age and so on. Next, a digital signature is generated for every registered user using the SHA-256 hash algorithm. During data uploading, the data is encrypted using elliptic curve Diffie Hellman encryption scheme to promote security. The audio and video files are stored in inter planetary file system, and texts are stored in the blockchain. The users can retrieve the stored data from the blockchain using the encryption key. The identities and associated public keys are verified using a smart contract to validate the user certificate. Next, a decision form is made to show the polling mechanism using item preference ranking for other users viewing the data. The proposed mechanism ensures intellectual shares for all the users associated with a specified project. The performances are analyzed using PYTHON, and the encryption time obtained in the proposed model is 0.85 s at 140 security bit level.

interplanetary file system (IPFS) with its specific features is a novelty to the data distribution area. In this article we are analyzing this filesystem/protocol and we will conduct a parallel study based on the comparison to other distributed file systems (DFSs) and to HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol). IPFS provides efficient data storage and distribution, data permanence, offline-oriented paradigms, and no-central-administration feature. Furthermore, we will employ an applied example in order to prove the strengths of IPFS, which is an Android based system that was implemented with the goal of helping people during emergency situations, in case when no access to the global internet connectivity is available. The application has IPFS as the core system of distribution and messages propagation. Overall, we prove that the vision and the architecture of the internet can be significantly improved in the (near) future if developers and engineers take into consideration and start to use the massive amount of modern, efficient existing technologies.

Background Data security has been a critical topic of research and discussion since the onset of data sharing in e-health systems. Although digitalization of data has increased efficiency and speed, it has also made data vulnerable to cyber attacks. Medical records in particular seem to be the regular victims of hackers. Several data breach incidents throughout history have warranted the invention of security measures against these threats. Although various security procedures like firewalls, virtual private networks, encryption, etc are present, a mix of these approaches are required for maximum security in medical image and data sharing. Methods Relatively new, blockchain has become an effective tool for safeguarding sensitive information. However, to ensure overall protection of medical data (images), security measures have to be taken at each step, from the beginning, during and even after transmission of medical images which is ensured by zero trust security model. In this research, a number of studies that deal with these two concepts were studied and a decentralized and trustless framework was proposed by combining these two concepts for secured medical data and image transfer and storage. Results Research output suggested blockchain technology ensures data integrity by maintaining an audit trail of every transaction while zero trust principles make sure the medical data is encrypted and only authenticated users and devices interact with the network. Thus the proposed model solves a lot of vulnerabilities related to data security. Conclusions A system to combat medical/health data vulnerabilities has been proposed. The system makes use of the immutability of blockchain, the additional security of zero trust principles, and the scalability of off chain data storage using inter planetary file systems (IPFS). The adoption of this system suggests to enhance the security of medical or health data transmission.
