The rapid growth in data creation and the demand for secure storage solutions have driven the development of decentralized file-sharing platforms. Traditional centralized systems face issues like single points of failure, data breaches, and censorship, which threaten data integrity. Blockchain, known for its security and transparency, combined with the Inter Planetary file system (IPFS), offers a robust alternative for decentralized file sharing. This research explores how blockchain and IPFS enhance data security, reliability, and efficiency. The system uses blockchain for secure transaction logging, ensuring data immutability and traceability. IPFS provides decentralized file storage by splitting files into chunks, hashing them, and distributing them across nodes. Access is managed through blockchain-based smart contracts, handling authentication and authorization. Performance is evaluated through experiments measuring data retrieval speed, system throughput, and *** results show that integrating blockchain with IPFS significantly improves security and resilience over traditional systems. IPFS ensures high availability and redundancy, while blockchain offers a tamper-proof record of transactions. The system matches centralized systems in data retrieval speed and throughput, with added security and *** and IPFS offer a promising solution for decentralized file sharing, addressing the shortcomings of centralized systems. Research on blockchain technology is now growing at a rapid pace. At first, Bitcoin was managed via a system known as the blockchain, but over time, it expanded into other industries, such as real estate transactions, supply chain management, healthcare, and the Internet of medical things. It is a distributed database that continuously grows its list of entries, known as blocks, to protect it from manipulation and tampering. This paper explores the integration of blockchain technology with the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in the healthcare industry specifically focusing on the storage of medical images and remote patient monitoring (RPM). The study investigates the implications of blockchain in enhancing patient privacy data security interoperability and healthcare delivery within the IoMT network. Various techniques for storing medical images on a blockchain network are compared including PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication system), IPFS (interplanetary file system), and off-chain storage with hash referencing methods. The analysis includes considerations of security cost-effectiveness scalability and data integrity. This study emphasizes the need for blockchain-enabled RPM solutions in improving healthcare delivery, increasing patient involvement, and simplifying physician processes by reviewing the human condition of current literature and research data.

In a traditional examination management system, a request for setting question papers and the actual question papers from the Controller of Examination (COE) to various teachers and vice-versa, is done physically. Further, the work of sending the finalized paper from the COE to various superintendents of examination is also done physically. In this system, the need for a safe and secure method of setting up and circulating the examination paper is high. The work of sending the finalized paper from COE to various superintendents of examination is done physically, which raises a lot of security concerns. The Blockchain-based system will eliminate the need for physical circulation of the paper, which in turn will reduce extra costs and time required for the paper. The proposed system fulfills all the above criteria with many different technologies working together as one system to provide the desired functionality. The proposed system uses a combination of Blockchain and interplanetary file system (IPFS) to achieve decentralization and secure peer-to-peer communication between teacher and superintendent.

The Industrial Internet of Things (1IoT) has trans-formed the operational performance of industrial processes by integrating smart devices capable of data sensing and efficiently relaying to the application's back-end system for making proac-tive decisions. Since these sensors collect colossal heterogeneous data from different sensors in an IIoT environment, it is paramount to ensure the security of these data. Moreover, sensors are energy-constrained devices; therefore, an energy-efficient mechanism is required to confront the security issues of the IIoT systems. With that motive, this article proposed a Spiking Neural Network (SNN) and blockchain-based secure message exchange architecture for IIoT systems. A standard sensor dataset comprising malicious and non-malicious IIoT attack data is collected, on which SNN has been trained for multi-class classification tasks when IIoT data is routed. Additionally, it mitigates the need for resource-intensive memory operations and possesses parallel processing capability, thus making them computationally efficient. Further, we also used blockchain technology to secure the non-malicious IIoT data from data manipulation attacks. This prevents unauthorised alterations in the safe IIoT data, thereby ensuring the integrity of the industrial loT system. For the same, we created smart contracts integrated with the interplanetary file system (IPFS) to improve the integrity and response time of the blockchain network. The entities of the proposed architecture are communicating over the 5G links to strengthen the network latency and packet error rate. Lastly, we evaluated the proposed architecture using different evaluation metrics, such as loss, time comparison, smart contract interface, and Bit error rate (BER).

In the ever-evolving information age, the challenges posed by the exponential growth of data have led to innovative solutions that leverage the power of technology. This paper introduces a comprehensive data sharing platform that seamlessly integrates blockchain and interplanetary file system (IPFS) technologies to address the complex issues of data sharing and storage. The approach begins by establishing an alliance blockchain, employing a consensus mechanism rooted in computing power competition to maintain data integrity within the blockchain. Simultaneously, the IPFS system is harnessed for data storage, utilizing distributed storage, file splitting, and splicing techniques. The resultant data sharing platform consists of distinct modules, including blockchain, IPFS, encryption and decryption, and fast retrieval, providing end-to-end data security and accessibility. Furthermore, the paper delves into the practical implementation of this technology by examining a course sharing project that leverages IPFS and Ethereum blockchain. By utilizing IPFS as an access medium, the paper efficiently reduces storage costs and enhances storage efficiency, effectively addressing the challenge of managing extensive course data. The incorporation of Ethereum blockchain technology ensures the elimination of single points of failure and establishes a robust transaction mechanism that incentivizes course users to engage in sharing and enhances course liquidity. This innovative amalgamation of blockchain and IPFS not only resolves the data sharing conundrum but also guarantees secure, decentralized, and efficient data storage and exchange in an era defined by the relentless growth of digital information.

We present a prototype for a novel blockchain architecture which incorporates two significant changes from existing models. First, it strongly integrates the interplanetary file system (IPFS) for data storage. Secondly, it incorporates a multiple block structures which segregate raw block data, validation data and meta data to support a verifiable reputation-based committee selection mechanism. In our experiments, we demonstrate that the duplication of data across multiple nodes for some nodes to prune block or transaction data without impact to the network as long as at least one node maintains a copy of the data, which is enforced through careful block and transaction storage requirements for miners and wallets. We also show that by segregating validation data and raw block data, a verifiable reputation score can be used reducing dishonest member selection over time.

In this work, a patient-centric paradigm utilizing IPFS (interplanetary file system) storage, blockchain technology, and Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) is proposed for handling healthcare data. Traditional healthcare data management systems frequently encounter interoperability, data security, and privacy issues. The technology guarantees safe, decentralized storage and convenient access to medical records by integrating blockchain with IPFS, while ZKPs offer strong privacy protection by permitting key verification without disclosing sensitive information. A framework is proposed that allows healthcare organizations to manage decentralized, tamper-proof healthcare ledgers. Hospitals and doctors are lightweight nodes, although patient nodes may be full or lightweight nodes. The suggested model aims to manage health data through off-chain storage. The technique, which is built on IPFS, protects the blockchain architecture from problems related to scalability. ZKPs also assist in recovering the patient's keys in case they are misplaced or forgotten. With the least amount of effort, the strategy attempts to address and mitigate the patient-centric model's deficits. This method improves efficiency and confidence in healthcare data management while simultaneously giving people ownership over their data. Additionally, the healthcare system is made more resilient, scalable, and safe while protecting patient privacy by integrating blockchain technology with IPFS.

Cloud storage is crucial for managing large datasets, but dependence on a single cloud space raises security concerns. Conversely, Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) provides a secure cloud-based storage system operating on a peer-to-peer network. In our proposed system, user files are encrypted and distributed across multiple peers using the interplanetary file system (IPFS) protocol, with hash values stored in the DLT. This project integrates DLT and a cloud platform for storing files from various users. Our project, Distributed Cloud file Sharing Technology (DCFST), merges distributed computing principles with cloud technology to overcome traditional file-sharing limitations. It enables secure file sharing, storage, and access across interconnected devices, ensuring data integrity and authentication through blockchain. Smart contracts automate access control, granting precise content control to users. DCFST orchestrates a peer-to-peer network of nodes, with a central coordinator managing node discovery, file indexing, and load balancing. The implementation utilizes Python, J avaScrlpt, and Ethereum for smart contract execution. DCFST introduces a resilient, user-centric file-sharing ecosystem by merging distributed systems with cloud infrastructure. It contributes to decentralized technology evolution, revolutionizing data collaboration and access paradigms.

With the rapid development of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology, an increasing number of devices are connecting to the internet, generating vast amounts of sensitive data and creating data silos that hinder resource coordination. Current centralized storage systems for IIoT data are prone to single points of failure, privacy breaches, and security issues. To address these problems, this paper proposes an IIoT data storage and access solution based on Solana blockchain and interplanetary file system (IPFS) technology, aiming to achieve efficient, secure, and scalable data management. The Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) protocol generates verifiable and tamper-proof random numbers for data verification and consensus. Encryption algorithms and digital signatures implement data encryption, decryption, access control, and privacy protection, while zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) ensures data security and privacy during access. Leveraging IPFS, a high-bandwidth, distributed, peer-to-peer off-chain storage solution is constructed. Smart contracts define rules and automate data access and management operations, enhancing system security and automation. Simulation experiments demonstrate significant efficiency, security, and scalability advantages over traditional centralized solutions, making it suitable for IIoT applications with large data volumes. Future work will focus on optimizing node communication, expanding experiments, and real-world deployment to further enhance system performance.

This research study pertains to the essential problems of certificate authentication within academic organizations. It concentrates on the major issues of forgery and inefficiencies as well as administrative bottlenecks that arise in conventional systems. The usual ways, which are based on one authority organization, are likely to be compromised, move slowly on verification, and have increased overhead costs. Blockchain technology is a distributed way of doing things without a middleman, and thus it is able to improve security, transparency, and the immutability of educational records. The article identifies the shortcomings of the present blockchain-based implementations with the focus on scalability, interoperability with legacy infrastructure, and high transaction costs. In the paper, an experiment on Ethereum-based smart contracts as well as the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-256) and interplanetary file system (IPFS) technologies shows the potential of these technologies to a certificate validation system by providing cryptographic integrity and, therefore, data storage that cannot be altered. The proposed work introduces a decentralized architecture that uses smart contracts for certificate issuing and verification to some extent. By integrating cryptographic hashing mechanisms, the system provides real-time, verifiable, and immutable credential records, addressing both fraud prevention and operational inefficiencies.
