Verifying credentials, such as educational degrees, professional licenses, and permits, is a crucial yet challenging task for organizations globally. Traditional verification methods often rely on third-party vendors, introducing vulnerabilities like bias, security breaches, and privacy risks. While blockchain technology offers a promising solution for credential management, existing approaches often store sensitive credential data off-chain in centralized databases or the interplanetary file system (IPFS), leaving them susceptible to data breaches and *** paper presents a robust credential verification system built on blockchain and cryptographic constructs. The system stores credentials directly on the chain, eliminating reliance on vulnerable off-chain storage and mitigating associated risks. Furthermore, our analysis of a common credential dataset demonstrates the cost-effectiveness of our solution, suggesting its potential for widespread adoption. Future work includes implementing measures resistant to future cryptographic attacks and ensuring secure key management.

This research paper aims to introduce a blockchain-based framework for certificate verification, leveraging features such as hashing, digital signatures, and public/private key cryptography inherent in blockchain technology. One of the best ways to store large amounts of data is through cloud storage; yet, centralized storage cloud computing lacks security. Block chain, on the other hand, is a decentralized cloud storage technology that guarantees data security. To maximize resource usage, any internet-connected computing node can join and create a peer network. Block chain is an immutable distributed peer-to-peer system because every node in the network keeps a copy of the block chain. The user's file is encrypted and saved using the IPFS (interplanetary file system) protocol across several peers in the network's recommended system. IPFS is the source of hashes. The hash value, which is stored on the block chain, indicates the file path. The primary objectives of this project are high data availability, decentralized secure data storage, and efficient use of storage resources. A high degree of data security can be attained by encrypting the data and distributing it among several nodes, which addresses the security and privacy concerns associated with centralized cloud storage. This article introduces a block chain-based approach to identity management, addressing the urgent problems with conventional identification systems. By utilizing the decentralized and unchangeable characteristics of block chain technology, our solution guarantees a transparent and safe approach to handling digital identities. The identity of every user, including login credentials from other platforms, is encrypted and saved in block chain-based smart contracts. Users can access their saved data after being authenticated by signature-based verification methods. Decentralized architecture promotes user empowerment and privacy control in addition to improving security. This article uses an inventive integration of block chain technology to drive identity management into a new era, focusing on security, transparency, and user-centricity.
