In many applications, such as communication, speech coding, and audio technology, not only the sampling frequency but also the actual sampling instants are of crucial importance. Fractional sample delay has been widely used in the domain of signal processing. There are many methods to obtain higher delay resolution. However the common defect is that they can not provide a continuous variable accurate delay. In this paper we take into account the characteristic of the information carried by the signal, which is the essence of the signal. A novel method based on the signal sparsity is prosed. Compared to the traditional interpolation algorithm, this method has lower normalized mean square error (NMSE) and can obtain arbitrary sample delay.

In this paper, a novel approach of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation for large parabolic reflector antenna based on focal-field distributions is proposed. First through simulation, we get the focal field distribution with different incident direction. And then the data received by the array feed is restored by interpolation algorithm. Finally the direction of incoming plane wave can be identified by matching the restoration data with simulation data. Numerical simulation results demonstrate satisfactory performance of the approaches.

In this paper, the channel estimation algorithm based on pilot for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) in electrical special network is studied. Firstly, various channel estimation algorithms are discussed, such as least squares estimation algorithm (LS algorithm) and least mean square error estimation algorithm. And then, a class of interpolation algorithms are introduced, such as linear interpolation, two order linear interpolation and so on. Among them, the time domain filtering algorithm is studied in this paper. In addition, the subspace tracking method is introduced, which is used to track the delay subspace for improving the accuracy of the LS algorithm. The simulation results verify the feasibility of the interpolation algorithm and the time domain filtering algorithm. The research results can be used for communication of the electrical system.

Recently, scalable video compression using three-dimensional (3D) discrete wavelet transform has become a promising competitor in the scalable video coding (SVC) field. Overlapped block motion compensation (OBMC) is considered to be a key component of most efficient block-based motion estimation and compensation technologies for 3D wavelet-based SVC. However, the conventional OBMC approach globally smoothes out the prediction intensity field with the uniform window function for all the same-sized blocks, with the result that sharp features such as blocky edges are blurred or over-smoothed in the motion-compensated prediction. In this paper, we propose an improved OBMC scheme that adopts adpative weighting matrices for the case of variable block size motion compensation. Specifically, we resort to a parametric solution in closed form to express the optimal weights for the OBMC windows, based on the spatially-variant prediction of motion vectors. For our OBMC weighting matrices, the proposed interpolation algorithm is more effective in enhancing the coding performance than the most widely used interpolation algorithms, along with both the theoretical and empirical analyses. Experimental results show significant improvement over existing successful 3D wavelet-based scalable video codecs in both objective and subjective quality.

In the full-3D numerical simulation of gas-assisted injection molding, the section display technology can describe the plastic melt filling and gas penetration inside the complex gas-assisted product. So it can provide guidance for optimization of product design, mold design and molding parameters[1-3]. In this paper, the section display was achieved by using "effective element" algorithm which based on the pure space analytic geometry thought. Super-Resolution (SR) Processing is a technique that produces a High - Resolution (HR) image from a range of Low - Resolution (LR) images. There are many methods for implementing the SR signal processing. In this paper, we introduce a specific transformation that were developed in the recent years called Curvelet Transform (CT), and then apply it in SR Processing to obtain a quality improvement of SR images. We discuss two separate algorithms using the Discrete Curvelet Transform (DCT) and then compare them based on the results of HR images. We find out that the first algorithm, named the iterative algorithm can produce better HR images than the second one, the interpolation algorithm. However, the iterative algorithm also take more computational cost than that of the interpolation algorithm. It is a reasonable trade-off between images quality and processing speed. We also made a comparison between our algorithms and previous works such as the Projection onto Convex Sets (POCS) and the Nearest Neighbourhood algorithms to show the quality improvement.

Motion control system has complex features, especially the motion planning problems of the system. Motion control system inevitably causes mechanical vibration when it moves to inflection point in high-speed interpolation process. In this paper, different mathematical models of the inflection point are set up. Outer arc method and inner arc method are put forward to optimize the interpolation algorithm at inflection point. And the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods are analyzed. Combining motion control with intelligent control, the selection of the key length at the inflection point based on fuzzy control theory. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the methods, an open motion control platform was built, the interpolation algorithm is encapsulated in function block, which accords with the motion control standard proposed by PLCopen.
