Existing image fusion algorithms have the problem of edge aliasing, and 3-D image looks rough, have a sense of particles. This paper presents a new interpolation algorithm in which new gray value are re-computed according to the sub-pixel divided situation. We are able to create 3-D images with the new gray value calculated by our algorithm. Experimental result shows that the improved algorithm creates an anti-aliased 3-D image with higher quality and makes the 3-D image looks more exquisite and smooth.

This paper analyses the process of obtaining real color image based on a single CCD/CMOS sensor. Bayer CFA interpolation algorithm and White Balance algorithm are presented. The proposed interpolation algorithm which can obtain better color image and is easier to implement by hardware is provided. In order to cancel chromatic aberration, one White Balance algorithm which aims at sequential image is presented and process of FPGA design is given. Experimental results show that the design works normally. The color of corrected picture is vivid compared to the real world.

The accurate aero-engine simulation of the flight simulator is very difficult. To establish the perfect models of aero-engine. the study on modeling method and simulation of turbofan engine system are carried out in this paper. Based on the engine operating principle, control law, logical relation of individual components and vast test data, the engine performance models and function models are developed using Integrated Modeling method. Then the application of 3D/2D interpolation algorithm, alterable coefficient method and modularization modeling method in engine modeling is investigated and the simulation of engine performance in various working conditions is realized. The simulation results show that the established models can satisfy the tolerance of acceleration and deceleration of flight simulator engine system. They also show that the Integrated Modeling method has the advantages in resolving the contradiction between Real-time characteristic and precision of simulation.

A high-definition imaging and processing system is presented, which consists of a color CMOS image sensor, SRAM, CPLD and DSP. The CPLD implements the logic and timing control to the system. SRAM stores the image data, and DSP controls the image acquisition system through the SCCB. The timing sequence of the CMOS image sensor OV9620 is analyzed. The imaging part and the high speed image data memory unit are designed. The hardware design of the imaging system and processing algorithm are given. Because the CMOS digital cameras use color filter arrays to sample different spectral components, such as red, green, and blue, at the location of each pixel only one color sample is taken, and the other colors must be interpolated from neighboring samples. We use the edge-oriented adaptive interpolation algorithm for the edge pixels and bilinear interpolation algorithm for the non-edge pixels to improve the visual image quality. This method can get high processing speed, decrease the computational complexity, and effectively preserve the image edges.

For the signal containing the inter-harmonics, if the sample number is not equal to integer times of the signal period, the spectral leakages will occur in harmonic analysis based on DFT and affect the measurement accuracy. To improve the accuracy, different from other correction methods in which the long-range leakages are reduced by windowing the signal, a new interpolation algorithm is presented to correct both the long-range leakage and the short-range leakage at one time. The simulation results and experiment results show the measurement accuracy of the presented method is very high. The new algorithm is suitable for the precise harmonic analysis.

The widely used Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data play a more and more important role. But the acquisition and processing of DEM data will take enormous human and financial resources. So it is valuable and practical to make full use of the latitude, longitude and elevation information available in Google Earth. In this paper, Google Earth and its application perspective are introduced, and the secondary development of Google Earth client using C++ on the Microsoft Visual Studio platform is carried out. Methods of extracting and converting Google Earth elevation data are introduced. An improved DEM refinement approach through interpolation algorithm is mainly presented. Finally, a 3D visual application program based on ACIS and the DEM data is achieved.

According to the physical structure of color image sensor in camera, cameras acquire images using image sensors overlaid with a color filter array (CFA) from different channels filters, so we can only achieve a single color component at each pixel position. In order to reconstruct a color image, color demosaicing is required to reconstruct the other two color components. General interpolation method may blur the image edge and introduce visible artifacts near edges. An image reconstruction algorithm based on adaptive region demosaicing is put forward in Bayer format to reduce the color artifacts. Experiment results show that the algorithm can improve the image quality and PSNR, sharpen texture and edge of the image and enhance image quality. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd. Intelligent transportation system (ITS) is recognized as an important means to solve traffic problems. The most crucial way to implement ITS is real time traffic control and dynamic traffic guidance, which are all based on the acquisition of traffic status timely and accurately. This paper puts forward a prototype system of IVICS (integration of vehicle infrastructure cooperation system), which completely changes traditional traffic information collection method. In IVICS, equipped vehicles can be regarded as moving sensors on road network, which can collect local traffic parameters distributedly and transmit to road-side station. This paper also proposes traffic status extraction method, by interpolation of incomplete trajectory data of equipped vehicles, we can reconstruct spacial-temporal trajectories to estimate traffic density, average speed and travel time of certain road segment. Simulations of NGSIM dataset show that even equipped rate is very low, such method can get precise estimation of traffic status, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the above algorithm.

This work is part of a many years project 'full life cycle automation of computer animation generation'. Automatic animation generation requires automatic plot planning. Among various animation planning tasks, it is crucial to plan the moving traces of avatars. The last author of this paper has implemented the animation generation software "Swan" which includes a path planning module. However, that module generates only a 2D plan path. In this paper, we introduce a recent work of 3D path planning that finds the best 3D path given a 3D environment. Considering the possibility that inadequate 3D environments may request the avatars to undertake special posture while traversing the environment, we combine path planning with posture planning in automatic 3D traverse. The result can be shown in form of animation supported by motion graph techniques. Other contributions of this paper include: development a 2D mathematical model for 3D real environment and an algorithm transforming the latter to the former;a new principle of constraint based avatar sensitive path determination;design a calculus for calculating constraint oriented cost calculation based on spatial movement complexity of motion graph clips.
