Neural concurrent subsampling and interpolation for images

A concurrent subsampling and interpolation algorithm for images is presented which uses a feedforward neural network (FNN), providing the advantages of good image reproduction quality and high speed processing capability. Experimental results show that the proposed technique exhibits an increased performance over conventional methods such as linear- and cubic-based interpolation.

Digital storage oscilloscope can only collect a few sample points of signal because of insufficient real-time sampling rate when it works in fast time base *** order to reconstruct the signal,interpolation must be carried *** paper introduces the methods of piecewise linear interpolation and cubic spline interpolation in detail,and compares the recovery results of several different waveforms by programming and simulation,including cubic spline interpolation,piecewise linear interpolation,cubic interpolation and nearest neighbor interpolation,and calculates and analyses the related mean square *** the unknowability and complexity of the actual signal to be measured,and weighing the accuracy and speed,when the number of points to be interpolated is less than 100,the cubic spline interpolation method is used;when the number of points to be interpolated is not less than 100,the cubic interpolation method is *** simulation results of MATLAB show that all the performance indexes of the design results meet the specified requirements,and the design process is simple and feasible.

In order to reconstruct the signal, interpolation must be carried out. This paper introduces the methods of piecewise linear interpolation and cubic spline interpolation in detail, and compares the recovery results of several different waveforms by programming and simulation, including cubic spline interpolation, piecewise linear interpolation, cubic interpolation and nearest neighbor interpolation, and calculates and analyses the related mean square error. Taking tube bender system for producing pagoda-shaped fluorescent tubes as an example in this paper, four coordinates movement equations of CNC system with Parabolic characteristic are derived and an algorithm for nonlinear interpolation of four-axis linkage based on target point tracking algorithm is presented for the spiral fluorescent tube bending machine with CNC system by means of deep analysis of the pulse interval interpolation algorithm. By using this algorithm, coordinated control of four coordinates in tube bender system can be realized and, in addition, software programming procedure can be directly used for this system. Test shows that the system which uses this interpolation method has the characteristic of simple operation, high speed and high single-pulse interpolation accuracy.

The precise reconstruction of radiation dose fields holds paramount significance in radiation protection during the decommissioning of nuclear facilities. In this study, a radiation field reconstruction method based on sparse scattered monitoring data was employed, utilizing Radial Basis Function (RBF) interpolation. We conducted a detailed analysis of both RBF interpolation and its compact support variant and validated their reconstruction effectiveness through four sets of simulation experiments. The first two experiments simulated unshielded environments with a single radiation source and multiple radiation sources, respectively. The subsequent two experiments simulated shielded environments with a single radiation source and multiple radiation sources, respectively. The reconstructed results were compared with those obtained using the Kriging method, with 2.5% of all nodes utilized as measurement data in the experiments. The four sets of experiments utilizing RBF interpolation and compact support RBF interpolation exhibited commendable reconstruction performance, with average relative errors of 1.06%/3.52%, 1.13%/2.56%, 8.38%/11.59%, and 3.98%/5.65%, respectively. In comparison to the Kriging method, RBF interpolation consistently outperformed in all experiments. It is worth noting that although the overall performance of compact support RBF is relatively inferior to that of the Kriging method, its reconstruction accuracy at the locations of radiation sources surpasses that of the Kriging method. These research findings provide preliminary evidence of the potential application prospects of RBF interpolation in radiation field reconstruction.

Rainfall is closely related to soil erosion monitoring. In geography, we collect rainfall data through precipitation stations, and then use interpolation algorithm to calculate the rainfall of a local area or a certain location. Based on the data from precipitation stations of Wuhan province, this paper proposes a data processing model based on the combination of K-means clustering algorithm and interpolation algorithm. Compared with the method only using interpolation calculation, the calculation error of the model with clustering algorithm is lower than that without clustering algorithm.

In this paper, it is shown how power pattern cross-correlation (PPCC) algorithm, which relies on received signal strength (RSS) values recorded at electronically steerable parasitic array radiator (ESPAR) antenna output port, used for direction-of-arrival (DoA) estimation, can easily be improved by applying spline interpolation to radiation patterns recorded in the calibration phase of the DoA estimation process. The proposed method allows one to measure ESPAR antenna's radiation patterns during the initial calibration phase with much coarser angular resolution than required for linearly interpolated radiation patterns. Simulation results indicate that the overall DoA estimation accuracy can be kept at the similar level even for a few number of points, which, when applied in anechoic chamber calibration procedure of wireless sensor network (WSN) nodes equipped with ESPAR antennas, will have a noticeable influence on the overall calibration time and therefore also on deployment costs in practical WSN applications.

the circle interpolation track is measured and analyzed on the experimental platform of open CNC system system and a dynamic model of direct current servo drive based on kinetics and kinematics is built. The speed and acceleration diagram of the servo drive mechanism is also measured to verify theoretical analysis. And finally a new kind of interpolation algorithm is put forward to improve interpolation error caused by kinetics and kinematics.

In this paper, we propose a computationally simple algorithm for the estimation of the frequencies of a random phase two-dimensional (2-D) complex exponential in additive noise by extending the 1-D estimator developed by Aboutanios and Mulgrew. The procedure of the algorithm is based on a two-stage scheme consisting of a coarse estimator followed by a fine search stage. The separability of the problem implies that the estimator can be applied in each direction. Theoretical analysis shows, however, that the performance of the algorithm converges to the minimum point of the asymptotic variance after two iterations only if the estimation is applied jointly in the two dimensions. As in the 1-D case, this variance is extremely close to the 2-D Cramer-Rao Lower Bound. The simulation results are presented to verify the analysis.

For ball mill pulverizing system is one of important assistant equipment of a thermal power plant and has high energy consumption, an interpolation-based fuzzy controller for load control of ball mill pulverizing system is proposed in the paper. The proposed controller is based on fuzzy control strategy and the Newton interpolation algorithm is adopted to improve the control precision. Moreover, the proposed controller obtains the final output according to the interpolation calculation of the neighboring antecedents of the observation with considering the distance between the observation and its neighboring antecedents. Experiments results verify that the proposed controller could realize the load control of the ball mill pulverizing system effectively and has higher control quality.
