In this paper two architectures for optical image verification are proposed. Both architectures are modified from conventional joint transform correlators (JTCs) and can significantly improve the recovered image quality. First, an input phase-only function is Fourier transformed and then is interfered with a reference wave that is diffracted from a plane wave incident on another random phase mask. Second, two phase-only functions are placed at the two input sides of a beam splitter such that the interference pattern of their Fourier transforms can be detected. The intensity of the interference pattern in both architectures can be recorded and then its Fourier-transform can be obtained in the output plane. To obtain a predefined target image in the output plane, the input phase function is iteratively retrieved by the use of the projection onto constraint sets algorithm. Simulation results show that the less mean squared error and better image quality are obtained for both the binary and grayscale images.

Low-dose CT imaging has been applied in modern medical practice, because it can greatly reduce the radiation for patients. However, with the decrease of radiation dose, noise level is getting much higher. The widely used traditional filtered back-projection (FBP) method is not competent for dealing with the low-dose CT projection data because it lacks of consideration on noise characteristic. Therefore, the statistical iteration algorithm which can consider the noise characteristics is gradually taken into account. But the slow convergence speed and heavy time-consuming limits its application in clinic. Many researchers are also working on the state-of-the-art iterative algorithms, so that they can adapt to low dose CT reconstruction and greatly reduce time. In this paper, we first analyzed the noise characteristics of low-dose CT projection. Then, considering the statistical property of noisy sinogram and the superiority and inferiority of the iterative algorithm, we proposed an adjustable dynamic self-adapting OSEM method (ADSA-OSEM). This method combines variable subset strategy with the least squares merit algorithm applied to maximum likelihood function on OSEM algorithm instead of fixed subsets of traditional OSEM method. A simulation study is performed to test the effectiveness and advantage of the proposed method by comparing with FBP and traditional OSEM method. Through flexible adjustment of the adaptive parameters, results show the new method has greater performance in reconstructed image quality with fewer iterations, the granularity noise and streak-like artifacts could be well suppressed.

In this paper, we propose a power control algorithm dedicated for machine type communications (MTC) in future non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks employing game theory. In MTC networks, communication reliability should be considered prior to power consumption or energy efficiency. Once the reliability is satisfied, discussions about power consumption makes sense. We build a cost function for each device based on a non-cooperative game model. The cost function reflects the power consumption as well as received signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of each device. Since we assume the devices are battery-driven, the objective is to minimize the power consumption as much as possible provided that the received SINR of each device is kept beyond an acceptable level so that the reliability can be guaranteed. We derive the power control algorithm function and prove the convergence of this iteration algorithm and the unique existence of Nash equilibrium as well. The simulation results show that under the same constraints of maximum power consumption and minimum acceptable SINR, the proposed algorithm outperforms the conventional algorithms in terms of power consumption and power efficiency.

A novel equalization and precoding joint optimization algorithm is proposed in dual hop multiple input multiple output (MIMO) relay communication systems. This solution combines the equalization for the first stage and precoding for the second stage in relay system, therefore the joint optimization can be equaled with the unique optimization for the product matrix of detection and precoding, which avoid the non convergence problems in iterating process, compared with iterative optimization, the complexity burden of this algorithm is greatly reduced. And from simulation results the performance is only a little degraded. Therefore, when complexity and performance are considered, this algorithm reached a better compromise.

A distributed trust evaluation model is presented for MANETs by which uncertainties of trust are transformed into probability vectors giving the probability distribution of trust levels. The system evolves over time as a finite-state Markov process with variant transition matrixes. We attempt to predict the trustworthiness values of entities that are determined by their inherent error patterns. The Markov process is associated to a Bonus-Malus System and controlled by the estimated error patterns of individual entities involved. As well, an iteration algorithm is designed to prevent inaccurate predictions for trust values because of the properties of Markov process. The simulation results demonstrate that our model is able to predict local trust successfully for entities in MANETs by estimating their actual error patterns accurately.

These methods that extract parameters of constitutive equations can be divided into three groups: direct search-based strategies, gradient-based methods and evolutionary algorithms. By analyzing these strategies, a new method based on iteration algorithm was proposed. To obtain parameters of JC and ZA model for Ti-6Al-4V, the error between prediction data and SHPB experiment data was set as objective function, then initial value was calculated using iteration algorithm. The effect of convergence rate and precision at various steps and experiment data was invested. The main advantage of the method are as follows: fast calculation;compatible with SHPB data and orthogonal cutting data;compatible with the decoupling and coupling constitutive equations. Finally, it has shown that the algorithm is stable, and acceptable results can be obtained.

The present work is devoted to the statement and analysis of one nonlocal contact problem for Poisson's equation in two-dimensional domain. For numerical solution the iteration process is constructed, which allows one to reduce the solution of the initial problem to the solution of a sequence of classical Dirichlet problems. The algorithm is suitable for parallel realization. The specific problem is considered as example and solved numerically by using Wolfram Mathematica.

In the stochastic economic dispatch with renewable power, the renewable power uncertainty cost is usually considered based on the overestimation and underestimation penalty cost, which is formulated as an integral of renewable power distribution. However, although the model could be convex, iteration algorithms such as sequential linear programming are needed to solve the economic dispatch model due to the integral item. iteration methods bring some new problems such as step size setup and sometimes lead to a bad convergence. To address this issue, this paper proposes a reliable algorithm for convex economic dispatch with renewable power uncertainty. The integral form of renewable power uncertainty cost is converted into a linear form, which can be reliably solved based on off-the-shell commercial solvers. Numerical studies in the IEEE 118-bus system are presented to demonstrate the merits of the proposed method. The results show that, compared with iteration algorithms, the proposed model is much more efficient.
