This study undertook an investigation into a novel approach known as the Digital Assessment Proficiency Exam. The primary objective was to leverage this approach in the creation of a mobile application tailored to facilitate the comprehension of java basics. Employing an iterative development model, the app's design and functionality were refined through a series of iterations. The efficacy of the developed app was evaluated by programming teachers, using the Great App Checklist. The obtained mean scores reflect a substantial validation of the app's design: 4.17 for its purpose, alignment, and ease of use, 3.83 for its pedagogical framework, 4.17 for personalization, and 4.28 for its overall contribution to the app ecosystem. This evaluation yielded consistently high scores ranging from 3.83 to 4.17, underscoring the remarkable efficacy of this study's outcome as an invaluable tool for learning java. © 2023 IEEE.

This article describes the development of a parser in the java programming language. The analyzer recognizes a program written in C code. The implemented parser recognizes and separates words from C program code and recognizes the type of each word. The types of words that the implemented parser recognizes are keyword, identifier, constant, operator, and delimiter. The result of the execution of the designed parser is in the form of a pair of values: . Performed testing of the analyzer with C code submission in stages and at once. © 2023 IEEE.

This study explores the development of methods and tools for automated processing and analysis of medical texts using the java programming language. The analysis of medical texts holds significant promise for enhancing the quality of medical diagnosis, treatment planning, and scientific research. Leveraging java as the primary programming language enables the creation of efficient and robust tools capable of handling substantial volumes of medical data. In this paper, we conduct a comprehensive review of the known sources pertaining to automated medical text processing. We delve into the methods and technologies employed for medical text analysis, emphasizing the crucial steps of data collection and preparation for subsequent analysis. A substantial portion of work centers on the practical implementation of a java-based system for processing and analyzing medical texts. Utilization of various text-processing libraries, machine learning, deep learning tools, and the integration of databases for the storage of medical data has been explored. The efficacy of the developed system has been assessed and compared with other methods and tools commonly used in the analysis of medical texts. The obtained results shed light on the system's performance and highlight its potential advantages. As conclusion, insights into potential avenues for future research in this vital domain has been proposed. © 2023 CEUR-WS. All rights reserved.

The issues related to SolarWinds attacks point out a large concern with modern software development projects in that there are fundamental flaws with existing security infrastructure. The purpose of this research is to investigate to what extent can the SootDiff analysis tool, a bytecode comparison tool, be used to determine if an application has been tampered with by comparing a known good version with a version that is unknown. The compiled and decompiled bytecodes as Jimple representations were compared to analyze the unique differences in identifying code tempering. The results showed that the scope of the variable is important in whether the change was detected. Variables with a scope that was entirely contained within one method could have their names changed without triggering a warning, but global variables to objects could not. The parameter variable and the local variable behave differently. Since the parameter is in the publicly available part of the method java treats it the same way as it does the global variable. The local variable is strictly private to the method and not made available to the outside. Such findings can support the analysis tool which is useful for identifying potential breaches to detect meaningful changes in code even if it is decompiled. © 2023 IEEE.

When done manually, software refactoring becomes a thorough job and can introduce chances of human failure during its application. Automated or semi-automated tools for this purpose can facilitate the refactoring process. This paper presents the semi-automated Refactoring and Measurement Tool (RMT) that performs pattern-based refactoring in source code written in java. RMT detects and applies design patterns using literature methods and evaluates the benefits of pattern application regarding quality attributes using software metrics. java is an object-oriented programming language that helps programmers to run programs easily. A web-based java programming Learning Assistant system (JPLAS) has been developed to help improve skills through self-learning. Learning java programming for beginners requires quick practice routines in code typing problems, but JPLAS didn't have that problem type yet. In this paper, we propose Code Typing Problems (CTP) as a new type in JPLAS. CTP is a new instance that displays code references that must be rewritten that cannot be copied and pasted. CTP evaluation was given to 21 second-semester students taking a java programming course. The problem-solving did on 8 java programming topics, where each case consisted of at least two java files with 624 lines of program code. The results show that the highest average level of truth is 99.1%, and the trend of the ratio of the average number of submissions to the number of question lines is decreasing. A decreasing ratio indicates an increase in students' understanding while using CTP. © 2023 IEEE.

This article introduces an experimental timetable filling and management system developed for experimental teaching, including the main functions and filling content. It uses user-defined java class objects to complete operations such as querying, adding, deleting, modifying, and closing the background database of the system. Administrator users can add, modify, delete, and download experimental courses on the management page by calling background applications. When creating or modifying an experimental curriculum, the database has the function of checking input information and judging conflicts, preventing conflicting course items from being entered. Obtain statistical information of experimental courses through the sum function and group by clause in database queries. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, chatbots' usefulness has spread to an ever-expanding number of domains. Chatbots can be used in educational contexts to ask students questions about topics they are studying for self-testing. Designing models for dialogue systems includes the crucial step of generating appropriate responses. In this study, we propose using chatbots which ask questions specifically catered to a technical domain of interest. To that purpose, we've chosen the fundamental concepts of the java programming language as our domain. We begin by creating a collection of java-based dialogues with various sets of question-answer pairings of varying difficulty across various topics. Our java dialogue dataset includes 10000 multi-turn dialogues generated by an algorithm that simulates a java interview on basic concepts. Every conversation serves as a training example for our proposed framework. Then, for training on our dataset, we use versions of two different transformer-based pre-trained generative architectures. We compare and evaluate the architectures based on standard automatic metrics for dialogue response generation and other parameters specific to our use-case. We observe that the usage of generative architectures pre-trained as dialog models can generate newer questions, in most cases meaningful in the context of the interview. However, the model design could benefit from incorporating a further knowledge component in order to improve the production of questions both in terms of topic and suitable level of difficulty. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a thorough conceptualization of a project that resembles an online banking system that offers fundamental financial services via a user-friendly GUI. In this standalone project, we have developed a system that offers existing customers a dashboard from which they may transfer, withdraw, and deposit money as well as check their transaction history. New users will be guided through a straightforward, step-by-step process to open an account, during which they will receive a special account number and be prompted with a few simple questions. The Single Server Banking Management System undertaken as a project is based on relevant technologies. This project serves the primary goal of creating software for a bank account management system. This project enables and enhances the process to complete tasks quickly and easily, which is not achievable with manual systems and is overcome by this program. Static Application Security Testing (SAST) is a crucial methodology employed to assess the security posture of an organization's applications by scrutinizing source code for vulnerabilities susceptible to exploitation. Typically, SAST tools adopt rule-based techniques to meticulously scan source code for security shortcomings, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of applications. Notably, java and PHP stand as two widely used languages in the development of open-source web applications, each bearing distinct security reputations. In the contemporary landscape, the sheer volume of code makes it increasingly challenging to conduct exhaustive line-by-line vulnerability assessments. This research introduces a novel SAST methodology implemented in the Python programming language. This approach is tailored to pinpoint vulnerabilities within the application layer, with a particular focus on identifying SQL injection and Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities within both java and PHP codebases. Thus, this research seeks to validate the system's efficacy in detecting these critical vulnerabilities in PHP and java programming languages. To evaluate the system's performance, penetration testing techniques are employed to establish proof of concept. These techniques entail conducting sample tests on vulnerable web applications, such as DVWA (PHP) and WebGoat (java). Subsequently, an in-depth analysis of the testing outcomes is conducted using confusion matrices, recall, and precision metrics. The proposed SAST methodology presents a valuable resource for software developers, facilitating the analysis of source code or compiled code versions to unearth security flaws. The testing results indicate an accuracy rate of 20.7% for the SAST, underscoring its potential to contribute significantly to the enhancement of application security.
