Studies the design of distributed virtual environments (dVEs) for tele-multi-robotics. The proposeddesign, incorporating two models ( distributlon-supported model and VE-supported model), attempts to represent common functionality, communication issues, and requirements found in multi-operator dVEs. The distribution-supported model concentrates on the introduction of computer-supported collaborative work (CSCW) to realize the coordination of multi-operators, while the VE-supported model concentrates on the utilization of an object-oriented approach to strengthen the expandability and robustness of the system. Finally, the configuration anti running environments of the system are given.

Construction of 3d geological visualization system has attracted much more concern in GIS, computer modeling, simulation and visualization fields. It not only can effectively help geological interpretation and analysis work, but also can it can help leveling up geosciences professional education. In this paper, an applet-based method was introduced for developing a web-based3d geological information visualization system. The main aims of this paper are to explore a rapid and low-cost development method for constructing a web-based3d geological system. First, the borehole data stored in Excel spreadsheets was extracted and then stored in SQLSERVER database of a web server. Second, the JdBC data access component was utilized for providing the capability of access the database. Third, the user interface was implemented with applet component embedded in JSP page and the 3d viewing and querying functions were implemented with PickCanvas of java3d. Last, the borehole data acquired from geological survey were used for test the system, and the test results has shown that related methods of this paper have a certain application values.
