The main purpose of this article is to describe a developed application for identifying individuals. The application was developed using java programming language. The OpenCV library was selected and used for recognition of image templates. The reform of Japanese translation teaching needs to keep pace with the times and introduce new elements and means. The purpose of this paper is to study the development of Japanese translation teaching assistant platform. This paper discusses the introduction of Japanese translation teaching auxiliary platform in the process of translation teaching. From the platform development environment to the development method of the platform. The development of the system is based on java Web technology, combined with MySQL, elastic search, Hadoop storage, spark flow computing, in CentOS platform, to achieve three-tier architecture of functional applications. Combined with the experiment, the recognition of new sentences by the translation memory of Japanese translation teaching assistant platform is tested. The experimental results show that 33% of the samples match 68%–75% when the number of translated words input to the Japanese translation teaching assistant platform reaches more than 10000. Japanese translation teaching assistant platform plays an auxiliary role in the accumulation of a certain translation memory for scientific and technological Japanese translation, and this auxiliary role will be strengthened with the increase of translation practice of translators using Japanese translation teaching assistant platform. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.

The policy for the implementation of the Community Activities Restrictions (a.k.a PPKM) recently implemented by the government due to the increased of COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia has an impact of the activities restriction. People are experiencing problem to buy all the necessities. Moreover, during this pandemic, various health institutions require large quantity of medical devices, so the design of online medical devices platform application is needed to consider the availability of medical devices are needed quickly. The design of the online medical devices platform done with several programming languages, one of them is the java programming language. java was the first programming language that was not tied to any particular hardware or operating system. java programming language are known as application applied by using Netbeans 2.1. NetBeans IDE also known as an application that is used to create and develop on the Desktop. The result of the study using this application indicates that there are 6 display designs made in the program, including the initial display, the login display by entering the username and password, the list display (for users who do not have an account), the list-item display, the order display and final display. © 2021 IEEE.

Large-scale instruments sharing platform has been completed based on using java language to program, and using spring Boot framework technology for building the background project, and using MySQL database to store the data, and using Vue to design the front-page, which will been shared and used in District, University and Enterprise. The test system of eclipse is used for case test to realize the sharing function of large-scale instruments. Through this platform, the instruments' information and leasing of large-scale instruments can be understood in real time, and the status information, online use records, equipment using experience, and online booking, comments and customer service consultation can also be carried out on the platform, so as to make rational and efficient use of large-scale instruments, reduce the using waste of large-scale instruments, and be more conducive to the sustainable development of economy, science and technology and expand the scope of resource sharing. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Program comprehension is one of the most important activities in developing and maintaining software. Although existing studies have examined aspects of Go such as design patterns, code smells and comment density, the comprehensibility of Go has not been explored yet. This study analyzes the comprehensibility of Go by comparing it with java based on five metrics namely Too Long Files, Too Long Methods, Nesting Depth, Lack of Cohesive Comments and Duplicate Comments. For comparison, 50 popular, diverse and open-source projects are selected from each language. Results show that Go projects outperform java in terms of Nesting Depth, Lack of Cohesive Comments and Duplicate Comments. © 2021 Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School. All rights reserved.

The code coverage, being the factor of focus on unit testing that tells us which part of the source code is tested or untested. If the code consists of abstract classes or interfaces, they are also to be tested to ensure the maximum code coverage as generating the high coverage test suites play an important role in realistic systems like airbag systems, autopilot systems, etc. Thus, the correctness in the functionality is properly tested. Mocking is the process of constituting an imitation of the object. It is the technique of unit testing where the virtual objects are created to mock the behavior of the actual object, which helps us to bypass faults to some other class or system like database operation, REST API calls, etc. Hence, this proposed work has been designed to generate highly covered test cases in the aspects of java. This work helps us to produce the test cases along with the skeleton, which forms a syntactically correct JUnit. It helps to test the subclasses implementing the Abstract class’s methods and classes implementing interfaces, to generate the test cases for no access modifier methods. Finite-state models are ubiquitous in the study of concurrent systems, especially controllers and servers that operate in a repetitive cycle. In this paper, we show how to extract finite state models from a run of a multi-threaded java program and carry out runtime verification of correctness properties. As the extracted models can become very large for long runs, the focus of this paper is on constructing reduced models with user-defined abstraction functions that map a larger domain space to a smaller one. The abstraction functions should be chosen so that the resulting model is property preserving, i.e., proving a property on the abstracted model carries over to the concrete model. The main contribution of this paper is in showing how runtime verification can be made efficient through online property checking on property-preserving abstracted models. The property specification language resembles a propositional linear temporal logic augmented with simple datatypes and operators. Classic concurrency examples and larger case studies (OAuth protocol, Apache Tomcat server) are presented in order to demonstrate the usefulness of our proposed techniques, which are incorporated in an Eclipse plug-in for runtime visualization and verification of java programs. © 2022, The Authors. An Empirical Study on Bug Severity Estimation using Source Code Metrics and Static Analysis

In the past couple of decades, significant research efforts have been devoted to the prediction of software bugs (i.e., defects). In general, these works leverage a diverse set of metrics, tools, and techniques to predict which classes, methods, lines, or commits are buggy. However, most existing work in this domain treats all bugs the same, which is not the case in practice. The more severe the bugs the higher their consequences. Therefore, it is important for a defect prediction method to estimate the severity of the identified bugs, so that the higher severity ones get immediate attention. In this paper, we provide a quantitative and qualitative study on two popular datasets (Defects4J and ***), using 10 common source code metrics, and two popular static analysis tools (SpotBugs and Infer) for analyzing their capability to predict defects and their severity. We studied 3,358 buggy methods with different severity labels from 19 java open-source projects. Results show that although code metrics are useful in predicting buggy code (Lines of the Code, Maintainable Index, FanOut, and Effort metrics are the best), they cannot estimate the severity level of the bugs. In addition, we observed that static analysis tools have weak performance in both predicting bugs (F1 score range of 3.1%-7.1%) and their severity label (F1 score under 2%). We also manually studied the characteristics of the severe bugs to identify possible reasons behind the weak performance of code metrics and static analysis tools in estimating their severity. Also, our categorization shows that Security bugs have high severity in most cases while Edge/Boundary faults have low severity. Finally, we discuss the practical implications of the results and propose new directions for future research. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the development of the times, readers' demand for news is no longer limited to simple text information, but more vigorous to understand the deep meaning behind the text. As far as journalists are concerned, they need to strengthen the exploration of visualization in the way of communication to realize the visual communication of news. As soon as visual news comes into being, it is deeply loved by audiences. How to expand the scope of visual news transmission and broaden the path of visual news transmission has become a problem that must be considered by journalists and sportsmen. To make the content of data news more abundant, we can make rational use of the method of visual communication, so that the characteristics of interaction can be fully developed. From the dialectical relationship between technology and content to analyze news visualization, java technology as a widely used network language, due to its platform independence, high availability, security, reliability and support for database programming. The establishment of news management based on the java platform, giving full play to the important role of information technology, and more efficient processing of news of large information volume, has a positive impact on the development of the news industry. © 2020 Mattingley Publishing.
