This paper analyses the importance of establishing a robot simulation and monitoring system anddescribes the method how to establish a virtual environment using java3d. Taking a type of serial robot (MOTOMAN-SV3X) for example, it introduces the working principle and systematic architecture of a robot-oriented simulation and monitoring system based on java3d and closed-loop feedback. The paper also accomplishes the improving collision detection algorithm. At last, a practical experiment demonstrates that the system is reliable and precise.

Models of 3d objects have become widely accessible in several disciplines within academia and industry, spanning from scientific visualization to entertainment. In the last few years, 3d models are often organized into digital libraries accessible over the network, and thus semantic annotation of such models becomes an important issue. A fundamental step in annotating a 3d model is to segment it into meaningful parts. In this work, we present a java3d framework for inspecting and segmenting 3d objects represented in X3d format. In particular, we present a combination of segmentation and merging techniques for producing a feasible decomposition of the boundary of a 3d Object. We represent such decomposition as a graph, that we call the segmentation graph which is the basis for semantic annotation. We describe also the interface we have developed to allow visualization and browsing of both the decomposition and the segmentation graph in order to understand the topological structure of the resulting decomposition.

Technology of Applet, JSP, Servlet, java3d and BC4J has been integrated in the model. The main idea of this model as follows, using java3d to develop the Applet that can interact with user, and the Applet embeds in web page of JSP. The Applet applies agent server, BC4J to communicate with server of Oracle database. The experiment shows that this model has some certain superiority.

Combined with the technologies such as java3d, geometry modeling and texture mapping, this paper constructs and implements a three-dimensional presentation model of notebook computer products. It introduces the background and the status quo of the presentation systems. In order to build this system, it introduces java3d technology firstly. Secondly, it analyzes the structure of the familiar notebook computer products, and on this base, this paper constructs a geometry model in java3d anddescribes its implementation in details. When a notebook computer product is given, we can take the photos of its 12 surfaces using a digital camera very easily, and then map these photos onto the corresponding surfaces of the model, Finally, this model is implemented using java3d, and a good three-dimensional presentation result comes out.
