In high power TEA CO2 laser system, liquid crystal display (lcd) module is a key device for display and control functions. Because of laser's harsh electromagnetic environment, lcd module coupled to the electromagnetic interference easily, leading to not work normally. This paper analyzed the interference coupling mechanism. On the basis of the analysis results, lcd module's field-line coupling is calculated by Taylor form's BLT equation. The calculation result is verified by experiment. The results show that, due to the field-line coupling, the data line of lcd module existed interference voltage, interference voltage value is 1V. The interference voltage is larger than the lcd module's noise margin. lcd module must shield the interference.

The display used in current cell phones has an air gap between the cover glass and the liquid-crystal-display (lcd) module to prevent the lcd glass from being damaged. Reflections at the boundaries of the air gap cause a reduction in the lcd luminance and contrast. To address this problem, a newly proposed lcd structure has been investigated. The "Super View Resin (SVR)," a transparent elastic resin which improves the shock resistance and visibility of the lcd, has been developed. Filling the air gap between the cover glass and lcd module with a refractive-index-matching resin solves the light-reflection problem inherent in the use of a reinforced cover-glass lens. Moreover, the elastic filler works as a damper, reducing any external shock, which prevents not only the cover glass and lcd module from being damaged, but also the glass from being shattered when it is broken.

Development of a low-carbon product design system based on embedded GHG emissions

The GHG emissions of a product throughout its life cycle must be estimated, with problematic parts and/or materials identified to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by the product. Products are made of parts;thus, the amount of GHG emissions of a product depends on the GHG emissions of the individual parts. Parts suitable for product specification are chosen to form the bill of materials (BOM) of the product. This paper proposes a low-carbon product design system based on BOM using the embedded GHG emissions data of the parts. The embedded GHG emissions of a part represent the GHG emissions of the part for its entire life cycle, which is defined as the sum of two sets of GHG emissions: the first from the use of raw materials, manufacturing and transport of the part itself, and the second from the emissions allocated to the part during the product's manufacturing, distribution, use and end of life stages. A low-carbon product design system consists of several steps. The major steps include setting up establishment of the GHG emission target, establishment of the BOM structure, formation of the g-BOM (green house gas-BUM), estimation of the GHG emissions of the product, identification of problematic parts, selection of alternative parts and evaluation of the GHG emissions of the newly designed product. The applicability of the proposed low-carbon product design system was evaluated using a liquid-crystal display (lcd) TV module. The low-carbon product design system allows quick calculation of the GHG emissions of a product. Thus, a designer can easily and quickly evaluate alternative parts for the design of a low-carbon product. Case study results showed that a low-carbon product design can be simple and easy to apply in the evaluation of alternative design solutions;thus, making low-carbon product design possible during the embodiment design stage. Mc9s12xs128 is a kind of Freescale 16-bit microcontroller. The concept of the Freescale Microcontroller Minimum System and the principle of realization is systematically elaborated. With the world moving towards modernized technologies, use of carbon fuels, such as Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is in reach within users;domestically and industrially. Even in some developing countries, such as countries within the South East Asian belt, natural gas is supplied at a fixed rate with unrestrained amount for usage. With that being said, this increases the probability of wastage;and hence from this kind of wastage of this invisible and odorless gas, comes the chance of accidents. LPG and natural gas is highly combustible and can burn even at some distance from the source of outflow. Most flame related mishaps occur due to the spillage of gas. The project in this paper aims to help LPG user by notifying on any unnoticed gas emission or leakage accident through alarming them as well as creating opportunities for them to take critical and immediate actions;so that the damages to loves and wealth can be avoided or minimized. The proposed gas leakage detection system will detect gas within a certain area using a MQ2 sensor and any moment a gas leakage due to a vital mistake or pipe crack is sensed, it will immediately turn on a ventilation system for the leaked gas to pass out. The system includes a GSM module, which makes the user or owner of the place observant by sending a text message on their phones. In addition to that, in order to maximize the range of the people notified, a buzzer and lcd module is employed so that the residents next door can also be made aware of this mishap.

A bonding process between tape-carrier package and a glass panel with anisotropic conductive film(ACF) is tested preliminarily by making use of high power diode laser as a heat source for curing. Laser transient thermal simulation was also carried out to analyze thermal response of the assembly process for a package using ACE Bonding layers consist of polyimide film, copper bump, ACF, ITO and glass plate. The results from modeling of process and from optical properties of layers showed that heat absorbed from polyimide film surface and ACF layer is dominant source of curing during laser illumination. The temperature on ACF layer goes up to 180degreesC within 1 sec. The temperature in depth shows a decrease of about 17% from polyimide film surface to the bottom of glass plate, but a constant temperature in ACF layer. It is confirmed by experiment that laser should be irradiated periodically in order to maintain the temperature in the range of 175-185 degreesC for curing. New ACF bonding processes by making use of high power diode laser are proposed.

The following paper documents the development of an RFID based system that alerts vehicle drivers about approaching road oddities at an optimum distance before encountering them. The objective is to design a wireless system that delivers road signs (and other road-related information) to the commuter inside his/her vehicle visually and aurally, at an appropriate distance before encountering the corresponding road aberrations. The final aim is to bring about a change in the current road safety paradigm by providing a more efficient and ergonomic electronic alternative to static road signs. In addition to reducing dependency on road signs, the device will also aid in averting accidents and traffic jams, and in better implementing traffic law and order.
