We propose a signal processing technique using ldpc (low-density parity-check) code instead of PRML (partial response maximum likelihood) system for the longitudinal magnetic recording channel. The scheme is designed by the precoder admitting level detection at the receiver-end and modifying the likelihood function for ldpc code decoding. The scheme can be collaborated with other decoder for turbo-like systems. The proposed algorithm can contribute to improve the performance of the conventional turbo-like systems. In this paper. an innovative pseudonym scheme based on Direct Anonymous Attestation (DAA) and low-Density Parity-Check (ldpc) is proposed. For the sake of improving the efficiency of generating pseudonyms. the proposed scheme uses the ldpc code to encode the credential to produce more available versions. To detect whether a vehicle's On-Board Unit (OBU) is compromised, the proposed scheme grants the Revocation Authority (RA) to check if the compromised OBU uses a revoked pseudonym. Compared with the existing pseudonym scheme, the proposed scheme has a higher level of security and lower computation overhead.

Rate-compatible spatially coupled ldpc code ensembles by partial repetition extension

Herein, one partial repetition extension method is proposed to construct the rate-compatible spatially coupled low-density parity-check (RC-SCldpc) codes. For each position of the base SCldpc code, a certain proportion of the variable nodes are first selected randomly and then repeated a certain number of times. By adjusting the selection proportions and the repetition times, a family of RC-SCldpc codes with arbitrary rates from 0 to the rate of the base SCldpc code can be obtained and the rate-compatibility is realized. Threshold analysis results show that all member codes in the proposed RC-SCldpc code family display capacity-approaching thresholds over the binary erasure channel and additive white Gaussian noise channel. Finite length simulation results also confirm their excellent thresholds. Moreover, the decoding complexity can be significantly decreased using this partial repetition extension method.

A design of low-density parity-check (ldpc) code via the masking technology and progressive optimization is proposed. The code generated by this method has lower computational complexity, and their parity-check matrices can effectively refrain from the girth-4 phenomenon. The proposed method has the superiorities such as better girth-length characteristic and more flexible trim in the length and rate of the code. Experiment results indicate that the error-correction performance of the new code should be better than or as good as the capability of the code which is constructed without been masking. Futhermore, under the condition of short code length, the performance is better than that of ldpc codes via the randomized construction methods.

In this paper, the duobinary signaling scheme and ldpc code are employed for enhancing the performance in time-spreading wavelength-hopping optical CDMA system. As the multiple access interference and beat noise will bring about serious adverse impact on system performance, using duobinary signaling scheme is a preferable manner to alleviate such channel impairments. In our proposed system, the duobinary signaling scheme is predicated upon EWO, which applies the orthogonality of carrier-hopping prime code. Once the channel condition is further improved, the utilization of ldpc code would be more powerful and can make tremendous progress in performance. Our proposed scheme is compact and simple;also it can allow more simultaneous users accommodated in the network. Therefore, it is a promising way to be the platform for broadband optical access network.

We complete the description of the procedure of topological expansion of a bipartite graph without parallel branches on the plane of changing the structure of cycles of length up to 10 inclusive. Based on previous papers, we have extended a set of theorems specifying transformation rules for cycles and paths when passing from a protograph to the Tanner graph. We propose a procedure for detecting the existence of a cycle of length 10 in the expanded graph by analyzing the protograph.

Low density parity check code (ldpc) is a linear block code whose performance is close to Shannon's limit. Compared with other decoding algorithms, it has low decoding complexity and flexible structure. So it becomes people's research hotspots. In recent years, ldpc code codec algorithm has been improved, and is widely used in deep space communications, optical fiber communications, mobile communications and underwater and other fields. Using chaotic sequence single-layer mapping plus pixel scrambling can complete chaotic image encryption, because some chaotic sequence is poor robust, in the process of channel transmission, it is difficult to ensure that the information can be destroyed after the attack In this paper, ldpc codes are introduced, and in the chaotic image encryption, block coding is used to form error protection to improve the stability of the image transmission process and improve the transmission quality.

Correcting capabilities of binary irregular ldpc code under low-complexity iterative decoding algorithm

This paper deals with the irregular binary low-density parity-check (ldpc) codes and two iterative low-complexity decoding algorithms. The first one is the majority error-correcting decoding algorithm, and the second one is iterative erasure-correcting decoding algorithm. The lower bounds on correcting capabilities (the guaranteed corrected error and erasure fraction respectively) of irregular ldpc code under decoding (error and erasure correcting respectively) algorithms with low-complexity were represented. These lower bounds were obtained as a result of analysis of Tanner graph representation of irregular ldpc code. The numerical results, obtained at the end of the paper for proposed lower-bounds achieved similar results for the previously known best lower-bounds for regular ldpc codes and were represented for the first time for the irregular ldpc codes.

Low density parity check (ldpc) code is a kind of linear block code with excellent performance which is proposed by Dr. Gallager. It overcomes the shortcomings of other error correcting codes and it is the nearest channel code from Shannon limit at the present discover. The decoding algorithms of ldpc code can reduce the decoding delay by the parallel decoding structure, so this has caused great concern in many fields. In recent years more and more scholars begin to study ldpc code, this makes the coding and decoding algorithms of ldpc code improved continuously. ldpc code has been widely used in many fields such as optical fiber communication, digital watermarking, underwater communication and deep space communication because of its excellent performance. Non-binary ldpc code has better performance compared with binary ldpc code. In this paper, FFT-BP decoding algorithm of non-binary ldpc code is studied, and on this basis, we proposed an improved FFT-BP algorithm. The improved decoding algorithm can effectively reduce the average iteration number. Finally, we achieved encode and decode algorithm of non-binary ldpc code with FPGA.

Design of Physical Layer Network coded ldpc code for a Multiple-Access Relaying System

In this letter we propose a novel physical layer network coded ldpc code structure, named PNC-ldpc code, for a non-orthogonal multiple access relay channel. An iterative detection-and-decoding receiver is designed to tackle the multi-user interference at the destination. Based on the code structure and the iterative receiver, we optimize the PNC-ldpc code profile to approach the system achievable rate by utilizing the extrinsic mutual information transfer (EXIT) chart. Simulations show that the performance of our PNC-ldpc code outperforms other conventional network coding based ldpc codes.
