In the work process of repeating type jammer, the transmitted signal always enters into the jammer’s receiver and make it work abnormally. An adaptive interference cancellation structure based on lms algorithm is suggested to solve this problem. However considering the wideband interference signal, we improved the structure. The focus of this essay is to utilize variable fractional delay filter to make the reference signal and interference signal aligned, thus to improve the effect of wideband signal cancellation. In addition, the structure of the variable fractional delay filter is given. Finally, the effectiveness of the adaptive cancellation in wideband interference signal by using this structure is proved through simulation.

Electrocardiogram(ECG) is an electrical signal detected by the particular device and method. It is very important to analyze and measure ECG for diagnosis of various heart diseases. However, it is often disturbed by different types of noise. In this paper, an adaptive morphological filter is presented to remove the power line interference from ECG signals, by which the drawbacks of previous morphological method are overcome. Moreover, the extraction of R peak in ECG is also feasible by this filter for further study on ECG. Due to the high speed of our method, the ECG de-nosing and R Peak extracting could be both realized at real time, which is an effective method to monitoring patients undergoing surgeries.

This paper introduces how to adopt adaptive lms algorithm to realize transverse delay filtering and IQ quadrature filtering. The performances of them are simulated in the case of strong interference. The simulation results reveal that IQ quadrature filtering is of higher stability, faster convergence rate and smaller error rate relative to transverse delay filtering.

Predistortion technology is an adaptive, low cost and potential linearization method. Proper loop-delay estimation and compensation are important preconditions for ensuring the predistorter working well. But traditional loop-delay estimation algorithms are vulnerable to the amplifier's memory and nonlinear distortion. In this paper, based on the relationship between the system loop-delay and the amplitude of predistorter error output, we propose a new loop-delay estimation algorithm which improves the algorithm estimation accuracy in memory nonlinear distortion. Simulation results show that the NMSE after the predistortion is very close to the ideal one and a good power spectral density (PSD) performance is achieved. The new algorithm realizes the predistorter and the loop-delay estimation working simultaneously that maintains the reliability and continuity of signal transmission.

This paper presents a GSC-type structure for the FIR-IFIR hybrid echo canceller and the optimum filters are defined. The measure of echo cancellation performance is presented, which is a function of the input signal correlation, of the sparseness degree and of the interpolator parameters. Furthermore, the lms algorithm for updating the filter coefficients in adaptive systems is also developed. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the new approach to this FIR-IFIR hybrid filtering problem for both white and colored input noise.

Combinations of adaptive filters have attracted attention as a simple solution to improve filter performance, including tracking properties. In this paper, we consider combinations of lms and RLS filters, and study their performance for tracking time-varying solutions. We show that a combination of two filters from the same family (i.e., two lms or two RLS filters) cannot improve the performance over that of a single filter of the same type with optimal selection of the step size (or forgetting factor). However, combining lms and RLS filters it is possible to simultaneously outperform the optimum lms and RLS filters. In other words, combination schemes can achieve smaller errors than optimally adjusted individual filters. Experimental work in a plant identification setup corroborates the validity of our results.

Through showing the implementations and major features of those algorithms, we were able to gain a better understanding of what're the dominating algorithms used by the ANC technology and both the traditional and nontraditional applications of ANC in today's market. Finally, the review also reveals the potential problem with the ANC technique and the opportunities for improvements.

A novel multi-microphone speech enhancement method with low computational complexity using the Generalized Sidelobe Canceller (GSC) structure based on lms (least mean square) algorithm is proposed under stationary noise condition. In adaptive module of the presented method, speech signals in one frame share the same weight and update simultaneously instead of calculating weights respectively. Experimental results show that, in stationary noise environment, the proposed method which employs modified lms algorithm outperforms conventional lms algorithms in noise reduction, while the computational cost is lower, compared with conventional ones.
