The paper presents video surveillance-based tracking system for the outdoor environment. The video processing has been done using both labview and matlab, and the comparisons are illustrated. In labview, self-learning and real-time moving object tracking are implemented for the surveillance of environment. In a two-dimensional color pattern matching, a self-learned template has to be located on real-time video, regardless of the template's position, color, and shape. It is done by organizing a set of feature vectors that encompass all the variations in the self-learned template. Matching is then done by determining the best similarity between the feature vectors extracted from the video image and the self-learned template set. Template learning time and elapsed time are taken as parameters for the comparison. In matlab, tracking is achieved using Camshift algorithm. The feature vectors include position, orientation, and size of the object to be tracked.

Leukemia occurs when lot of abnormal white blood cells produced by the bone marrow. Hematologist makes use of microscopic study of human blood, which leads to need of methods, including microscopic color imaging, segmentation, classification and clustering that can allow identification of patients suffering from Leukemia. The microscopic images will be inspected visually by hematologists and the process is time consuming and tiring. The automatic image processing system is urgently needed and can overcome related constraints in visual inspection. The proposed system will be on microscopic images to detect Leukemia. The early and fast identification of Leukemia greatly aids in providing the appropriate treatment. Initial segmentation is done using Statistical parameters such as mean, standard deviation which segregates white blood cells from other blood components i.e. erythrocytes and platelets. Geometrical features such as area, perimeter of the white blood cell nucleusis investigated for diagnostic prediction of Leukemia. The proposed method is successfully applied to a large number of images, showing promising results for varying image quality. Different image processing algorithms such as Image Enhancement, Thresholding, Mathematical morphology and Labelling are implemented using labview and matlab.

By analyzing the test method named orthogonal 12 points for accelerometer, there are several problems to be solved in the temperature experiments for accelerometer. In order to study the temperature characteristics of the accelerometer for better, the testing system for accelerometer based on labview is designed and the composition of the system is introduced. The microprocessor used in the temperature experiment is C8052F series microcontrollers. A 24-bit A/D converter is embedded in the microprocessor and the resolution of 0.149 microvolts can meet the accuracy requirements of the accelerometer. According to the requirements of high accuracy and test efficiency for accelerometer, the digital multi-channel testing technology is applied to realize the accurate test. The application in temperature experiments indicates that this precise and steady testing system can meet the requirement of accelerometer calibrating & testing completely.
