Adhesion measurements for electrostatic powder coatings using a vertical drop test rig and labview software

The total forces holding a layer of electrostatically charged powder onto a metal work piece results from the combination effect of an interfacial electrochemical phenomenon, an interparticle/particle cohesive force and a bulk electrostatic image attractive force. An attempt has been made to obtain the total integrated effect by subjecting the powder coating to a mechanical impulsive force parallel to the metal substrate. This is a destructive measurement which is obtained by dropping the work piece down a vertical chute which incorporates an inductive charge pick up device to measure the charge of the powder coating during free fall. The sample is brought to rest at the bottom of the chute and dislodged powder is collected in a micro balance incorporated inside a Faraday cage. The exact charge/mass ratio of dislodged powder can be obtained and the technique enables the calibration of the inductive probe. All the measurements are taken with the powder layer before fusing. labview by National Instruments is a user friendly and powerful graphical development environment used for signal acquisition, measurement analysis, and data presentation. It is a package designed to acquire, analyse and present. Data acquired from the unit under test can be fed through DAQ cards, instruments or PXI systems and connected to a PC running labview for analysis. With multiple built-in functions and libraries that cover functions such as analysing and processing and also data visualization and report generation, labview is highly useful in this application. ACQUISITION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF BOWEL SOUNDS USING labview software

Bowel sounds (BSs) are defined as the sounds when contractions of the lower intestines propel forward. It is simple, but empirical and too subjective. Auscultation is the traditional technique for determining gastrointestinal functioning. The most physicians and nurses carry out a cursory listen for BS resulting in misinterpretation. The aim and objective of this project are to design a low-cost prototype of an electronic stethoscope to acquire the BSs and analyzing its characteristics using labview software. The developed prototype is interfaced with the software, and the BSs are recorded from the epigastric region and the umbilical region. The characteristics of recorded BSs are analyzed in the labview software with the available tool like signal analysis and sound analysis. For this study, a total number of 17 subjects are included. Around 1 min BS recordings are performed on 12 healthy subjects and 5 abnormal subjects. The result showed that the BSs are recorded from the designed prototype. The frequencies of detected BS vary for each person in different areas of the abdomen. Based on the frequency of detected BS for a particular subject, the classification of BS is made into hypoactive, hyperactive and absent (no sounds).

Pneumatically controlled pick-and-place robots are an integral part of contemporary manufacturing processes and have the potential to enhance the precision and velocity of numerous production-related tasks. As automation continues to disrupt various sectors, the role of these robots is becoming increasingly crucial. Achieving peak performance in robot operations requires a relentless focus on safety and reliability. As a result, subsequence reliability should be considered carefully from the initial part of the design phase. Roboticists need to identify the dependable subsequences and parts of the robot's operational framework in prior to access the system's overall reliability. This analytical technique aids in component identification and demonstrates how to measure redundancy to ensure dependability and robustness. Based on recent theories and frameworks, the researchers can understand the factors that have more impact towards the reliability of pneumatically driven pick-and-place robots. Thus, this research work improves an exhaustive dependability analysis of a computer-controlled pneumatically operated pick-and-place robot. As part of our methodology, we use modern labview software to conduct a comprehensive failure analysis and estimate the reliability of the sequence.

An enhanced DV-Hop localization algorithm in wireless sensor networks with variable velocity strategy and human conception optimization

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are widely used for detecting objects, collecting, analyzing, and communicating information. Optimizing the estimation of sensor node positions is crucial for precise and reliable operations. The standard Distance Vector Hop (DV-Hop) localization method, while simple and practical, lacks sufficient accuracy. This article introduces an Improved Distance Vector Hop (IDV-Hop) algorithm that enhances positioning accuracy using a Variable Velocity Strategy Human Conception Optimization (VVS-HCO). This method refines the velocity update technique to improve convergence and precision without additional hardware costs. The proposed algorithm allows adjustable hop sizes for anchor nodes. Simulation results demonstrate that the IDV-Hop algorithm significantly reduces localization error and variance, improving accuracy under various conditions, outperforming other advanced algorithms.

One of the most important challenges in wireless sensor networks is the issue of localization. Furthermore, it is critical to monitor and evaluate the data gathered. With the aid of a collection of constructed nodes known as beacons, the localization technique can measure node location. For a variety of factors, such as upkeep, lifespan, and breakdown, the fixed density of these beacons may be increased or decreased. Because of its robustness, flexibility, and economic viability, a well-known technique for locating wireless sensor network nodes is the distance vector-hop (DV-Hop) algorithm. As a result, researchers continue to look for ways to develop it. Based on a proposed selective opposition class topper optimization (SOCTO), an enhanced DV-Hop localization algorithm is developed. It also focuses on an optimised formulation to compute the average hop-size with weight of beacon nodes in order to reduce the localization error within the estimated distance between the beacon and the dumb node, due to improved localization accuracy. The range-free localization algorithm in uniform multi-hop wireless sensor networks is the subject of a recent study. The results show that our proposed method outperforms the DV-Hop technique and related techniques in terms of average localization error (0.05%) versus random beacon node deployment, average localization error (0.04%) versus circular beacon node deployment, and average localization error (0.08%) versus spiral beacon node deployment.

Class Topper Optimization Based Improved Localization Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Network

Wireless Senser Network (WSN) is broadly employed in many real life applications. WSN can be applied for sensing, collecting, processing and transmission of information. The importance of optimization methods plays a key role in the consistent and realistic estimation of the position of the sensor node. This article presents for improved DV-Hop localization using Class Topper Optimization (CTO) to address the current drawback of conventional DV-Hop. In the proposed algorithm, a factor to modify the hop size of the beacon nodes is presented. It is concluded from experimental assessment that the proposed optimized algorithm plays better than alternative algorithms with similar characteristics under the influence of variable number of nodes, beacon nodes and range. The proposed algorithm is compared with conventional DV-Hop, IDV-Hop algorithm and DV-Hop-based particle swarm optimization. Simulation results show that the localization error, error variance and accuracy are minimized by the proposed localization algorithm relative to current localization techniques.

We describe modification of the available testing equipment for thermal fatigue and fatigue tests of specimens, which envisages graphic programming application for setting cyclic heating or mechanic loading modes, as well as electronic representation and fixation of test results. We present results of thermal fatigue and cyclic crack resistance tests of specimens with loading frequency of 0.016 Hz.

This paper presents the simulation and control implementation on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for a class of variable-order fractional chaotic systems by using sliding mode control strategy. Four different fractional variable-order chaotic systems via Atangana-Baleanu-Caputo fractional-order derivative were considered;Dadras, Aizawa, Thomas and 4 Wings attractors. A methodology has been developed to construct variable-order fractional chaotic systems using labview (R) software for its implementation in the National Instruments myRio-1900 (Xilinx FPGA Z-7010)(R) device. The variable-order fractional differential equations and the control law were solved using the variable-order Adams algorithm. Finally, simulation results show that FPGA provides high-speed realizations with the desired accuracy and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed sliding mode control. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. Frequency-response-controlled multiple-resonator-based harmonic analysis

This Letter proposes a modified method for the dynamic harmonic analysis of signals with non-stationary harmonics, which is based on the previously proposed multiple-resonator observer structure. An optimisation technique is applied to reshape frequency responses of the basic transfer functions. This method, by using a parallel structure with common feedback, is very robust and, in addition, allows a reduction of the computational burden. The proposed method has been investigated for up to 64 harmonics, using labview software package, under different conditions, and confirmed to be valuable and efficient tool for signal components estimation.

A three-dimensional wireless sensor network with an improved localization algorithm based on orthogonal learning class topper optimization

Numerous sensor network applications require accurate and rapid localization of randomly deployed sensor nodes. For wireless sensor network (WSN) localization, optimization methods can provide specific and reliable position estimates of a sensor node. The fixed density of beacons may be increase or decrease owing to various reasons, such as upkeep, lifespan, and breakdown. Because of its robustness, flexibility, and economic viability, the distance vector-hop (DV-Hop) algorithm is used to locate WSN nodes. Because of its high precision and fast computing speed, class topper optimization (CTO) is suitable to solve localization problems. This study proposes an orthogonal learning CTO-based DV-Hop localization algorithm for three-dimensional WSNs. Moreover, this study used a refined formula to calculate the minimum hop size of beacon nodes for reducing localization errors (LEs) in the approximated distance between the beacon and dumb nodes. Results revealed that our proposed method outperformed some existing algorithms in terms of reducing LEs (0.6%) and localization error variance (0.3%) and enhancing localization accuracy (0.4%) and coverage (0.7%).
