Recently,gender equality and women’s entrepreneurship have gained considerable attention in global economic *** to the design of any policy interventions to increase women’s entrepreneurship,it is signiﬁcant to comprehend the factors motivating women to become *** non-understanding of the factors can result in the endurance of low living stan-dards and the design of expensive and ineffectual *** female involve-ment in entrepreneurship becomes higher in developing economies compared to developed *** Entrepreneurship Index(WEI)plays a vital role in determining the factors that enable theﬂourishment of high potential female entrepreneurs which enhances economic welfare and contributes to the economic and social fabric of ***,it is needed to design an automated and accurate WEI prediction model to improve women’s *** this view,this article develops an automated statistical analysis enabled WEI predic-tive(ASA-WEIP)*** proposed ASA-WEIP technique aims to effectually determine the *** proposed ASA-WEIP technique encompasses a series of sub-processes such as pre-processing,WEI prediction,and parameter *** the prediction of WEI,the ASA-WEIP technique makes use of the Deep Belief Network(DBN)model,and the parameter optimization process takes place using Squirrel Search Algorithm(SSA).The performance validation of the ASA-WEIP technique was executed using the benchmark dataset from the Kaggle *** experimental outcomes stated the better outcomes of the ASA-WEIP technique over the other existing techniques.

Scholars have long discussed the value of human resource management (HRM) led professional learning and development in nurturing human capital for increased competitive advantage. Recently, this has become challenging due to the emergence of increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) environments and global skills shortages. Such pressures pose new questions for HR departments regarding their recruitment and selection, training and development and retention of new talent. Organisations need employees who are work ready. Graduate work readiness (GWR) encompasses attributes that enable individuals to successfully contribute to their workplaces. Despite the relevance of graduate work readiness to HRM practice, research on this topic has been disconnected from the HRM literature. We posit that greater awareness of the concept of graduate work readiness will have important implications for HRM. We use a systematic literature review methodology to examine graduate work readiness strategically and operationally in the talent management of graduating professionals. The novelty of the article is in the development of a conceptual framework underpinned by stakeholder theory to guide HRM professionals to enhance graduate work readiness outcomes. We raise important implications for theory-led research on the integration of graduate work readiness and HRM in the Asia-Pacific region.

There is an increasing recognition among organizations that investment in learning and development interventions is necessary for a sustained improvement in organizational performance and excellence. E-learning is becoming a popular delivery method across public sector organizations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Organizations often consider developing the skills and knowledge of their employees by using advanced technologies and approaches. The present study aims to examine factors affecting E-learning implementation among public sector organizations in the UAE. The review shows that the use of E-learning has spread among organizations faster than any other method, particularly within the public sector organizations of the UAE. Therefore, this research aims to shed light on the current status of E-learning implementation in the public sector organizations in the UAE. Moreover, the study explores different E-learning technologies and approaches that are used in organizations. It also addresses the advantages and disadvantages of using E-learning. In addition, it examines the barriers and challenges of using E-learning methods in organizations and offers several recommendations to develop strategies and to improve policy and practice of E-learning.

Reviewing the 3C's of blended learning for police education: assessing capacity, building capability, and conquering challenges

Police education and training, in common with education at all levels, was seriously affected by the onset of lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Police organisations in England and Wales sought to cope by moving training and education programmes online, almost overnight. This paper presents findings from interviews conducted with learning and development leaders in 17 police forces in England and Wales to gauge the capacity of organizations to provide blended learning (BL) in the pre COVID period and plans for the future. Findings indicated that although there are challenges, the appetite and capacity to adopt BL methods in forces range on a spectrum. The paper and makes recommendations to support the rollout and use of BL in police education generally and proposes a theory of change to assist the introduction of BL in police organisations.

Montreal is home to over 100 companies and 6 universities with photonics activities that drive regional economic development. This paper provides an update on the Montreal Photonics Networking Event, an annual meeting heading into its' 8th edition in 2024. The event's stated mission is to build a collaborative environment for the development of student researchers, with the ambition to facilitate research synergies and connect with the industry to showcase research and career opportunities. Since 2015, online and in-person events have taken place, with a measured growth of 50% year-on-year, a cumulative reach of 600 participants, and the establishment of 30 partnerships with industry, photonics student chapters, research clusters, and socio-economic development partners. The event is coordinated by a network of volunteer students and professionals representative of the attendees and collaborators. Activities, promotional material, and marketing strategies to create audience engagement before, during, and after the event will be presented, along with lessons learned to enable peer-to-peer development online and in person across multiple academic research institutions.

The systematic review paper examines the relationship between artificial intelligence and human resource development in organisations. The study aims to understand AI's symbiotic role in improving HRD functions like training and development, organisational development, career development, performance management, and workforce planning in the last two decades. It highlights how AI revolutionises HRD, including performance management, learning and development, and workforce planning. The paper also covers the role HRD plays in facilitating AI adoption. This paper closes the gap between AI and HRD by highlighting the benefits of this symbiotic relationship. The work poses crucial research questions to guide future investigations. The questions cover how HRD is essential for ensuring the smooth adoption of AI to boost human capital by focusing on HRD and how AI can strengthen HRD by improving critical functions. By employing HRD practices to improve AI adoption and AI to improve HRD function, this research aims to increase our understanding of how AI and HRD need to work together in synergy.

Out of 121 crore population in India, 2.68 crore were found with disabilities whereas 19% constitutes hearing impairment. This impairment hampers their physical, social, and mental development. Their linguistic isolation leads to social isolation and educational needs remain unaddressed. The adoption of tech among DHH learners is increasing as smartphone apps are catering to their needs, yet they may not address issues effectively. A deaf learner requires an interpreter to communicate who translate the complex spoken language into signs for their understanding. Some speech-to-text apps allow communication between deaf and non-deaf person but many of them are not geared toward deaf people especially prelingually deaf. Therefore, the need for an interpreter service has been identified that connects interpreters to the DHH and non-DHH;where one can hire an interpreter to get communication support in any educational or non-educational event. The study goal is to assess the usability of an app-based solution titled "Be a Buddy" that connects DHH, non-DHH, and interpreter so that communication becomes barrier free. DHH learners found the solution helpful and ease to use when tested with a paper prototype.

Currently, the organization of remote learning in physical education based on the latest possibilities of information technology in higher education institutions is heuristic. The purpose of the work is the development and approval of the model of the use of information technology for the implementation of the remote educational process in physical education in institutions of higher technical education. The "learning and development" (abbreviated "L&D") model, formed in business structures to ensure professional development, was taken as the basis of the model for the use of information technology. According to the L&D model, an action algorithm with four components was proposed. The first is the creation of a strategy for the use of information technology for effective remote learning in physical education. The second is to ensure the information competence of students and teachers for conducting online classes. The third is the creation of conditions for the individualization of remote learning. The fourth is to ensure reliable and objective monitoring of remote classes. The components and implementation conditions of each component were examined in detail and their approval was carried out. The L&D model of information technology use allows to create a system of information and technological support for the remote educational process in physical education and to increase the level of student satisfaction with the remote form of learning.

Impact of training and development interventions for diversity & inclusion: proposing an organizational schema

Purpose: Transformation and involvement from every organizational function are essential in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. The paper explores the role of training and development (T&D) interventions in building a diverse and inclusive workplace. Design/methodology/approach: Through the review of existing research studies, the authors report and discuss how T&D function supports fostering a diversity and inclusion (D&I) mindset in the workplace and propose an organizational schema that facilitates the systematic design and implementation of T&D interventions for D&I. Findings: Based on the literature an organizational schema was developed which indicated that to foster a D&I mindset in the workplace, it is important that diversity training is designed after considering established diversity theories. Further diversity training can be conducted in two phases, where phase 1 would focus on awareness training and phase 2 on skill training. This would lead to an increase in employee competency development including knowledge, skills, behavior, and a positive attitude toward a D&I mindset. Practical implications: HR and training managers can benefit from the paper indicating that for achieving effective results from diversity training, it must draw insights from established diversity theories. Through the organizational schema discussed in the paper, organizations can minimize the negative attitude and behavior that emerge from social categorization with the help of systematic T&D where employees are made self-aware of their prejudice and discrimination and further equipped with relevant skills to manage diversity. Social implications: A positive mindset incorporated by employees at a workplace with reference to Diversity & Inclusion through structured D& I training can percolate beneficially to the society as a whole.
