The infraction of employee is one of the most important factors which influences the reputation and sustainable development of an enterprise. According to the relation among all the factors, we draw a conclusion in this paper that the information factor is the most important one which causes the infraction of the knowledge worker This paper presents the essential thinking and the incentive mechanism on the problem. Also it builds up a linear programming model, gives an optimal incentive mechanism.

Nowadays, analyzing large amount of data is of paramount importance for many companies. Big data and business intelligence applications are facilitated by the MapReduce programming model while, at infrastructural layer, cloud computing provides flexible and cost effective solutions for allocating on demand large clusters. Capacity allocation in such systems is a key challenge to providing performance for MapReduce jobs and minimize cloud resource cost. The contribution of this paper is twofold: (i) we formulate a linear programming model able to minimize cloud resources cost and job rejection penalties for the execution of jobs of multiple classes with (soft) deadline guarantees, (ii) we provide new upper and lower bounds for MapReduce job execution time in shared Hadoop clusters. Moreover, our solutions are validated by a large set of experiments. We demonstrate that our method is able to determine the global optimal solution for systems including up to 1000 user classes in less than 0.5 seconds. Moreover, the execution time of MapReduce jobs are within 19% of our upper bounds on average.

In this paper, a new approach with a parameter is developed to obtain priority weights, and some prosperities of the new approach are explored. Furthermore, a new concept of additive consistent interval fuzzy preference relation is extended and some models for generating priority from the additive consistent or inconsistent interval fuzzy preference relation are built. Finally, two numerical examples are examined, and the comparison between the proposed approach and the methods of Xu and Chen is also made.

The berth allocation problem (BAP) in marine container terminals is defined as the feasible berth allocation to the incoming vessels. In this work, we develop a model of fully fuzzy linear programming (FFLP) for the continuous and dynamic BAP. The vessel arrival times are assumed to be imprecise, meaning that the vessel can be late or early up to a threshold permitted. Triangular fuzzy numbers represent the uncertainty of the arrivals. The model proposed has been implemented in CPLEX and evaluated for different instances. The results obtained show that the model proposed is helpful to the administrators of a marine container terminal, since a plan supporting imprecision in the arrival time of vessels, optimized with respect to the waiting time and easily adaptable to possible incidents and delays, is available to them.

Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets generalize the concept of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and are well suited to dealing with vagueness. This article investigates multi-attribute decision making problems in which all the information provided by the decision makers is expressed as interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrices where each of the elements is characterized by interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy number. Information about attribute weights is partially known and may be constructed by various forms. Several optimization models are presented to generate optimal weights for attributes, and the corresponding decision-making methods have also been developed. Feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed methods are illustrated with an example of investment decision problem.

Building on the extensive theoretical and empirical work regarding the cost-minimizing properties of economic instruments, this article describes and analyses the Mexican legislation relevant to the treatment/disposal of pig slurry in the state of Yucatan. Using a linear programming model to determine the optimal level of pig production and abatement processes simultaneously, different policy instruments and scenarios are compared. Serious shortcomings associated with the recently introduced command-and-control (CAC) legislation, which establishes concentration-based standards for discharges, are identified. It is shown that it will be extremely difficult and expensive to comply with (cost: US$41.8 million per annum). An alternative mass-based CAC approach, which instead regulates nitrogen applications to land, has compliance costs of US$3.5-US$9.4 million per annum, depending on the strictness of the standard. By contrast, an environmentally equivalent economic instrument approach results in additional cost savings of 22-25 per cent. The results are of relevance to Mexican policy makers, extensionists, researchers, and farmers.

We present a mathematical model to optimize onchip memory configurations for minimal power consumption. Splitting memory into sub-units and mapping frequently accessed addresses to small memories reduces power consumption. We have defined an integer linear programming model to solve the combined problem of finding an optimal selection of memory instances and an optimal mapping of application segments. Yielding power reductions of up to 82% for instruction memory and 73% for data memory, makes the model a valuable tool for system synthesis.

Modeling, simulation and analysis of a securities settlement system: The case of Central Securities Depository of Mexico

The Instituto para el Depósito de Valores (INDEVAL) is the Central Securities Depository of Mexico. It is the only Mexican institution authorized to perform, in an integrated manner, the activities of safe-keeping, custody, management, clearing, settlement and transfer of securities. In this article, we report the modeling, simulation and analysis of a new Securities Settlement System (SSS) implemented by INDEVAL, as part of a project for the implementation of a safer and more efficient operating system. The main objective of this research was to use reduced amounts of cash and securities, within reasonable periods of time, for the settlement of securities of the Mexican market. A linear programming model for the netting and clearing of operations was used. The performance of the new SSS was evaluated by performing experiments using a deterministic simulation model under different operation parameters, such as the number and monetary value of transactions, the time between clearing cycles and also under a new set of rules for pre-settlement operations. The results presented may be used by other Central Securities Depositories to make decisions related to the efficient and safer use of their resources. The implementation of the model took more than three years. Now many transactions that would remain pending if processed individually are settled together, thus reducing liquidity requirements dramatically -by 52% in cash and 26% in securities. © 2012 Universidad ESAN.
