Improved Wireless Sensor Location algorithm Based on Combined Particle Swarm-Quasi-Newton with Threshold N

this paper drills down and systematically analyzes the improved DV-Hop algorithm about the origin of its position errors. A new method is hereby given for modifying such position errors. Beyond that, the particle swarm-quasi-Newton algorithm is improved, intercepting the combined DVHop location algorithm according to the number of known nodes which has been defined by a threshold N. The coordinate of unknown nodes is calculated and analyzed by the combined particle swarm-quasi-Newton algorithm. Then this paper makes a validation analysis on the results by the way of emulation. The results show that the improved algorithm is relatively superior with high precision and lower position error than improved DV-Hop as intercepted.

In order to avoid the occurrence of food safety events, improve the food safety management level, the corresponding food safety information platform is constructed based on Internet of things. Firstly, the basic theory of Internet of things is analyzed; Secondly, the basic function of food safety information platform based on Internet of things are discussed; Thirdly, Hardware design of food safety management system; then the localization algorithm procession of food safety management system is studied; finally, the application situation of food safety information platform, results show that the food safety information platform is an effective means for food safety management.

An Enhanced Distance Vector-Hop algorithm using New Weighted Location Method for Wireless Sensor Networks

Location is an indispensable segment for Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), since when events happened, we need to know location. The distance vector-hop (DV-Hop) technique is a popular range-free localization algorithm due to its cost efficiency and non-intricate process. Nevertheless, it suffers from poor accuracy, and it is highly influenced by network topology;Especially, more hop counts lead to more errors. In the final phase, least squares are employed to address nonlinear equation, which will gain greater location errors. Aimed at addressing problems mentioned above, an enhanced DV-Hop algorithm based on weighted factor, along with new weighted least squares location technique, is proposed in this paper, and it is called WND-DV-Hop. First, the one hop count of unknown node was corrected by employed received signal strength indication (RSSI) technology. Next, in order to reduce average hop distance error, a weighted coefficient based on beacon node hop count was constructed. A new weighted least squares method was embedded to solve nonlinear equation problem. Finally, considerable experiments were carried out to estimate the performance of WND-DV-Hop, compared the outcomes with state-of-the-art DV-Hop, IDV-Hop, Checkout-DV-Hop, and New-DV-Hop depicted in literature. The empirical findings demonstrated that WND-DV-Hop significantly outperformed other localization algorithms.

In this paper a node localization algorithm for estimating unknown node positions in wireless sensor networks is presented. The proposed algorithm is based on the distributed clustering of anchor-free nodes. In the absence of anchor nodes, clusters of these sensors are formed and relevant angular and distance measurements are taken. This is followed by two phases of nodes synchronization, in which gradual adjustments of orientation and coordinates are performed utilizing a technique similar to the time synchronization. As the final synchronization process converges, clusters coordinates are merged into a unified global coordinate system, thus completing the node localization task. Experiments show that, in the case of randomly distributed nodes, the proposed algorithm achieves good performance in the areas of improved network coverage, minimized positioning error rate, and reduced communication overhead. Data show an improvement of 51.3% in network coverage in comparison to other industry-leading clustering algorithms. In addition, when the network node density is greater than 0.9, positioning error rate is reduced by an average of 22.3%.

Tracking complex human body 3D gestures to realize human-computer interfaces is possible using the proposed localization system. It is composed of a number of low-cost 3D remote position sensors and of a set of beacons that emit a sequence of ultra-acoustic pulses in the space region containing the position sensors. When impinged by the acoustic wavefronts, each sensor sends back a signal to a central unit through a suitable transmission channel. The central unit, knowing the positions of the acoustic beacons and the time of arrival of the sensor signals, computes the positions of the sensors, identifying and discarding possible false signals due to echoes and environmental noise. In a first prototype implementation, four coplanar beacons, actually earphones, are placed at the corners of a PC screen, and are forced to emit pulses in the 20 - 40 kHz band. Each sensor is equipped with a wideband miniature microphone, which is wired to an acquisition board. All the computation, including signal filtering, time of arrival detection, localization and results display, is carried out by a notebook PC at 25 Hz.

During the multi-station direction finding cross positioning, instable or divergent positioning evaluation result, even invalid situation will occur caused by unreasonable sensor allocation, and analyzes the causes of ill-condition in traditional localization algorithm Therefore, this paper puts forward a kind of stable positioning method based on singular value decomposition modification. The method doesn't require the station allocation greatly and could consider the resolution and variance assessed by positioning parameter effectively. It realizes effective inhibition to the random observation noise in the observation equation and has better engineering application value. The value simulation result indicates the positioning result is more precise and stable than traditional calculating method.

Touchless human-computer interfaces are possible using wireless position sensors with sufficient positioning accuracy. The proposed locating system is composed of a set of beacons that emit a sequence of ultra-acoustic pulses in the space region containing a number of wireless position sensors. The prototype has four coplanar beacons, placed at the corners of a PC screen, which are forced to emit chirp signals in the 20-48 kHz band. Each battery-supplied sensor is equipped with a wideband miniature microphone, a conditioning circuitry and an infrared transmitter. When impinged by the sequence of acoustic wavefronts, each sensor sends back a signal to a central unit through an infrared optical transmission channel. The central unit preprocesses the received signals using the correlation technique, and obtains the times of arrival of the sensors' signals. Knowing the position of the acoustic beacons, the central unit computes the coordinates of the sensors, identifying and discarding possible false signals due to echoes and environmental noise. All the computations, including signal filtering, time of arrival detection, localization and results display, are carried out by a notebook PC at 25 Hz.

Due to the highly hostile and unpredictable underwater environments,some beacon nodes in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks（UWSNs）tend to move or be ***,the unknown nodes will be positioned with larger error,which abases the value of data collected by sensor *** order to solve the beacon error problem,this paper proposes an error beacon filtering algorithm based on K-means ***,the position of each beacon is calculated by an improved trilateration method,and then the beacon with the maximum positioning error is filtered out through K-means clustering *** results suggest that this algorithm can detect almost all error beacons effectively.

High accuracy, low computational cost and infrequent information exchange are three basic requirements for distributed localization algorithm in sensor networks. In this paper, we first propose an optimized triangulation heuristics to locate neighbor nodes in an optimal sequence such that the probability of wrong location selection can be minimized and localization accuracy can be improved to certain extent. Next, the available distributed localization algorithm is improved by introducing Confidence Index, a metric which helps set up the best shortest path for locating remote sensor nodes. Simulation results show that the method can give satisfactory performance without excessive computational and communication costs.
