On topological indices and entropy measures of beryllonitrene network via logarithmic regression model

Chemical graph theory, a subfield of graph theory, is used to investigate chemical substances and their characteristics. Chemical graph analysis sheds light on the connection, symmetry, and reactivity of molecules. It supports chemical property prediction, research of molecular reactions, drug development, and understanding of molecular networks. A crucial part of computational chemistry is chemical graph theory, which helps researchers analyze and manipulate chemical structures using graph algorithms and mathematical models. Beryllonitrene , a compound of interest due to its potential applications in various fields, is examined through the lens of graph theory and mathematical modeling. The study involves the calculation and interpretation of topological indices and graph entropy measures, which provide valuable insights into the structural and energetic properties of Beryllonitrene's molecular graph. logarithmic regression models are employed to establish correlations between these indices, entropy, and other relevant molecular attributes. The results contribute to a deeper understanding of Beryllonitrene's complex characteristics, facilitating its potential applications in diverse scientific and technological domains. The HP TiO2 model, as it is well known, is the most widely used physical model of memristor. However, deriving a mathematical model that fully characterizes the HP TiO2 memristor is a challenging task. As a result, simplified models such as the nonlinear quadratic model and the cubic memristor model are utilized in theoretic quantitative analysis of memristor circuits. These models result in unsatisfactory performance for many applications. To mitigate this problem, this paper proposes a new nonlinear logarithmic model to characterize memristor. Additionally, a memristor emulator circuit is developed. Finally, the relationships among the HP TiO2 memristor, the logarithmic model, and the emulator are thoroughly discussed.

Fine Identification of Landslide Acceleration Phase Using Time Logarithm Prediction Method Based on Arc Synthetic Aperture Radar Monitoring Data

In the field of slope landslide prevention and monitoring in open-pit mines, addressing the lag issues associated with the traditional GNSS inverse-velocity method, this study introduces a novel strategy that integrates high-spatiotemporal-resolution monitoring data from ArcSAR with a time log model for prediction. The key findings include the following: (1) This strategy utilizes the normal distribution characteristics of deformation velocities to set confidence intervals, accurately identifying the starting point of accelerated deformation. (2) Coupled with coordinate transformation, the time logarithm prediction method was constructed, unifying the units of measurement and resolving convergence issues in data fitting. (3) Empirical research conducted at the Kambove open-pit mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo demonstrates that this method successfully predicts landslide times four hours in advance, with an error margin of only 0.18 h. This innovation offers robust technical support for slope landslide prevention and control in open-pit mines, enhancing safety standards and mitigating disaster losses.

This paper introduces a novel logarithmic beta generated family of distributions, designed specifically for the nuanced analysis of medical data. Through meticulous development, we have establish a comprehensive suite of distributional properties, including quantiles, moments, and hazard rate functions. Central to our contributions is the exploration of the power function distribution, a pivotal sub -model within this innovative family, demonstrating unparalleled flexibility across a broad spectrum of data types. Our investigation delves into seven prominent parameter estimation techniques, rigorously assessing their efficacy through both simulation studies and real-life medical datasets. This comparative analysis highlights the superior performance of the proposed model against existing standards, particularly through improved goodness-of-fit measures across four distinct medical science lifetime datasets. The findings highlight the new model ' s dominance in capturing complex data patterns, attributable to its adaptable density and hazard rate functions. These attributes significantly enhance modeling capabilities, paving the way for more precise and reliable medical research outcomes. The study concludes by emphasizing the model ' s potential in advancing statistical methodologies for medical science, backed by theoretical and empirical validations of its superior performance and versatility.

In this paper, a generalized population model with delays and harvesting term is studied, which includes some well-known models, such as Gilpin-Ayala competitive model and logarithmic model. By a suitable Lyapunov function and the Banach fixed point theorem, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of globally attractive pseudo almost periodic solution of the model and prove its permanence. Some examples and numerical simulations are given to illustrate the feasibility and usefulness of the model and results.

Dosimetry in cranial photobiomodulation therapy: effect of cranial thickness and bone density

This research aims to examine the influence of human skull bone thickness and density on light penetration in PBM therapy across different wavelengths, focusing on how these bone characteristics affect the absorption of therapeutic light. Analyses explored the effect of skull bone density and thickness on light penetration in PBM, specifically using Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for efficacy prediction. Measurements of bone thickness and density were taken using precise tools. This approach emphasizes LLLT's significance in enhancing PBM outcomes by assessing how bone characteristics influence light penetration. The study revealed no significant correlation between skull bone density and thickness and light penetration capability in photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy, challenging initial expectations. Wavelengths of 405 nm and 665 nm showed stronger correlations with bone density, suggesting a significant yet weak impact. Conversely, wavelengths of 532 nm, 785 nm, 810 nm, 830 nm, 980 nm, and 1064 nm showed low correlations, indicating minimal impact from bone density variations. However, data variability (R2 < 0.4) suggests that neither density nor thickness robustly predicts light power traversing the bone, indicating penetration capability might be more influenced by bone thickness at certain wavelengths. The study finds that the effectiveness of photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy with bone isn't just based on bone density and thickness but involves a complex interplay of factors. These include the bone's chemical and mineral composition, light's wavelength and energy dose, treatment duration and frequency, and the precise location where light is applied on the skull.

This paper reports a MEMS gravimeter that has been working continuously over 500 days, which demonstrates the long-term drift properties of MEMS gravimeters for the first time. The results reveal that the long-term drift features a logarithmic model, which seriously conflicts with the linear model widely used for removing drift in relative gravimeters. In addition, the proposed MEMS gravimeter exhibits an ultra-low self-noise floor of less than 1 mu Gal/root Hz, comparable to commercial quartz spring gravimeters. This work represents a crucial progress that promotes MEMS gravimeters from laboratory research towards engineering applications.

We introduce time-inhomogeneous stochastic volatility models, in which the volatility is described by a nonnegative function of a Volterra type continuous Gaussian process that may have very rough sample paths. The main results obtained in the paper are sample path and small-noise large deviation principles for the log-price process in a time-inhomogeneous super rough Gaussian model under very mild restrictions. We use these results to study the asymptotic behavior of binary barrier options, exit time probability functions, and call options. (C) 2021 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

This study presents an innovative model that utilizes a newly developed logarithmic transformation method for the examination of data obtained from lifetime studies in the fields of medicine and engineering. Several fundamental distributional features are established, such as reliability measures, quantiles, moments, probability moments, and order statistics. The primary emphasis is directed towards the power function distribution, which functions as a sub-model within the newly introduced logarithmic transformation. Diverse forms of the recently developed density and hazard rate functions are explored, demonstrating their applicability in modeling an extensive range of data. The study explores and analyzes several entropy measures, specifically Re ' nyi, Havrda and Charvat, Awad et al.*, Awad et al., Arimoto, and Tsallis. A comprehensive examination of these measures is provided, accompanied by numerical findings that allow for an evaluation of their respective characteristics. Additionally, risk indicators, including value at risk, tail value at risk, tail variance, and tail variance premium, are investigated. To obtain estimates for the parameters of the proposed model, seven established classical estimating methods are analyzed, and their effectiveness is evaluated in terms of absolute bias, mean squared error, and mean relative error. Ultimately, the novel model is implemented on three distinct lifespan datasets sourced from the domains of medical science and engineering. To assess its efficacy, a comparative analysis of its performance versus many established models is conducted, utilizing goodness-of-fit criteria as the basis for evaluation. The findings of the study suggest that the proposed model exhibits superior performance in terms of fit compared to the other models examined.

Correcting the Saturation Effect in DMSP/OLS Stable Nighttime Light Products Based on Radiance-Calibrated Data

Nighttime light (NTL) products have become emerging instruments for studying human activity patterns in various applications, including demarcating urban areas, estimating the residential population, and monitoring the economic livelihood of cities. However, the deployment of such products, particularly the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP)/Operational Line Scan (OLS) stable NTL data, is also subject to issues of data quality and methodological biases, including interannual inconsistency, saturation and blooming effect, and, in particular, the saturation problem, posing a challenge for further applications. This study proposed a novel saturation correction method based on regression model and radiance-calibrated NTL data (SARMRC) to correct the saturation effect in annual stable NTL data. The proposed method was applied to mainland China. The results show that SARMRC can effectively recover the light intensity distribution within the saturated areas of the stable NTL data. The corrected images were proven to be more spatially consistent with the reference National Polar-orbiting Partnership (NPP)/Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) data and can better reflect the temporal development of cities compared to existing saturation correction methods (e.g., the index-based vegetation adjusted NTL urban index (VANUI) method and the interpolation method). The superior performance of SARMRC can be attributed to: 1) better utilization of both radiance-calibrated and stable NTL products and 2) the employment of training pixel selection and logarithmic model as well as double-year adjustment. The new method is expected to improve the data quality of DMSP/OLS stable NTL data for analyzing both local and regional socioeconomic activities.
