By arranging fluorophores in a directional way on a 2D DNA nanosheet that transfers energy from the initial donor to the acceptor through homogeneous Forster resonance energy transfer (homo-FRET), it is found that the photonic wires (PWs) based on cascade long-range resonance energy transfer (LrRET) up to 15.6 nm can be effectively achieved through the rational selection of the fluorophores and the adjustment of their position with different distance. Then, logic control of directional energy transfer is achieved with the blocking of the energy transfer pathway, making two tumor-associated microRNA (miRNA) inputs produce an obvious output with the association of tumor diagnosis only when they present simultaneously. This research provides a new thought for development of PWs on 2D DNA nanosheets and a smart application of LrRET-based DNA AND logic control of intracellular miRNA imaging and tumor cells recognition.

A new trend in the building automation field is to utilize more intelligent operations and distributed control based on the multi-agent system paradigm. Under the distributed architecture, the logic control problem, such as If-ELSE or sequence control, changes to a complicated distributed cooperative problem. However, rare investigation focuses on the basic logic control problem that is a premise for system implementation, and most studies focus more on distributed optimization problems. Thus, on basis of the analysis of the configuration and programming paradigm for the distributed control system, a self-organization method for logic control is proposed based on the Semi-tensor product, which can realize the plug-and-play of the controller. The detailed implementation process of the proposed method is demonstrated through simulation and experiment. The result indicates that the proposed method can effectively realize the selforganization generation of control logic. The contribution of this study is to introduce the Semi-tensor product to solve self-organizing problems for logic control in the distributed building automation system, which is essentially a matrix operation and makes calculations easier.

The Calais canal is located in the north of the France. It is used for navigation but mainly to discharge the excess water volumes that are issued from the Wateringues. The Wateringues are lowlands in maritime plains below high sea level (polders). The water in excess in the Wateringues are pumped to the canal, routed to the sea outlet and then discharged by gates during low tide and by outlet pumps during high tide. The management of the Calais canal is based on a logic control (LC) based regulation. It consists in keeping its water close to an objective by discharging water in excess to the sea and by limiting the use of outlet pumps. This management mode can be compared to more elaborate methods coming from the Automatic control domain This paper aims at presenting the current state of a simulation tool dedicated to the design of these control methods. The simulation tool aims at reproducing the dynamics of the Calais canal keeping the required properties for the design of control methods. The proposed simulation tool implements the LC approach allowing to better understand the management rules, to replay scenarios and in a close future to compare these methods with more elaborate control approaches. With the rising popularity of engaging storytelling experiences in gaming arises the challenge of designing logic control mechanisms that can adapt to increasingly interactive, immersive, and dynamic 3D gaming environments. Currently, branching story structures are a popular choice for game narratives, but can be rigid, and authoring mistakes may result in dead ends at runtime. This calls for automated tools and algorithms for logic control over flexible story graph structures that can check and maintain authoring logic at a reduced cost while managing user interactions at runtime. In this work we introduce a graph traversal method for logic control over branching story structures which allow embedded plot lines. The mechanisms are designed to assist the author in specifying global authorial goals, evaluating the sequence of events, and automatically managing story logic during runtime. Furthermore, we show how our method can be easily linked to 3D interactive game environments through a simple example involving a detective story with a flashback.

Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT) technology greatly affects the transformation efficiency of a photovoltaic *** precision and response speed requirements cannot be satisfied simultaneously using conventional perturbations and observational methods with fixed *** this paper,a duty-cycle-based logic control algorithm for stand-alone PV systems was proposed according to the MPPT evaluation *** the duty cycle of the PWM signal to track the maximum power point can be achieved by regulating the input-output relation of the *** comparing the power at the current moment with the previous moment,the variation tendency of the duty cycle D can be *** this method,the duty cycle D is adopted as a controlling parameter,and only one control cycle is required,significantly reducing the controller *** a photovoltaic array YF-M20 as an example,simulations were performed under varying light conditions,and the results indicate that the proposed method can accurately track the maximum power point of the photovoltaic system and quickly respond to changing environmental variations.

Significant power consumption can be incurred during the switching process for the SAR ADC. Hence, a novel approach of a merge-split switching technique is proposed by integrating three reference voltages. This integration yields a significant reduction in capacitance. Furthermore, refinements are introduced to the logic control unit, resulting in a notable reduction in the switching duration. This power consumption during switching further diminishes the capacitance load on the capacitor array. A specialized switch mechanism is augmented by incorporating three distinct reference voltages, thereby diversifying the voltage modalities employed to regulate the temporal aspects of merge-split switching. The simulated DNL is 1.286/-0.746 LSB, and the INL is 1.413/-1.222 LSB. Under the sampling frequency Fs of 4MHz at Fin of 0.496MHz, the simulated dynamic performances of SNDR and SFDR are 54.874dB and 66.04dB, respectively. The ENOB is 8.93 bits, and the FoM is 2.01 (fJ/conv.-step).

Deep neural networks (DNN) are mainly black boxes, generally suffering from bad interpretability of their behavior and the results obtained. Hence, a human can not easily derive the relations modeled by the network. A reasonable way to provide interpretability for humans are logical rules. In this paper we propose neural logic rule layers (NLRL), which are able to represent arbitrary logic rules in terms of their conjunctive and disjunctive normal forms. Stacking various layers, we are theoretically able to represent arbitrary complex rules by the resulting neural network architecture. The NLRL are end-to-end trainable allowing to learn logic rules directly on the given data without needing any background information about the origin. We show in experiments, that NLRL-enhanced neural networks can model arithmetic and logical operations over the input values. Furthermore, we apply NLRL to image classification tasks and show that interpretability is provided without sacrificing classification performance by exchanging the fully-connected head of the network. We also apply NLRL to a real world industrial control problem where the task is to model the discrete control behaviour of a programmable logic controller (PLC), following a basic step sequence.(c) 2022 Elsevier Inc. Is DNA repair controlled by a biological logic circuit?

The possible utilization of biological logic circuit(s) in the integration and regulation of DNA repair is discussed. The author believes this mode of regulation likely applies to many other areas of cell biology;however, there are currently more experimental data to support its involvement in the control of DNA repair. Sequential logic processes always require a clock to orchestrate the orderly processing of events. In the proposed hypothesis, the pulses in the expression of p53 serve this function. Given the many advantages of logic type control, one would expect that in the course of similar to 3 billion years of evolution, where single cell life forms were likely the only forms of life, a biological logic type control system would have evolved to control at least some biological processes. Several other required components in addition to the 'clock' have been identified, such as;a method to temporarily inactivate repair processes when they are not required (e.g. the reversible inactivation of MGMT, a suicide repair protein, by phosphorylation);this prevents complex DNA repair systems with potentially overlapping repair functions from interfering with each other.
