This paper describes the simulation by matlab in the course of signals and systems. matlab's rich and powerful functions provide various methods to analyze the signals and systems, including both continuous and discrete situations. Some methods can simplify the complicated calculation;some finish the same functions in accordance with the mathematical processing;and some can save operation time via efficient algorithms. That is to say, matlab can be used at different levels to help students solve problems quickly and efficiently, or help them understand the signal processing procedures deeply and in detail, even apply their knowledge on data structure to develop some new algorithms. matlab helps to make the boring theoretical study less abstract and more vivid and has become an important auxiliary teaching method being used widely.

This paper presents a new kind of recurrent neural network proposed by Zhang et al. for solving online Lyapunov equation with time-varying coefficient matrices. Global exponential convergence could be achieved by such a recurrent neural network when solving the time-varying problems in comparison with gradient neural networks (GNN). matlab simulation of both neural networks for the real-time solution of time-varying Lyapunov equation is then investigated through several important techniques. Computer-simulation results substantiate the theoretical analysis and demonstrate the efficacy of such a Zhang neural network (ZNN) on time-varying Lyapunov equation solving, especially when using power-sigmoid activation functions.

The paper deals with the methods of simulation of signal propagation on transmission lines when skin effect is taken into account. Such simulations are useful when solving signal integrity issues in todays high-speed electronic circuits where interconnects play an important role. On conditions of continuing increase of the frequency of signals to be transferred, the real interconnects are modelled as transmission lines. Then, in case of sufficiently high frequency band, additional losses caused mostly by a skin effect exist. Two basic approaches can be considered for the simulation, based on either the Laplace-domain or time-domain formulations of fractional telegraph equations, and both accompanied by proper numerical techniques. The methods are intended to be utilized for both research and education, while respective matlab language programs can be utilized for PC exercises. The educational aspects of this research are important, as signal integrity issues and related methods fit into a doctoral course Modern Electronic Circuits Design at our university.

This paper presents the determination of unknown parameters from the given parameters of a solar panel data sheet by using the iterative method i.e. Newton-Raphson method. The values obtained from the above are used to calculate the voltage-current and voltage-power characteristics of a solar panel at different radiation and temperature conditions. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) operation and control is developed. The matlab/simulink set-up of PV-module gives power and the power output of module is fed to the load through a dc-dc boost converter to track the maximum power output. The matlab/simulink arrangement of Incremental conductance algorithm is responsible for driving the dc-dc boost converter to track maximum power point (MPP). In this paper the MPP tracking is made for A battery charging of 24 volts with varying radiation and temperature conditions. Phase shift transformer is used to obtain 12 and 24 pulses as outputs. The quality of power mainly depends on some parameters like, variation in voltage magnitude, transients in voltage/current, harmonic content in waveforms etc. So in this paper, improvement in power quality is shown by comparing the THD (total harmonic distortion) of 6, 12 & 24 pulses. Quantum correlations between particles are usually formulated by assuming the persistence of an entangled state after the particles have separated. When entanglement is present, Bell‘s Inequalities are violated but when entanglement is destroyed, Bell‘s inequalities are satisfied. The aim of this work is to build computer program using matlab software to simulate Ekert protocol of quantum cryptography by implement event-based simulation method. And by used two types of probabilistic polarizing beam splitter. Since we used the argument of Malus intensity law to represent the quantum probability amplitude for each single photon in type1 and the Hadamard transformation of single photon to represent quantum probability amplitude for each single photon in type2. The program calculated the quantum correlation of each two polarized entangled photons as a value of Bell inequality (S) . The obtained results of (S) value after implemented suitable time tag model was in average S = 2.6 for type1, and S = 2.7 for type2. And this results investigated strong quantum correlation, and very agreement with that result of maximum correlation expected by quantum mechanics theory calculated for polarized entangled photons (S =2.83). After running the simulation program of Ekert protocol the results of established secret key between two legitimate users and the variation of (S) value showed very good ability of program for detecting eavesdropper, that by an obvious decrease in (S) value. When eavesdropper was present the value of (S) decreased to S = -0.29 and S = 0.19for type1 and type2 respectively.

The mathematical model of the hydro-viscous transmission system has been established in this paper based on the PID control technique. With the help of the simulation tool-matlab, the mathematical model has been simulated. The simulation results prove that the mathematical model is reasonable. The control system with the PID regulator has little overshoot and a satisfactory response performance after comparing the response curves of the common control system with that of the PID regulating control system. A more full and accurate theoretical foundation has been provided for further study and applications of the HVD speed regulating technology.
