An estimation method of source location of undesired electromagnetic wave from electronic devices by using the music algorithm is proposed. The music algorithm can estimate the direction of arrival accurately, however, the estimation error is large in the case of short range multiple coherent sources. In order to overcome this problem, a method to improve the estimation accuracy is presented. Experimental results show that the proposed method can reduce the maximum estimation error from 7 cm of the conventional method to 2 cm.

We describe a fast and accurate indoor localization technique using the multiple signal classification (music) algorithm. This algorithm is known as a high-resolution method for estimating directions of arrival (DOAs) or propagation delays. A critical problem in using the music algorithm for localization is its computational complexity. Therefore, we devised a novel algorithm called Time Space additional Temporal music (TSaT-music), which can rapidly and simultaneously identify DOAs and delays of multicarrier ultrasonic waves from transmitters. Computer simulations have proved that the computation time of the proposed algorithm is almost constant in spite of increasing numbers of incoming waves, and is faster than that of existing methods based on the music algorithm. Experiments in real environments showed that the standard deviation of position estimations in 3D space is less than 10 mm, which is satisfactory for indoor localization.

In this paper, the new 3D fusion localization algorithm model based on the multiple signal classification (music) algorithm is proposed to integrate space distance positioning with time delay positioning. Space-time cascade approach enhances the receiver to receive signal strength in the range of signal source direction and the multidimensional spectrum peak search only needed in corresponding scope. Space-time fusion approach can match the airspace-domain parameters with time-domain parameters to estimate and handle the estimation problem in which source number is greater than the number of array element. The simulation results show that the accuracy of the signal source is estimated by using the 3D fusion location algorithm model when the pitching angle is less than 70 degrees.

A modified music algorithm for DOA estimation was proposed in this paper. It weighted the eigenvectors in the noise subspace which decreased the proportion of the eigenvectors of the bigger eigenvalues and increased the proportion of the eigenvectors of the smaller eigenvalues. This method adjusted the specific gravity of the eigenvectors in the spatial spectrum, and it reduced the influence of subspace expanding to music method in the nonideal instance. Then it was exerted to the wideband DOA estimating. It greatly improved the resolution of wideband DOA estimation. Simulation results verified the improvements of wideband DOA estimation by applying the modified music algorithm.

This paper emulates the influence that array mismatch exerts on the performance estimation of music algorithm in beam-space domain, and hereof puts forward correction algorithm of independent noises basing on analyzing the performance of music algorithm in beam-space domain systematically focusing on array mismatch. The result of experiment manifests that the correction method increases the resolution probability of source and improves the robustness of music algorithm in beam-space domain.

Weighted music algorithm based on delay correlation is proposed because of the problem that music algorithm has low DOA estimation performance in actual system. The proposed algorithm makes full use of delay correlation information of impinging signals to improve estimation performance. We obtain a new receiving data matrix which has the same array manifold with original data by observing association between delay correlation function with array manifold. In fact, the number of sample data is limited, so its estimation performance was limited. Weighted matrix is introduced in this paper to optimize the estimation performance, and it constructed a new spectrum function which is called weighted music algorithm based on delay correlation(DC-Wmusic algorithm). The use of weighted matrix has enhanced the orthogonality of signal subspace and noise subspace. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm offer high flexibility and robust in DOA estimation.

The issue of reducing computational burden and its complexity while maintaining the adequate resolution has been a major problem in the area of DOA estimation. Compressive Sensing (CS) has been used in this regard to a great effect to address this issue. In recent works, it has been shown that by exploiting the sparsity of the observations obtained from the sensors, the computations can be greatly reduced without affecting resolution of the algorithm. This is done by introducing CS beamformers (CSB) to the picture. The dimension measurement matrix suggested by traditional CS theory however is found to be sub-optimal as CS beamformer doesn't use the regular CS recovery methods while implementing it. In this paper, we introduce a new strict and improved bound to the dimensions of the measurement matrix to be used in the CS beamformer music algorithm which decrease the number of measurements still further. We provide simulations to demonstrate the results and a comparison with the original algorithm hence showing that this bound is superior for CSB-music algorithm.

Along with the development of electric power system and the wide application of nonlinear equipments or devices, the harmonics in power networks become more complicated, and the interharmonics is more severe gradually. Dq transform and music algorithm is used to detect the frequency of interharmonics in this paper. The high amplitude fundamental waveform can be eliminated by dq transform. music algorithm is kinds of the subspace spectrum estimation methods having no requires for synchronous sampling, which is suitable for short-term stable interharmonic detection. Combination of both can effectively detect low interharmonic beside high amplitude fundamental waveform. The joint algorithm is robust when interharmonic-level noise is present. Finally, the amplitudes and phases of signal are estimated by the least squares method.
