Even though Pulse-Doppler radar estimates velocity by measuring phase shift amount between pulses, the visible Doppler range is limited by Pulse-Repetition-Interval (PRI). In radio wave, Doppler frequency occurs from moving target as well as sound wave and the phase shift information should include slightly in samples of individual pulses. In this study, music algorithm is applied to measure these minute shift. We show experimental results on Doppler shift amount estimation by using both fast-time and slow-time and show that the shift amount can be measured without depending on PRI.

In this paper, the new 3D fusion localization algorithm model based on the multiple signal classification (music) algorithm is proposed to integrate space distance positioning with time delay positioning. Space-time cascade approach enhances the receiver to receive signal strength in the range of signal source direction and the multidimensional spectrum peak search only needed in corresponding scope. Space-time fusion approach can match the airspace-domain parameters with time-domain parameters to estimate and handle the estimation problem in which source number is greater than the number of array element. The simulation results show that the accuracy of the signal source is estimated by using the 3D fusion location algorithm model when the pitching angle is less than 70 degrees.

Along with the development of electric power system and the wide application of nonlinear equipments or devices, the harmonics in power networks become more complicated, and the interharmonics is more severe gradually. Dq transform and music algorithm is used to detect the frequency of interharmonics in this paper. The high amplitude fundamental waveform can be eliminated by dq transform. music algorithm is kinds of the subspace spectrum estimation methods having no requires for synchronous sampling, which is suitable for short-term stable interharmonic detection. Combination of both can effectively detect low interharmonic beside high amplitude fundamental waveform. The joint algorithm is robust when interharmonic-level noise is present. Finally, the amplitudes and phases of signal are estimated by the least squares method.

For the non-uniform circular antenna array, the algorithm based on multiple signal classification (music) is a high-resolution estimation algorithm on direction-of-arrival (DOA). This paper analyzes that the direction finding precision of multiple signal classification (music) algorithm is under the different background signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), multi-path or mirror reflection, and different number of snapshots. At the same time, it simulates that the amplitude and phase inconsistency of super-heterodyne receiver channels effects on the direction finding precision of multiple signal classification (music) algorithm. The simulation results show that the music algorithm has higher direction finding precision, and meet the requirements of a direction finding system under certain snapshots and SNR measurement. This paper affords the effective use for a reference on the direction finding based on spatial spectrum estimation.

Sparse arrays are gaining a lot of consideration due to their ability to increase degrees of freedom of an array, an aspect that allows for resolving of more sources than the number of sensor elements. In this paper direction of arrival estimation for coprime linear arrays using multiple signal classification algorithm is presented. Two super-resolution methods namely decompose and combine as well as unfolded coprime linear array are considered with an aim of putting forth an in-depth performance comparison of the two. Both methods analyses nonuniform linear array by first, decomposing it according to its coprime integer pair to form two independent sub-arrays 1 and 2, proceeded by application of the estimation algorithm. Although decompose and combine method ensures computational simplicity since it considers either of the decomposed sub-arrays separately, its resolution and performance efficiency is lower compared to unfolded coprime linear array method which uses the two sub-array data simultaneously thereby preserving the intrinsic mutual information of the array, an aspect that is lost in the former method.

In this paper, we study the performance of music algorithm in presence of scattering under the assumption of time-invariant channel during the observation period. To this aim, an approximate distribution of the Direction Of Arrival (DOA) estimates is derived. Additionally a statistical analysis is carried out where a formulas for the bias and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of the DOA estimates are given. Electronically steerable parasitic array radiator (ESPAR) antenna is well known for its low-power consumption, small-size antenna. In this paper, a novel fourth-order music algorithm using a 13-element ESPAR antennas for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation is proposed based on processing the covariance matrix of the array output signals. Unlike the conventional music algorithm which is an effective method for DOA estimation, the main motivation of the fourth-order music algorithm is that it is insensitive to additive Gaussian noise regardless of whether it is white or colored so it can improve the precision of the DOA estimation. By comparing with the conventional algorithm, our proposed algorithm can obtain more than 45dB gain under SNR=10dB, which can obviously show an outstanding performance improvement. Finally, computer simulation results show that the novel algorithm can resolve up to one impinging signal with less than 0.15 degrees under SNR=0dB and provide an estimation with less than 0.6 degrees under SNR=5dB for two impinging signals coming from different angles.

After that, according to measured data of two kinds of plane target on fully polarized and high range resolution radar system, author mainly investigated particular utilization of music algorithm in radar imaging, two-dimensional radar images are generated for two targets measured in compact range. In view of the fact that the conventional eLoran receiver sky-ground wave recognition method can not effectively utilize the signal energy, according to the characteristics of the eLoran sky-ground wave frequency domain signal mathematical model, a sky-ground wave recognition method based on multiple signal classification ( music) algorithm is proposed. This method converts the problem of time delay estimation into the problem of spectrum estimation, and then uses the music algorithm with high spectral resolution to realize the super-resolution estimation of eLoran sky-ground wave time delay. The feasibility of time delay estimation based on single measurement data is analyzed. The performance of music algorithm applied to single measurement data is simulated and tested. Simulation results show that the proposed method has super resolution capability for eLoran sky wave time delay estimation.
