The purpose of this study is to discuss the design and implementation of matrix algorithm for transmission and distribution network (TDN) fault location. Traditional fault location methods have some problems, such as low positioning accuracy, slow speed and sensitivity to noise and interference, which limit the safe and stable operation of TDN. In order to solve these problems, a fault location method based on matrix decomposition and pattern recognition is proposed. Firstly, the paper introduces the basic principles and advantages of matrix decomposition and pattern recognition technology in fault location. Then, a fault location algorithm based on matrix decomposition and pattern recognition is designed, and it is implemented and optimized in detail. Then, a simulation experiment is carried out to simulate different types and locations of faults, and the performance of the algorithm in positioning accuracy, speed, robustness and real-time performance is analyzed. The experimental results show that the fault location method based on matrix decomposition and pattern recognition is superior to the traditional method in positioning accuracy and speed, and has good robustness and practicability. This study provides effective technical support for the safe operation of TDN, and has certain theoretical and practical value. © 2024 IEEE.

The Transient Performance- Evaluation Model for Desalination of Seawater Based on matrix algorithm - a Requirement for a Ported Arabic Smart City

Based on the transient performance model for desalination of seawater based on the matrix algorithm, the desalination device is designed according to the evaporation condensation mechanism of falling film in horizontal tube, and its structure operation and operation principle are analyzed. Then, the differential equation of the transient heat-conduction problem of the seawater desalination device is constructed. On the basis of experimental data or numerical calculation results, the temperature field of structure at some time is selected to form the snapshots matrix, and a set of optimal eigenorthogonal decomposition bases is obtained by eigenorthogonal decomposition of the snapshots matrix. Finally, the finite-element discrete scheme of the nonlinear transient heat-conduction problem is reduced by using eigenorthogonal decomposition bases of the linear problem, and the lower-order ordinary differential equations of the reduced-order model for the nonlinear transient heat-conduction problem of the seawater desalination device are obtained. The ordinary differential equations of the reduced-order model are solved by solving the ordinary differential equations of the reduced-order model. The distribution of the temperature field at each time of the structure is obtained. The performance of the model is verified by numerical examples under the conditions of two-stage temperature-difference heating and only the top-level heating. The results show that the model has good accuracy and efficiency.

Fault Localization in Digital Power Distribution Networks Using a Chaotic Binary Particle Swarm Optimization-Enhanced matrix algorithm

As digital distribution networks grow in complexity, ensuring efficient fault localization has become critical for reliable power delivery. This paper introduces a novel fault localization method that synergistically combines a matrix algorithm with a chaotic binary particle swarm optimization (CBPSO) algorithm. The matrix algorithm initially identifies faulty network segments and verifies alarm data integrity using a causal correlation matrix. To address instances where alarm data distortion prevents accurate localization, the CBPSO algorithm is employed to refine fault identification, leveraging its chaotic mapping to enhance global search capabilities and prevent premature convergence. Simulation tests conducted on IEEE33 and IEEE123 node systems under various fault scenarios demonstrate the proposed method's effectiveness. The results highlight a 100% fault localization accuracy, significant dimensionality reduction in the solution space, and faster computation compared to existing methods. This work contributes a robust and efficient solution for fault localization in digital distribution networks, advancing smart grid fault management technologies.

Innovative method for creating fitted brassiere wire prototype based on transformation matrix algorithm

It has been difficult to obtain the fitted bra wire shape for women's breasts, since the under breast root shape extracted from 3D bodyscan breast images is three dimensional. A detailed matrix algorithm for the geometric relation is firstly introduced and presented for transferring the 3D bra wire shape to one that is 2D to create a fitted bra underwire shape prototype. In this paper, the under breast root shape was extracted from a medium average avatar, then the curve line was exported as a point format. Points were taken as research subject, then the transformation matrix algorithm was applied to the spatial coordinates of the points to fulfill the transformation. Thereby a detailed program was operated in MATLAB for obtaining the coordinates of points to create the contour for the 2D wire shape. The matrix algorithm method was a useful, simple and straightforward method to implement. In addition, it works well for various kinds of breast shapes.

To improve the distribution network reliability with distributed generation (DG) under fault conditions, Islanding operation has become an important operation mode. This paper proposes a matrix algorithm for island partition of distribution network. Aiming at characteristics of distribution network and demand of island partition, this paper presents two objective functions which are the average number of layer and the average number of degree. This paper expounds in detail determination methods of node and branch priority level. Base on all above, the matrix algorithm can take tie switch, load importance, load controllability, node layer, node degree and load capacity into account. Finally the analysis case shows that the proposed method can effectively solve the issue of power island partition of distribution network and has practical value.

As one part of some work in ordered information systems, distribution reduction is studied in inconsistent ordered information systems. The dominance matrix is restated for reduction acquisition in dominance relations based on information systems. matrix algorithm is stepped for distribution reduction acquisition. And program is implemented by the algorithm. The approach provides an effective tool to the theoretical research and applications for ordered information systems in practices. Cases about detailed and valid illustrations are employed to explain and verify the algorithm and the program which shows the effectiveness of the algorithm in complicated information systems.

Research on Distribution Network Fault Location Based on Electric Field Coupling Voltage Sensing and Multi-Source Information Fusion

As the last link of power transmission, the safe operation of the distribution network directly affects the experience of power users, and short-time distribution network faults can cause huge economic losses. There are few fault recording devices in rural or suburban distribution networks, and it is difficult to upload information, which brings difficulties to accurate fault location. In order to improve the accuracy of fault location, this study proposes a fault location method for distribution networks based on electric field-coupled voltage sensing and multi-source information fusion. First, an optimized resource pool architecture is proposed, and a distribution network data fusion platform is established based on this architecture to effectively integrate voltage, current and other fault data. Second, in order to overcome the problem of expanding the fault location range that may be caused by the current-based matrix algorithm, this study proposes an improved directed graph-based matrix algorithm and combines it with the matrix algorithm of voltage quantities to form a joint location criterion, which improves the accuracy of fault location. Finally, for the single-ended ranging method, which is easily affected by the wave impedance discontinuity points in the system or the transition resistance in the line, this article introduces a fault ranging algorithm based on double-ended electrical quantities, which improves the accuracy and applicable range of fault ranging. Through simulation verification, we found that the matrix algorithm based on the electrical quantity can accurately locate the fault section in the case of a single fault with a single power supply. The proposed joint matrix algorithm can accurately locate the fault section in the case of a single fault with multiple power sources. An improved FTU-based matrix algorithm is presented for faults locating in complex distribution networks with multiple source multiple and faults. Firstly, the paper supposes the only power source and the positive direction according to the structural characteristics of the distribution system, and build the description matrix D which is based on the positive direction and the relevancy between different feeders. Based on the fault current's direction sent from the feeder terminal unit(FTU), we can set up the fault information vector F. Secondly, combined with the description matrix D, by searching the nonzero elements in the fault information vector F, we can establish the fault location vector L according to the fault locating criterion. Finally, by observing the elements in fault location vector L, we can find out the fault area location quickly. This algorithm can solve the problems of feeder terminal fault, circle net fault and multiple source multiple fault, all of which cannot be solved by other algorithm completely. And this method needs not matrix multiply or standardization. It's easy to build the description matrix D, which is very sparse and has good real-time and practicality. The criterion of this algorithm is proved to be effective by simulation in MATLAB environment.

Topology optimization of AC/DC hybrid distribution network with energy router based on power flow calculation

The application of energy routers will play an important role in the future AC/DC allocation networks. Based on the characteristics of energy routers, this article analyzes the application scenarios of several distribution network topologies and establishes a equivalent steady-state model of the allocation network based on energy routers. Two important evaluation indicators are selected in the equivalent model and optimized according to the matrix algorithm and adaptive multiplier. After optimization, the model is used for power flow distribution calculation and network loss calculation. The numerical analysis outcomes show that the application of this device can greatly improve the value of voltage of the distribution network and reduce the loss of the power grid. The matrix LU factorization algorithm is a fundamental algorithm in linear algebra. We propose a generalization of the LU and LEU algorithms to accommodate the case of a commutative domain and its field of quotients. This algorithm decomposes any matrix A into a product of three matrices A=LSU, where each element of the triangular matrices L and U is a minor of matrix A. The number of non-zero elements in matrix S is equal to rank(A), and each of them is the inverse of the product of a specific pair of matrix A minors. The algorithm's complexity is equivalent to that of matrix multiplication.
