Safety evaluation system of salt cavern hydrogen storage based on matter-element extension method

The safe and large-scale storage of hydrogen is a key enabler for the commercial development of the hydrogen industry. This study analyses the impact of varying cyclic internal gas pressure (IGP) magnitudes on the stability of salt cavern hydrogen storage (SCHS), as well as the influence of diverse salt rock permeability and porosity conditions on the tightness of SCHS. Subsequently, a novel safety evaluation system for SCHS has been devised and its safety has been assessed using the matter-element extension method. The findings indicate that: (1) The IGP of hydrogen stored in the two-butted-well horizontal (TWH) salt cavern is well stabilised at 8-18 MPa. The volume shrinkage and displacement are 9.3 % and 4.36 m, respectively, both of which are below the critical value. (2) It has been determined that when the permeability of the salt rock is 1e- 19 m2, the leakage percentage after 30 years of operation is 34.1 %, which exceeds the critical value. The salt cavern in question is not suitable for storing hydrogen gas due to its poor tightness. (3) When the permeability of the salt rock in this TWH salt cavern is less than 1e- 21 m2, the safety level is I, indicating that the safety of SCHS is very safe. This study presents a novel system for the assessment of the safety of SCHS, together with theoretical guidance for the feasibility assessment and site selection for SCHS.

China's construction industry is facing increasing pressure for transformation and upgrading, with high-quality development becoming an essential goal. However, the precise definition and evaluation criteria for high-quality development remain ambiguous. Against this backdrop, this study focuses on 11 cities in Zhejiang province to explore the connotations of high-quality development in the construction industry and establishes an evaluation index system for assessing it. This study employs the entropy weight method and matter-element extension method to evaluate the high-quality development levels of the construction industry across these cities. The empirical results reveal that the development of the construction industry in Zhejiang province is uneven across cities, with significant potential for overall improvement. This study validates the proposed index system and evaluation model while supplementing empirical evidence;it also enriches the literature and provides both theoretical and technical support for advancing the construction industry's transition toward high-quality development.

Resilience assessment for the emergency supplies security system based on a matter-element extension method

The emergency supplies security system (ESSS) plays a vital role in preventing major disasters and ensuring people's safety. Resilience is an important benchmark to characterize the ability of disaster resistance of the ESSS. However, the ESSS complexity and resilience dynamic evolution make ESSS resilience assessment challenging. This study develops a hierarchical ESSS resilience assessment system comprising three dimensions and twelve criteria, and proposes a dynamic resilience assessment model based on a matter-element extension method. Subsequently, a case study is conducted to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed model. The assessment results indicate that the ESSS resilience in the sample cities has improved over the past five years. However, there are still some shortcomings such as low response rates and high operating costs. This study provides a valuable criteria reference and effective model support for ESSS resilience assessment, which is beneficial for decision makers to clarify the resilience profile, identify the weakness and promote resilience improvement.

A Risk Assessment Model of Coalbed Methane Development Based on the matter-element extension method

Coalbed methane development represents a complex system engineering operation that involves complex technology, many links, long cycles, and various risks. If risks are not controlled in a timely and effective manner, project operators may easily cause different levels of casualties, resource waste and property loss. To evaluate the risk status of coalbed methane development projects, this paper constructs a coalbed methane development risk assessment index system that consists of six first grade indexes and 45 second grade indexes. The weight of each index is calculated based on the structure entropy weight method. Then, a theoretical model for risk assessments of coalbed methane development is established based on the matter-element extension method. Finally, the model is applied to analyze a coalbed methane development project in the southern Qinshui Basin of China. The results show that the overall risk level of the coalbed methane development project is Grade II, indicating that the overall risk of the project is small, but the local risk of the project needs to be rectified in time. The assessment results are consistent with the actual operation of the project, indicating that the established risk assessment model has good applicability and effectiveness.

The subway operation mileage increases year by year, and its operation safety status has received extensive attention. Strengthening the emergency management capability and improving the efficiency of emergency prevention and disposal are very important to the development of the subway. On the basis of the evaluation index system of traditional subway emergency management capability, starting from the two parties of subway operating company and government, combined with the theory of crisis management and the requirements of "One case, three systems" system, this paper establishes a comprehensive and multi-level management of subway emergency capability evaluation index system. Considering the fuzzy incompatibility of subway emergency management capability evaluation, this paper constructs the evaluation of the emergency management capability based on matter-element extension method, and uses the COWA operator to determine the weight of each index, which weakens the effect of expert's subjective preference to index weight, and improves the accuracy of the evaluation model. Finally, this paper takes Qingdao Metro Line 3 as an example to evaluate its emergency management capability. The result shows: Qingdao Metro Line 3 emergency management capability is in a strong level, and its emergency reduction capability, response capability, "One case, three systems" construction and emergency support capability of government departments are in high level, and it needs to improve the level of emergency readiness capability and recovery capability.

A new quantitative digital twin maturity model for high-end equipment

Digital twins (DTs) have shown great potential in both academia and industry due to their ability to interconnect and integrate physical and virtual worlds. A DT maturity model for high-end equipment is important to accu-rately evaluate the maturity level of DT and further develop an advanced DT. This paper is one of the early endeavours, to the best of the authors' knowledge, to provide a new DT maturity model for high-end equipment combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. The qualitative analysis of the DT maturity model includes a comparison and assessment of 3 dimensions and 27 rubrics for different DTs of high-end equipment. In addition, 6 maturity levels and their definitions for each rubric are proposed for maturity scoring. The quantitative analysis of the DT maturity model is conducted based on an analytic hierarchy process and a matter-element extension method, which can be used to provide improvement advice according to the rubric importance and its improvement difficulties. The proposed DT maturity model is applied to evaluate the maturity of DTs of three high-end equipment, including underground engineering equipment, a large-scale wind turbine, and an indus-trial shop-floor. The evaluated maturity results could be used to elevate the maturity of DT by improving rubrics with high significance, low level, and low improvement difficulty.

Evaluation of greenness of green buildings based on carbon emissions

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to evaluate green buildings from the angle of greenness and improve the evaluation system. And the matter-element extension method is used to evaluate the greenness of green buildings, in order to provide useful references for the evaluation system of green buildings. Design/methodology/approach First, this paper studies the aspects of safety and durability, health and comfort, living convenience, resource-saving, environmental liability and ecological quality, etc. For the first time, carbon emission is included in the evaluation system, 18 key evaluation indexes are determined by using the Delphi method, and the green building evaluation index system is established. Then, the combined weight method is proposed to determine the weight of each evaluation index, and the greenness evaluation model of green building is established with the matter-element extension method. Finally, taking Beijing Daxing International Airport as an example, the evaluation model of green building greenness was established to evaluate the building. Findings In this paper, the greenness evaluation model of green building established by the matter-element extension method solves the problem of incompatibility between qualitative and quantitative material elements in multi-factor evaluation. It makes the evaluation indexes more accurate and objective relative to the affiliation calculation of the evaluation set and improves the scientific, accuracy and reliability of the evaluation model. Originality/value In this paper, for the first time, carbon emission-related indicators are included in the green building evaluation system, which makes the evaluation system more perfect. In addition, a more scientific extension matter-element method is used to evaluate the greenness of green buildings, breaking the previous rough star evaluation method.

Since our country has started to build the pilot project of a smart city in 2013, its effect has already appeared tentatively promoted by policies. However, its evaluation system is not yet mature. Therefore, this technical paper first considered the construction of evaluation index system according to the concept and construction situation of Smart City, adopted the five-year statistics of Sichuan Province as empirical data, and this paper applied modeling calculation to draw the objective state of current Smart City construction. It also included the construction of evaluation index system with the introduction of a matter-element extension method and entropy method to assign the weights, discussed the changes in the maximum relational degree of the six rule hierarchy indicators, and analyzed the key index that influences its development in the soft urban environment and information service to point out the direction for the next phase of the development.
