Along with the rapid development of the electric technology, the direct-current power was wide application, its quality immediately influence operating performance of electrical equipment or controlling system. At present, basic link of each direct-current power is approximately same in the market. They include the alternating current supply, alternating current transformer (sometimes not to use), the leveling circuit, and the filter voltage-stabilizer circuit and so on. This article introduced the method and the principle of MCU controlling system which was used in the direct-current voltage-stabilized power, realizing the digit controlling adjustment of voltage-stabilized source and step-by-step with 0.1V under the wide output. In addition, it has analyzed the working principle to cause voltage stable and the method to adjust it. This power source has the characteristic that simple to adjust the voltage, direct-viewing to be read, stable voltage output and be advantageous for the intellectualized management.

Optimizing RGB Convolution on Cortex-M7 MCU: Approaches for Performance Improvement

With the advancement of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), deploying Deep Neural Network (DNN) models on edge devices like microcontrollers has become one of the most intriguing areas in the field of AI. However, seamlessly deploying and operating these models in extremely constrained environments poses significant challenges. Despite these limitations, microcontrollers are often utilized due to their ability to operate with low power consumption for specific tasks. Deep learning models typically consist of numerous computationally intensive convolutional layers, with the RGB channels contributing to the highest peak memory usage and overhead. In this paper, we propose an efficient CNN kernel algorithm that enables deep learning models to operate effectively on resource-constrained microcontroller architectures through network compression. By focusing on low-power ARM Cortex-M7 based systems, we analyze the balance between key metrics such as memory consumption, execution time, and speed in relation to various parameters through exploration. Our proposed CNN algorithm reduces temporary memory overhead by at least the square of the kernel size compared to the im2col-based convolution implementation. Furthermore, it demonstrates a speedup of 1.15 times for CNNs, even with modifications to a single layer.

In this paper, three common measuring methods for the principles of water turbidity, namely, scattering, transmission and the ratio method are introduced. A method combined with modulation and demodulation techniques based on pulse width modulation (PWM) pulse for turbidity measurement using light intensity modulation is proposed. The experimental system that is, the realizing circuit of modulation and demodulation is described in detail. The experimental system was used to measure Formazine Standard Solution turbidity of different values. The experimental results are shown, and then turbidity values are calculated using the three methods. Through the analysis and comparison of the experimental results, it is shown that when using the ratio method combined with the modulation technique, the interference of background light can be eliminated effectively, so the measuring accuracy is significantly improved.

A new magnetic plate-type precision seeding production line and its control system were designed based on the magnetic seed-metering principle. The control system is consisted of DVP-40ES Programmable Logic controller and LJD-51-XB+ Mico controller unit. The PLC control system controls the working flow of the production line. The MCU control system controls turnover movement of the sowing board and up-and-down movement of the seed case for whole tray seed-filling and sowing. Seeding tests for the magnetic powder coated rape seeds showed that the rate of single-seeding, over-seeding and miss-seeding were 90.2778%, 4.6875% and 5.0347% respectively. The seeding speed was 257 trays per hour, an average of each tray with 14s. It meets the requirements of precision seeding. The system design is reasonable and reliable.

It is very critical for solar racers to achieve real time tracking of their solar vehicle during any race. The system is made of real time visualisation of the video feedback of the car from the escort vehicle, the location of the car on the maps as it is racing and its velocity. The real time video feedback of the race could be retrieved from the cloud for broadcasting purposes. The main advantage of this system is the wireless link communication which was achieved for distance transmission, coupled to a very reliable and robust desktop application for data sensor display purposes.

The data exchanging between the Programmable Logic controllers (PLC) is usually completed via wired network in the Distributed Control System (DCS). The wireless communication ZigBee technology is introduced in the design of a new kind of PLC to overcome the limits of the communication cable. The PLC with micro controller unit (MCU) as the core has strong reliability and control ability. The reliability, temperature characteristics, voltage characteristics, input/output characteristics and communication characteristics of the PLC are tested according to the Chinese National Standard GB/T15969. The test results show that the reliability of PLC accords with the design requirement.

Modern street lighting systems are demonstrating capability of saving energy through light dimming in the case of no vehicle motion. Continuous monitoring of street lamps is essential to ensure the reliability of street lighting systems. This study presents a new electronic design and implantation of a wireless diagnostic system which is capable of continuously measuring the lamp current and detecting faulty lamps. The system sends a warning SMS message to the authorized person reporting the status of the lamps as either working properly or faulty. The presented diagnostic system includes Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) with Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card connected to the Arduino unit to allow SMS messaging. The implemented system characterizes the capability of scaling and controllable time response.

An estimation model of the soil organic matter content has been built based on NIR spectroscopy and a portable soil organic matter detector based on optical sensor is developed. The detector uses a micro processor 89S52 as the micro controller unit (MCU) and consists of an optical system and a control system. The optical system includes a 850nm near-infrared lamp-house, a lamp-house driving-circuit, a Y type optical fiber, a probe, and a photoelectric sensor. The control system includes an amplified circuit, an A/D circuit, a display circuit with LCD, and a storage circuit with USB interface. Firstly the single waveband optical signal from the near-infrared lamp-house is transferred to the surface of the target soil via the incidence fibers. Then the reflected optical signal is collected and transferred to photoelectric sensor, where the optical signal is conveyed to the electrical signal. Subsequently, the obtained electrical signal is processed by 89S52 MCU. Finally, the calculated soil organic matter content is displayed on the LCD and stored in the USB disk. The calibration experiment using the estimation model of the soil organic matter is conducted. The decision coefficient (R-2) reaches 0.9839 between the measured data by the soil organic matter sensor and by the laboratory chemistry method.

In this paper, the authors propose applying a handheld actuator to actively control spiral-type wireless capsule endoscope (WCE). The actuator and WCE were fabricated and relevant tests were examined in porcine small intestine. The actuator consisted of step motor, driving circuit, micro controller unit (MCU), input and output circuits, and permanent magnet attached to step motor. Spiral-type WCE was composed of a commercial WCE, a cylindrical magnetic shell, and a spiral. MCU controlled the rotation of permanent magnet so as to produce rotational magnetic field by which the WCE was rotated and propelled. It was demonstrated that the WCE could move forward or backward freely under the control of the actuator. The actuator has great potential for active control of WCE in the future's clinical application.
