Given the determinate number and space between the antenna arrays units, the feeding-back amplitudes and phases are optimized and selected by this way to make the shaped-beam patterns satisfy the designing request. Computer simulations show that mind evolutionary algorithm can be applied in optimization problems of uniformly-spaced linear array and the optimization result is better than that obtained from Genetic algorithm.

The mind evolutionary algorithm (MEA) was combined with HFSS based on finite element method and applied in antenna optimization. Antenna parameters are optimized by MEA, with the simulation performance of HFSS as the fitness function of MEA to direct the evolutionary. Then an E- broadband microstrip antenna was designed and the efficiency of this method was proved. Simulation showed that the impedance bandwidth of the antenna optimized by MEA could increase of about 4% than traditional method, the return loss S-11 was lower in the passband and the gain in the center frequency was higher

Firstly, the normalized objective function including investment and operating cost, loss cost and purchase is proposed, then the algorithm is achieved by Matlab. The results obtained show that the global search capabilities can achieve balance and the optimal solution can be found quickly.

A new transformer fault diagnostic method based on fuzzy neural network and mind evolutionary algorithm was presented. According to the "similartaxis" and "dissimilation", mind evolutionary algorithm has been used to optimize the membership function parameters and connection weights of fuzzy neural network, and it benefits to find the global optimal solution quickly. The analysis and experimental results showed that the method can improve processing ability of network, and the convergence of method is faster and diagnosis accuracy is higher than that of the GA-fuzzy neural network and PSO-fuzzy neural network. Therefore, the method can be used for the transformer fault diagnosis.

The stable constraint conditions of cascade PID controller were obtained by generalized Hermite-Biehler theorem, and an optimal controller was researched. Through mind evolutionary algorithm (MEA), optimal cascade PID controller parameterS were found. According to the defects lying in mind evolutionary algorithm, the niche technique is developed to improve MEA in this paper. The swarm is classified and reduced the searching zone, which keeps the swarm diversity and to speed up optimization. Based on parameter optimization and tuning for the main steam temperature cascade control systems in power plants with serious parameter uncertainty, multi-disturbance and large delay, the simulation results show that this method has the advantages of fast optimization and low computational complexity;it is very effective for cascade PID parameter optimization and endues main steam temperature control systems with better control qualities and better system robustness.
