Today, we live in a society where time and space have been shortened by the introduction of digital technologies. This situation puts a lot of pressure on the market and companies unable to adapt are doomed to extinction. Collaboration is needed. Although the systems engineering approach brings many benefits to manage risks and to improve the quality, cost and delay of deliveries;we argue in this paper that we are missing today adapted methods and tools in the model-based system engineering to support this change of paradigm. based on use cases' observations, 5 collaborative systems engineering challenges are raised to position 2 research tracks.

In view of the problems existing in the current product development,such as the poor consistency of models and data,the gap between the design of general quality characteristics and functional characteristics,and the lack of systematicness of existing research,this paper studies the concept of integrated design of general quality characteristics and functional characteristics,defines the specific connotation of integrated design,and analyzes and studies the relevant elements of integrated design in combination with the product development process,builds an integrated design framework covering the whole process and characteristics of product development,clarifies the relationship between the elements of the integrated design framework from six dimensions,and as a according,a typical architecture of the integrated design software systembased on the framework is ***,take the development process of typical electronic system as an example,a general process of integrated design is given,which lays an important foundation for the implementation of integrated design and the promotion and application of related technologies.

Activity Diagrams are prominently used for modeling for both system and software engineering. Their metamodel in the Unified modeling Language (UML), and the systemmodeling Language (SysML), is used to standardize specifying behavioral models in a flow-based manner. However, due to the high-level metamodel, further description is needed to facilitate a precise interpretation of these diagrams in a computational environment. A Discrete Event system Specification (DEVS) was devised to provide an initial simulation of activities and therefore enable more advanced simulations and experiments. Another line of research has been focusing on providing execution for activities according to the Semantics of a Foundational Subset for Executable UML models. In this work, we examine both approaches highlighting the similarities and differences. We also attempt to examine the capacity of each approach to handle potential complexity that might arise during the model lifespan, especially for modeling system of systems.

The rapid advancements in big data and the Internet of Things (IoT) have significantly accelerated the digital transformation of medical institutions, leading to the widespread adoption of Digital Twin Healthcare (DTH). The Cloud DTH Platform (CDTH) serves as a cloud-based framework that integrates DTH models, healthcare resources, patient data, and medical services. By leveraging real-time data from medical devices, the CDTH platform enables intelligent healthcare services such as disease prediction and medical resource optimization. However, the platform functions as a system of systems (SoS), comprising interconnected yet independent healthcare services. This complexity is further compounded by the integration of both black-box AI models and domain-specific mechanistic models, which pose challenges in ensuring the interpretability and trustworthiness of DTH models. To address these challenges, we propose a model-basedsystems engineering (MBSE)-driven DTH modeling methodology derived from systematic requirement and functional analyses. To implement this methodology effectively, we introduce a DTH model development approach using the X language, along with a comprehensive toolchain designed to streamline the development process. Together, this methodology and toolchain form a robust framework that enables engineers to efficiently develop interpretable and trustworthy DTH models for the CDTH platform. By integrating domain-specific mechanistic models with AI algorithms, the framework enhances model transparency and reliability. Finally, we validate our approach through a case study involving elderly patient care, demonstrating its effectiveness in supporting the development of DTH models that meet healthcare and interpretability requirements.
