Intermittent sources of energy represent a challenge for electrical networks, particularly regarding demand satisfaction at peak times. Energy management tools such as load shaving or storage systems can be used to mitigate intermittency. In this work, the value of different mechanisms to move energy through time is examined through a multi-objective programming approach, that aims at minimizing operating costs as well as carbon emissions. Among main achievements, we mention a sensitivity result that provides a novel three-dimensional Pareto front. The new tool complements the traditional curves of indifference costs with a quantitative measure for assessing the relative value of the conflicting objectives. The methodology is assessed on three instances representing typical configurations in Brazil, Germany and France, respectively corresponding to a system that is hydro-dominated, thermo-dominated, and with a balanced mix of hydro and thermal power. The corresponding Pareto fronts show that lowering carbon emissions can also reduce generation costs if the power mix is sufficiently diversified.

multi-objective programming, as an effective mathematical model for dealing with multiple objectives, is widely used in the fields of complex system optimization, management decision analysis and artificial intelligence. This paper first analyzes the characteristics and deficiencies of the multi-objective planning model based on priority factors, and proposes a multi-objective planning method based on relative deviations. It mainly introduces the relative deviation to describe the degree of deviation from the target value and reflect the satisfactory state of the decision results. It establishes a planning model in which each objective is at the same level, and analyzes the effectiveness of the method in conjunction with a specific case. The comprehensive analysis and the corresponding conclusions show that the solution model established not only ensures the existence of the solution, but also guarantees the reliability of the decision-making result. It has strong explanatory and operability, and to a certain extent, enriches the existing fuzzy decision-making method.

Under the background of frequent occurrence of extreme drought as well as increasing attention to water shortage, regional water right distribution has become a vital approach for local government to advocate water right and manage water resource. The connotation along with subject and object of regional water right are investigated in this article. The manifestations of regional water right include life water right, ecological water right and productive water right. multi-objective programming model of regional water right distribution in the fields of life, ecology and production is established taking social, ecological and economic targets into account. In accordance with the principle that basic water right superiors than public water right and competitive water right, the distribution priority is confirmed by questionnaires design and AHP method. Finally, empirical research is conducted by data from Ningxia and results are obtained under the condition of objects equilibrium. 0.3188 billion m(3) water should be distributed to life activities and 0.1109 billion m(3) water should be distributed to ecological activities, 7.3331 billion m(3) to production activities according to the abovementioned empirical research.

To alleviate the conflicts between the current flight traffic demand and the resource constraints of airspace, we need to improve the restrictions of flow allocation caused by the static air traffic flow allocation mode. The author analyzes the optimal allocation problem of dynamic adjusting flight flow and draws the conclusion that the problem should satisfy multiple targets, such as low flight delays, low flight cost and balancing the load of the route. Then consider a variety of limiting factors, such as the capacity of the route, flight planning, emergency situations, etc. Then establish multi-objective programming model of dynamic adjusting flight traffic. The objective function is determined by the flight cost, the flight delays and the value of the load balance. And the value of the load balance was first proposed according to the idea of least squares method. Then solve the model based on linear weighted technique. Finally the numerical result shows that the model can satisfy the multiple objectives and dynamic adjust the flight traffic optimally, that proves the rationality and validity of the model and the algorithm.

In this paper, a fuzzy goal programming (FGP) algorithm for solving bi-level multi- objectiveprogramming problems with fuzzy demands is presented. These fuzzy demands reflect the experts' imprecise or fuzzy understandings of the nature of parameters in the problem formulation process are assumed to be characterized as fuzzy numbers. Using the level sets of fuzzy parameters, the corresponding non fuzzy bilevel programming problem is introduced. In the proposed algorithm, the membership functions for the defined fuzzy goals of all objective functions at the two levels, as well as the membership functions for the vector of decision variables controlled by FLDM are developed in the model formulation of the problem. Then FGP algorithm is used to achieve the highest degree of each of the membership goals by minimizing their deviational variables and thereby obtaining the most satisfactory solution for all decision makers. Illustrative numerical example is given to demonstrate the proposed algorithm.

The theme park industry has grown intensely in recent times and offer every day a greater number of attractions and activities to visit. The problem is that, when a tourist visits a theme park, he has a short space of time and he wants to maximize the usefulness of the visit, such as enjoying as many attractions as possible. Visitors face a serious selection problem - they must identify the best alternatives so as to optimally utilize their time and visit to the attractions that most interest them, besides keeping a check on the money spent during the visit. It would be very useful if they had a tool to help them take an optimum decision from among the different alternatives, considering their goals, restrictions and preferences. Therefore, we are going to develop a tool that, through a multi-objective model, helps theme park visitors who want to obtain an ideal route, helping them choose among the various alternatives: what activities to pursue, in what order, at what time, etc. The system can be used from home through a web page or application, or when present in the park, which also allows the tourist to incorporate the suggestions that arise in the park on the fly. This tool could improve the satisfaction of tourists visiting the park as it offers the maximum utility with regard to the activities undertaken within the timeframe available to them, thus also rendering added value to the theme park. One of the challenges facing theme parks management is the management of visitor flow, characterized by the dual objective of ensuring the highest quality experience for the tourists and reducing the risks arising from congestion of the different areas and/or most visited attractions, and we consider that this tool can help them to do it.

Fuzziness is a common uncertainty who exists widespread in decision process and how to process fuzziness is a widespread context in academic and application fields. For the multi-objective programming under fuzzy environment, this paper firstly analyze the essential characteristics of fuzzy objectives. Then fuzzy objectives are divided into three kinds and represent by fuzzy number by introducing deviation parameter a. Then, regarding membership of fuzzy number as the satisfied degree, we establish the multi-objective programming based on satisfied degree (denotes as MP-SD) and a new solving strategy based on MP-SD is further given. Finally, we illustrate the validity of MPSD through a case. The analytical results show that the proposed approach is effective in fuzzy decision environment and provide rich decision theories for integrated multi-objective programming problems in artificial intelligence and resource management and so on.

This paper estimates the macroeconornic costs of CO2 emission reduction in China employing the input-output analysis with the multi-objective programming approach. The results show that the effect of reducing CO2 emissions on China's economy is significant. Under the present conditions, the estimated macroeconomic costs of CO2 emission reduction in 2010 for China are approximately 3,100-4,024 RMB t-1. The stronger the abatement actions, the higher the macroeconomic costs of per unit emission reduction would be. Excavation industry, oil industry, chemical industry, and metal smelting industry have high potential to abate their CO2 emissions.
